This place is the BOMB! It may be 3,000 miles from home(yes i live in CA not PA) but well worth going out of your way to enjoy it. We had the homemade chocolate chip, mint and chip and salted caramel ice cream and they were all delicious. ENJOY;^)

i’ve been coming here since I was little and it never gets old. I love their soft serves and cookie ice cream sandwiches. I have nothing bad to say except sometimes I wish they’d have new flavors and such!

Favorite ice cream place around! I absolutely love Dairy Delite and have been coming here for 20+ years. They only accept cash, so make sure you have that before you go to get your ice cream fix. Great prices, great service and awesome product!

Absolutely the best soft serve anywhere in the Levittown area! This is my family’s favorite spot, reasonably priced and delicious! Try the pumpkingraham cracker soft serve in a flurry with spiced wafers and whipped cream! It is to die for!

Is this the best I have ever had, no. Is it better than most, yes. It is nothing but a place to get ice cream and water ice products, but that is why you go there. I agree with other reviewers, there is almost always a large crowed there, anytime you go, but unlike others I will not complain about it. There is a reason why they are always busy… ITISGOOD. A place that is always busy is a sign of the quality of the product. With the above being said, they do a good job with the crowds, when there are people waiting, most of the time they have all windows open with others in the background assisting to get the people out as fast as possible, that’s smart business! The prices do seem to be going up maybe a little faster than inflation, but it is still a good value. My only complaint about this business is… They close for a few months a year making all of us fans waiting for a fix when they reopen. And when they do reopen, you better expect very very large lines the first few days. It is almost like a beacon lights up to say«We are Open again» and magically everyone is automatically attracted back to it for that long awaited ice cream fix. Keep up the good work.

Back in the 90’s this was the one ice cream stand in the Levittown area to go to. Back then then they were far and away the cheapest stand around, and at the time their draconian cash only rule wasn’t so much of an issue. Not a whole lot has changed about this place since then, except that their prices have gone up a bit with inflation, and you still can’t pay with a card. Their confections are good, not great, but good. Their ice cream runs standard, with their hard dip being somewhat forgettable(there aren’t a ton of flavors to choose from). Typically I get water ice here, though I must say the water ice is closer to a harder Italian ice than the consistency typically found in the Philadelphia area. Recently I came back only to be disappointed that their list of water ice flavors has dwindled considerably as well. The biggest issue is that this place is always, and I mean ALWAYS, crowded. Any time of day in the summer time there is a huge line you have to wait in, and on weekend nights? Forget about it. Since this was the ice cream stand I frequented the most as a child, I still get nostalgic and manage to make my way back here. However, all in all this place is average, and less crowds can be found elsewhere.

THEBEST ice cream and water ice ever. A staple in Levittown for more than 60 years, if you want great treats, with an old-timey feel, Dairy Delite is the place to go. They have SO many options, and are always adding new things! Their water ice is also amazing. I never go to Rita’s when I can have Dairly Delite instead!

Worked here all through high school! Great homemade hard ice cream. Levittown staple. Gets crazy busy on summer nights, but the line moves fast. Does not take cards, only cash! Nice portions.

Whenever I’m travelling around and I see a place like Dairy Delite, 9 out of 10 times I will stop in and get something. What can I say; I love a beat up and grizzled local ice cream spot. Reminds me of days gone by. Quality of my soft serve cone was great, and they were generous with the sprinkles too! Stop in for some ice cream and be happy there are still authentic family run places like this.

The soft serve at Dairy Delight is the heat. Stopped by on an unusually warm fall evening with the family and enjoyed a couple of soft serve twists, rainbow sprinkles and one chocolate dipped cone. The damage came out to under $ 10 for 5 people which can’t be beat for such a tasty product. My experience as Dairy Delight was quite nostalgic. As we pulled up I couldn’t help but to be taken back to times as a kid that my family and I made the drive across town to the local ‘tasty freeze’ for a soft serve twist. Everything about this place screams classic ice creamery; the smell, faded pictures, handwritten signs, and cash only, each giving off a strong sense of nostalgia. There are a few tables outside to sit. The staff was super friendly and the ice cream was phenomenal. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a good soft serve twist. I’ll certainly be back by Dairy Delight every time I’m in the area. I highly recommend this local novelty to others.

If you want to go «Back to the Future», then you must stop in to Dairy Delite on Woodbourne Road in Levittown. It is one of those time warp places where if you step up to the window and order one of their great soft sweet thick ice cream flavors in a cone or cup, or a extra thick shake, you can actually feel the strands of time pulling you into a vortex that lands you somewhere around 1957. Look in the mirror and you would swear the lines on your face are lighter, and the sparkle in your eyes brighter. Return often enough and you realize that the real secret here is not just the old original recipe, but that it sits atop the Fountain of Youth, and mixes its ageless serum into every drop that flows from its ancient spouts. Those beauties taking your order may look 18, but check their birth certificates, and you see they are really 78. Powerful elixir that Vanilla Swirl! While I wish they didn’t use Styrofoam cups, there is no debate that the soft serve here is about as good as it gets. The prices are ridiculous. The former«Cash Only» requirement not oppressive simply because credit cards weren’t as prevalent 60 years ago. If only the Dollar was still worth what is was Back in the Day.

I have been eating Ice Cream at Dairy Delite in Levittown Pa for years. I love the vanilla soft serve ice cream. I always get a medium cone. Their hard ice cream is good too. The prices a are resalable. The lines can get long but the ice cream is worth waiting for. The workers are always nice to you. All in all its a nice place to go on a hot day to coll off.

How can you grow up in Levittown and not love dairy delight?! My favorite cone is vanilla and orange sherbet with rainbow jimmies on it — I never order it anywhere else but it’s brings back so many childhood memories to get it here! They’re the only ones who do it right for me, everyone else’s tastes just a bit off. Their pumpkin ice cream is to die for I have friends that are addicted to it. I’d suggest coming early in the evening because on hot summer nights they are mobbed!

This place has been here forever, and I always come here if I’m in the area for dessert. A major plus to Dairy Delite is that have actual real ice cream, which is a rarity in today’s yogurt and gelato dominated market. It’s cash only here, something that I just can’t understand in the 21st century, but Dairy Delite is really a store out of a different century, which in my opinion is a good thing. My favorite thing here is the milk shakes, especially the peanut butter milkshake. They have real ice cream too and soft serve. The price here is pretty cheap compared to what you’d pay at a more chain yogurt or gelato place. Sometimes at night this place is packed, as in its not a line you wait in, but a mob. I don’t go out of my way to get dessert at Dairy Delite, but if I am in the area, I always head there for a sweet treat.

Dairy Delite has been around forever. In fact, some of my very first memories are of my grandparents taking me for ice cream at Dairy Delite. They really have everything – soft serve, milkshakes, malts, sundaes, water ice, frozen bananas… name an ice cream dessert and they got it. I’m pretty sure they’d be willing to whip up any crazy concoction you had in mind too. My standard is the orange sherbet and vanilla twist. They have sometimes have new twists like raspberry sherbet and vanilla and lime sherbet and vanilla too! Whoa. And yes, the pumpkin ice cream they serve in the fall is great too. I’m sad I don’t live close enough anymore to just pop by on a Sunday night in the summer, but I do try go when I can. Lines can be long, especially after little league games let out across the street, but it’s worth it.

I’m pretty sure their vanilla soft serve has crack in it. This Dairy Delight(and its sister location on Route 13) are local treasures. Check out their Pumpkin Ice cream at the end of the season and their variety of sherberts they serve throughout the year(vanilla & lime twist is as refreshing as it gets.) Cash only — but they’ve managed to keep their costs down over the years. Heading here at night on the weekends can mean waiting in line for a long time or having a hard time parking — but its worth it. Just watch pulling in and out onto Woodbourne. That road is brutal!
