I really wanted to like this place. I saw them building it and couldn’t wait for them to open. What a disappointment! It’s a glorified Subway! Very expensive and should be a much better sub. There was 8 people behind the counter and it seems like everyone had a hand in my sandwich. Took way too long to make especially since I was the only customer. There are far better sandwiches out there. Mediocre at best.

Walked in and Walked out. Looked like a themed Quiznos. $ 11.99 for a footlong sub and another $ 2.50 for a drink/chips? Is there something wrong with that picture?

Just wanted to give a shout out to the new owner. Very pleasant and friendly. Out on the floor talking to customers. Food is always great but the people make it better. Koodos!!! Will be back soon.

My father and I went there for lunch today. They messed up my sub. I asked them to make me the correct one. I was told it would be a few minutes. After 15 minutes, I went back to the counter and was told it will be coming out momentarily. A few minutes later the sub was brought to our table. I asked to speak to the manager. An older short gentleman comes to the table and says there was a bunch of orders infront of my sub being redone. He was very arrogant. When I asked if he was the manager he stated he was the owner. Never once apologized. He told us that we have a choice. To come again or not. This is how this co called owner treats local firefighters.

Awesome dining experience! The staff is extremely friendly, the owners came out to greet people and to find out how their dinning experience was. They take pride in their restaurant, in customer service and in their food; which tastes awesome! I ordered the hook and ladder combo and it was fantastic! I drove about an hour to dine at Firehouse Subs and I must say the drive was worth it; I will definitely be going back!

I’ve had a few visits here and at first I was not wow’d by the subs found here as I felt they were average. But something made me return and I fell in love with this brand. The sandwiches compared to the other sub places, have more flavor, taste fresh and stand out as a meal for satisfaction. Coming in two sizes, regular and large, the large size is a fulfilling feast. The menu has a variety of choices, including making a custom one. Also, seasonal and monthly subs are big, bold and appealing. Personally, my two favorite choices are the Beef Brisket with cheddar and the Steak and Cheese, both with hot peppers. What I love about this place is their counter space decked with random hot sauces to kick that sandwich up 3 notches at least. The staff is friendly, smiling and thus far have given me a wonderful experience to return…

I just don’t understand the good reviews. I had the meatball sandwich and it tasted weird.

I had a second visit here today for a quick bite. I got the same Italian hero(usually if I like it the first time, I order the same thing the second time. So much for for«Variety is the spice of life :) » …) Anyway the hero was just as DELICIOUS ! Bread was perfectly toasted, meats and melted cheese, just the right amount of lettuce and tomato. THECHILIISEXCELLENT ! Perfect concoction of meat, beans, onions, peppers abd a whole tray of sauces to season with. Another positive experience.

I’ve passed by this establishment many times and tonight was the first night I sat down to try one of their subs. I had their meatball sub which was delicious(and I normally don’t like meatballs.) Everyone was very friendly and the décor was perfect. The fact that they are a charitable company makes me like them even more. Definitely worth stopping by!

Typical sandwich chain but advertised as firefighters-owned…good but not great. Great for before or after nearby movie cinemas movie dates. 10 subs with the typical light fare and chopped salads. Try it and give your own review’s. Mine is neutral.

Tables dirty and staff to busy talking and watching tv. Sandwich was ok nothing special. The only good things i can say is the make tour own coke machine and all the cool fire dept items and pictures they had of the town.

Firehouse Subs is always renowned for their delicious food, friendly service and charitable endeavors. But today this location showed an even greater commitment to customer and people appreciation. I received an offer, in honor of Labor Day, for a free medium sub with purchase of a sub chips and a drink; not a bad deal but still not inexpensive. When I decided to bail on any BBQ offers, I decided to take them up on the sub deal. Well, I got here and ordered and the nice young lady handed me a receipt and walked away. She came back noticing me still standing there and said Sir? I said I didn’t pay you and she informed me that all day they were honoring these coupons by just giving both sandwiches for free. Wow! Thanks for a delicious Labor Day.

What a let down :(the reviews may have made my expectations too high. Walked in and the place does have a cool firefighting atmosphere. I grabbed a menu to check out their sandwiches and decided on the firehouse hero: USDA choice roast beef, smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, provolone served«fully involved» with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and a dill pickle on the side. I opted out of the mayo and mustard. A large sandwich which is essentially a footlong came to $ 9.88 almost $ 10 for just a sandwich not a combo. Found a table to wait while my sandwich was being made, table was dirty and covered in lettuce. Took 15 mins for my sandwich to be made and there was no line. I live 5 mins away, when I got home and unwrapped my sandwich the bread was mushy on one side and the sandwich started to fall apart when I picked it up to eat. They forgot the onions. The sandwich was just bland, could not taste the cheese at all, and the only meat you could really taste was the ham. :(the meat almost all looked the same too. Such a shame I think I actually prefer subway from a price perspective and all the toppings they offer. Overall: I thought my sandwich was a little pricey and lacked flavor. You can’t beat a New York deli for a sandwich and that’s all I was thinking when I was eating my firehouse hero. :/

Not bad. Not as good as a local deli, but still good sandwiches. I like the turkey and cranberry sandwhich the most.

By far my favorite sub sandwich place, love all the choices and the staff is very knowledgable of the menu and they alternate the menu if need be to make you the perfect sandwich. Best part is you have over a dozen sauces to pick from.

Firehouse Subs has a variety of different sandwiches from hot and spicy to cool and refreshing. I opted for the turkey bacon ranch… Smoked turkey breast, Smithfield bacon, sharp cheddar cheese topped with peppercorn ranch, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Sounds good, and tasted good as well but IMO it was a little too skimpy. I finished the sandwich and was still pretty hungry. Overall I like Firehouse Subs way better than Subway, but not better than local delis in the area.

Here’s the subway comparison — firehouse subs taste much better and here’s why: — fresher ingredients — tastier bread — beautiful combination of cheeses — much more variety My veggie sandwich was very tasty, fresh and filling even for a medium size.

The only reason this isn’t getting four stars is because i thought the sandwich should have been bigger and stuffed more. Besides that I am a fan. I went with the smokehouse beef and cheddar sandwich which i thought was awesome. It had great flavors and easily kicked the crap out of any wanna be subway sandwich. My wife went with the turkey bacon ranch which she thought was really good too. The place has a cool setup with a firehouse theme. They have a hot sauce bar area which has around 20 sauces to try which i thought was really cool. I wan to really like this place but i’m turned off by the size of the hero.

Yum Yum Yummy Subs! This just opened and my friend and I decided to drop in. We heard there was a 10% volunteer ems/fire etc discount so we wanted to try it out. Low and behold we see one of our our ambulances from the department we volunteer for pulled up in the front; I guess we weren’t the only ones who knew about the discount(yay running into friends!) I ordered the Italian sub combo which came with my choice of chips(baked lays) and a medium soda(they have the cool zillion-option Coke machine so I always have fun with that). It took a while to get my sandwich so that was the only downside. Otherwise my sandwich was great! I’ll be back, with my ambulance crew most likely haha!
