Very rude waiter on Mothers Day, I know he was busy, but he could of been more professional and not take it out on customers.

This place sucked. Got the nachos covered in processed cheese. And a veggie chicken panini, not cooked at all, fires that came with it tasted like seafood… gross I want my fries to taste like fires not old seafood. Never coming back again. Don’t recommend

Social atmosphere in a good location — down by the wharf. The onion soup was tasty but too salty. I had the corned beef and cabbage, the meat was mediocre at best the cabbage and potatoes were completely bland. Wife had the Seafood Shepard’s Pie it was delicious.

What happened to Irish Eyes??? We’ve been visiting IE for years and have always been satisfied. It’s basically pub-grub but usually well executed and a good value. Went for lunch today and was extremely disappointed. Oysters Rockefeller not even close to good. Crab sandwich had a cheese type food product that way like a layer of latex on top of the crab. Inedible! Even the Maui Mahi tacos were tasteless aside from the wasabi. One redeeming factor was the service. Mike, our server, is as good at you get. Very attentive and efficiently. Hope this was just an bad day but I’m afraid there is a new kitchen staff that needs a kick in the butt.

Came here with a large group on a slow afternoon. It was 2 days after St. Patty’s Day, so they still had a special holiday menu. We ordered the crab dip. It was decent. We ordered Shepard’s Pie. Should be amazing at an Irish bar right? No! It was served in individual crocks with about 2 inches of grease at the bottom. After one bite, we sent it back. Ordered a corned beef panini. Again dripping with grease. My friend ordered Mac and cheese — 1 inch of grease. So gross. Another ordered a burger — asked for it medium rare – came out well. Very few people were satisfied with their meal. It it sad because the staff was attentive on on top of our group – which was awesome. The location is great too. The food — greasy and gross. So sad. You’ll need the luck of the Irish if you eat here!

We were told to come here to watch the Redskins game while we were in town. Pro– great service, our glasses were always full, and our food was what we expected. Con– the food is only ok. The hot wings weren’t spicy/hot the blue cheese tasted like sour cream with clue cheese crumbles. The burger was good and the fries were crunchy. Overall, it appears you come for the environment and not the food.

Decent beer selection, decent service. Was a busy night with many large groups but it seemed we were often ignored. Ordered chips and dips, seemed like just regular Tostitos. Dips were good though. Got fish and chips which was very very fried and beef and Guinness soup which was very good. Would go back at a less busy time and probably sit at the bar.

They have great service. The food was good but way overpriced so were the beverages. Milton irish eyes is much better.

Had dinner here last Wednesday. We were a party of three and Maggie was our server. She was a delight and very good at her job. We ordered the seafood nachos to share and they were ok but not much to them. The crab was good however, one of us ordered the Hawaiian chicken. I tried a bite and it was good, my friend and I shared the porterhouse. It was ordered medium rare and it was close but a little more done than requested, the mashed potatoes were good. The vegetable was corn on the cob. I’m not one to order two starches for an entrée especially for $ 30. Something green would have been a better option. It was decent just not great. My peach daiquiri was very good. I enjoyed dinner but wasn’t wowed, I did like it though and want to try pub type food next time.

Seafood shepherd’s pie was phenomenal! Finally finding Not Your Father’s Root Beer was an added bonus.

Our dinner at Irish Eyes was truly fascinating. My parents live in the area and have been here a couple of times before and had ok experiences, but this Saturday was the first time they took me there. We got there on a Saturday night at 6pm with a party of 5. They don’t take reservations, and its summer so everything is busy, so when the host told us there would be a wait(she said 30 – 40 minutes) we were fine with that, here’s what I noticed during the 1.5 hours we were sitting there waiting. People would walk in, the hostess would say«let me check to see if there is a table» every time someone came in, she would then go back and check, if nothing was open she would say there is an hour and a half– 2 hour wait and take their phone number saying she would call when their table was ready. A lot of people left, a lot of people gave her their phone number. If 10 minutes later a party of the same size walked in and there was a table available when she checked, she would seat them immediately. I never saw her pick up the phone once to call anyone, although she did claim she called one guy when he came back to ask about his table. I believe if we hadn’t insisted on sitting on the bench in the entrance area we would have never gotten a table or been called. When we were FINALLY seated, I noticed there were no less than 8 open tables in the inside seating area. I don’t know if there was a server shortage or something, but there remained many open tables while we were there. She only seated 1 group of people the entire time we were there. Something is definitely weird with the service there. Onto the food. The place is called Irish Eyes, and they try to go along with the Irish theme with their décor and whatnot, but aside from a few«Irish favorites» listed on the menu, theres nothing really Irish about this place, especially the food. But ok, that’s fine, lets talk about the Nachos, and how their version is just cold queso on store bought chips, with no melted cheese on top at all. That’s just weird, but we were starving at that point so we ate the cold gross mess. My brother ordered blackened Mahi Mahi and ended up with bbq salmon, but he ate it anyway(im sure the wait to get it replaced would have been long), my mother and I got the Caprese chicken, which said it came with rice and fresh vegetables, and the rice was undercooked and the«vegetables» were actually corn on the cob, which isn’t really what one expects when they are told fresh vegetables, and is kind of a pain to eat when you aren’t expecting it. The bill for the 5 of us was over $ 160(no alcohol was ordered), which isn’t really acceptable for such a disappointing dinner. So overall the food was really mediocre and disappointing, and the service was AWFUL. I’ll definitely veto this place if my parents want to go back, but I suspect they wont.

I’ve been eating at Irish Eyes often in the past several years and have been experiencing the food going downhill. When at the shore, one should have a reasonable expectation of good seafood. When I pay $ 17 for a mound of «lobster» salad and get a mushy dollop of faux lobster that was puréed as to be almost unidentifiable(but you can’t hide the stringy texture of the fake stuff or the wetness that’s a result of it being defrosted), with a few chunks of celery and red onion, I’m more than unhappy– I’m insulted. It didn’t even taste remotely like lobster. I feel I was ripped off. If you want Irish food, you’ll get a good meal for the price. Their raw oysters are delicious. But stay away from any mixed«seafood”– salads, «crab» cakes– you are not getting what you pay for. Service is always very good and the atmosphere pleasant. It’s right in the canal and has a great view. The bartenders are top notch. But they need a new kitchen manager!

Food was very good, Soft Crabs were solid. Service was OK. Wife’s Pina Colada was weak, server had an attitude when we sent back. She ultimately brought a new one which was OK.

What is not like here? From the amazing view and a very very large outdoor eating area to wonderful service personnel(ask for Kristen!), this is now my go-to place to bring guests from out of town!

I have been coming to Irish Eyes for over 20 years now and can’t complain about anything! The food is great and the atmosphere is awesome. This is my go to place in the summer and even year round not only for dinner but for nightlife. Very relaxing sitting on the canal. Not to mention Elisha the bartender is awesome! She makes the experience even better! I don’t believe there’s ever been a trip down to Lewes where I haven’t been to irish eyes!

Fabulous pub in Lewes Delaware! Best part was being able to dine with my pup in the indoor bar area. Second best the Portobello fries. They were fantastic and so flavorful! The bartender was really nice and took care of my dog too. Friendly atmosphere and fun place!
