I have been going to Pooja for about 7 years, ever since I started threading my eyebrows. It used to be a good place, but with the new employees it is going downhill. Sadly, I will no longer be a customer here. The prices are cheap, especially if using a coupon, but its not worth going to get jacked up eyebrows. Ever since Pooja [the owner] stopped threading the eyebrows herself, the people she has hired are less than skilled. The past three times my eyebrows were poorly threaded with hair left over and an uneven look. Today I went and the lady took off a huge chunk of my eyebrow, it is clear where the shape of my eyebrow starts and ends, but a huge patch of hair is missing towards the middle. My other friends have started to have poor experiences here as well, so other customers are disappointed as well.

I only go here for my eyebrows. They always do a great job. You’re in, you’re out, and it’s ridiculously inexpensive. Where else are you going to go for a $ 5 eyebrow threading?

Went to the Huntington one, they told me to come back another day to get my hair dyed even though my appointment was to get my hair dyed. Why would I make an appointment just to tell you what I want. My hair is dyed black already with my brown roots showing, I just wanted my hair dyed black… Way to waste my time. Speaking in another language about customers, how nice. If you are not going to offer hair services then don’t OK appointments for them. They acted as if they didn’t know why I was there, told my hair is ‘too long’, brushed out half my head(i have curly hair) then I had to walk out of there looking crazy with nothing done. They said they had no blue black, or any black dye for that matter. Tried to get me to dye my hair brown, my eyebrows are black, so no. But why try to sell the brunette colors to me when you aren’t going to dye my hair anyway? Confusing, not helpful, not apologetic, and not cool. I didn’t even get an apology for how my appointment was mishandled. I’ve gone to hair salons for years. Don’t tell me that I need to set up a «consultation» as an initial appointment when all I need is my hair dyed ONECOLOR. I have never been asked«did you bring your own dye?» either. And they asked me that too. Wtf? Really? No, I came to YOUR«hair salon» to use YOUR dye, DUH. Thanks for nothing. Don’t get an appointment for hair services, they clearly don’t know what they are doing, or do anything besides threading for that matter. Guess I’ll be going to my cousins baptism on Sunday now with half brown/half black hair.

Honestly the worst place to go ever even for a clean up; terrible service, terrible atmosphere and absolutely rude! I highly recommend not coming here even for a last minute clean up or a wax. An eyebrow clean up was possibly one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever had; she threaded each hair one by one and cut me just about all around my brows. These people are entirely too rude to be running a business, and have no etiquette whatsoever when it comes to satisfying a customers needs. They will talk about you in their language and not realize you speak the same language… Horrible people, service and salon.

«Service with a frown» especially if you are of South Asian descent. How ironic? I started going there because the salon heavily advertises in Pennysaver. I seemed like a good deal to use coupons to have my eyebrows done. But after the third time, I have stopped going there. Both the employees and the owner are extremely rude and unfriendly. Oh wait not only that if you don’t pay in cash, the owner charges sales tax as well. Wait until Better Business Bureau hears about that. I rather pay more money for a better service and professionalism. It is a shame because I would never recommend this place to any of my friends or aquaintainces.

One of the few threading salons on Long Island and I’m addicted! The staff is super attentive, the shop is very clean and most importantly my brows have never looked soooo good for soooo long. You also can’t beat the price at $ 5!

Been going here to have my eyebrows threaded for at least a year now. Love it. Not a fancy experience, but for the price($ 5) I don’t expect anything more than good, efficient results, and that’s what I get. Unless it’s an ultra-busy time I’m literally in and out in 3 – 4 minutes tops, when it’s busy it’s not much longer. As an added bonus it always smells awesome in there. Some of the women are more experienced than others, some hurt a bit more than others, but they’re all good and I haven’t been unhappy with the results yet. If you don’t give them specifics they’ll just do a clean-up, but if you want a thinner line or something else specific just tell them, I’ve never seen any issues when another customer asked for something. Never had anything else done there, so can’t comment on their other services. If you want your eyebrows done cheaper and less painful(to me anyway) than waxing and don’t mind good but bare-bones service, this is a great place to go. Oh, also bring cash, they don’t take cards for anything under $ 20 I think, might be $ 25.
