Greek Isles has always had good service for my friend, who has been going for awhile for eyebrow maintenance… but, alas, today she forgot her wallet, so before paying for a $ 10 eyebrow job she apologized and said she’d have to run home(3 blocks away) to get her wallet. The person at the counter insisted my friend leave her $ 500 iphone6 at Greek Isles as collateral while she went for her wallet. My friend was really upset by the experience(she doesn’t use Unilocal, but I do). Trusting a good-hearted repeat customer, as my friend is, to return in a few minutes with her wallet to pay for a $ 10 job, rather than publicly shaming that customer by asking she leave a $ 500 phone behind, seems like basic business sense and good logic… and basic human kindness, too. Still, the salon does good work and my friend is satisfied about that part of things…

I’m a huge fan of this place. A haircut for men is only $ 11 and quick fix up is only $ 5. I’ve gone there several times over the last year and even though I get a different girl each time I always end up happy. They’ll wash your hair for nothing extra too. You can make an appointment or just walk in. Can’t be beat.

In a lapse of judgment, I went to Harrisburg to get a hair hacking at Not-So-Great-Clips. The skilled barber skills at Greek Isles righted an embarrassing wrong, for less than what I paid at Great Clips. $ 11 for men on Tuesdays. Can’t beat it.

I’m going to school at Bucknell and desperately needed a cut! I decided to try this place out since it looks pretty and reminiscent of salons in California… the cut wasn’t awful but it wasn’t anything special either. A cut is about $ 35…which is cheap. The owner is really nice and friendly and I would say she cuts the best. The first time I went, someone else did it and the layers weren’t layers at all! So I went back in and had it fixed by the owner… I ended up tipping her for the fix… I’d recommend it if you really truly desperately need a TRIM… I wouldn’t go there looking for a new style though…
