Dairy Delite

Reminds us of the ice cream stand our parents took us to 50 years ago. Only better. We’re especially fond of the small cone salted caramel praline hard ice cream. It’s not fancy, but we like everything about this place except the calories.

My family of 4 each got something different and we all loved it. We were amazed at the cheap price for the quality product. I can see why they won awards for best ice cream for 3 years in a row.
It is a cash only business, but they do have an ATM in front of the building. Not sure of the surcharge.
The lime sherbet was great and was even better when twisted with vanilla. My daughter loved the chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich that she had. Comes with choice of chocolate or vanilla.

As I said in my review of Dairy D’s sister location on Woodbourne Road — I’m pretty sure their vanilla soft serve has crack in it.

You look for this place to be lit up like a 1000 watt bulb come springtime along Route 13 and immediately want ice cream, even if it’s barely 50 degrees outside.
This year they’re staying open later than I’ve ever seen (hooray… global… climate… change? err… ice cream!!!) Usually they close around Thanksgiving with a last fat-​kid-​hurrah of too much Pumpkin Ice cream. But they’re still open and plan to stay open til December 16^th. Put on some mittens and go!
Bring cash only — but you won’t need much to get a lot.
Prepare to wait in line on a hot summer night — but you’ll get served pretty quickly and the parking situation is much less of a hassle than on Woodbourne Road. You can definitely pull out of the lot without risk of life or limb here.
Vanilla soft serve with an (insert fruit twist flavor here) is the best way to cool down in this neck of the woods come August! (Or April, when they reopen after winter… whenever really works for you…)

I started going to Dairy Delite because my boyfriend loves it. After a few trips I noticed that not all of their sundaes are create equal. My boyfriend always orders a hot fudge sundae with crushed cherries and whipped cream and I always order a sundae with peanut butter sauce and chocolate sprinkles.
His sundae is ALWAYS packed with ice cream and has so much hot fudge and crushed cherries that its over-​flowing. Mine… not so much. Hardly any peanut butter or sprinkles and they barely top it with whipped cream, not to mention way less ice cream than my boyfriend’s sundae yet, we pay the same price. I only have a cheat twice a month and I really look forward to it. It’s so disappointing every time I go.
Tonight I ordered his sundae and he ordered mine and lo and behold I was right. My sundae was packed tight with ice cream (I watched the girl pound the cup on the counter to get out the air) had tons of peanut butter sauce and tons of sprinkles, his had a fair amount of hot fudge but almost no crushed cherries or whipped cream and a lot of air pockets in the ice cream.
I don’t know if it’s a male/​female thing where the girls that work there give more to the male customers and less to the female customers. I’m not sure why I get jipped by them all the time but, I do and I don’t want to keep going there to figure it out. It’s been 2 years, I know I’m not imagining it, its not a one time thing and I’m just done giving them my money.
I’ve been to the new ice cream place on Rt 13, Bristol Blitz and really liked it. My sundae was so big I couldn’t finish it. I think that’s where I’ll take my business from now on. I don’t want to be disappointed or ripped off anymore.

I love dairy delite! They have excellent ice cream and their prices are really reasonable. They have a lot of different options, including soft serve, hard ice cream, milkshakes, etc, but best of all, they have soft serve yogurt! They only have vanilla, but I LOVE that it’s nonfat and sugar free. They only take cash, though, but they have late hours all summer long.

I am writing this for my dad. I am almost ten years old and dairy delite is best ice cream place I’ve ever been to. I love the chocolates chunk ice cream in a cup. Every time I go to dairy delite I get so excited all the time. I love dairy delite.
