King’s Pretzels & Ice Cream

The best pretzels you’ll ever have! Hot and buttery with just the right amount of salt. They have a big selection of pretzel logs to choose from too. Hot dog, cheesesteak, pizza, etc. Every time I visit I get one to eat then and another to take home for later. Love these pretzels!

I hate to say it Philadelphia, but these buttery hot fresh, hand rolled pretzels are the best around, brushed with butter after coming straight out of the oven and then slathered in mustard or dipped into a hot cheese sauce you’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven!
The pretzels are made right before your eyes and the dough is a little bit sweet and combined with the salt and the buttery finish your mouth screams wow! They also have pretzel logs which are made to order and filled with a variety of meats, cheese or eggs, they even have a cheesesteak filled pretzel. Now this may sound bizarre to you, but I assure you that the soft pretzel wrapping itself around delicious fillings is the ultimate sandwich! They even have hot dogs and sausages inside of a pretzel which reminded me of Barbie’s Pretzels in Newton
oh these Amish folks do know what they are doing!
We went to the market as a group of seven and like most large open markets we ended up splitting up and this is a huge stand with two sides and while I am enjoying my egg, ham and cheese stuffed pretzel I walk around to find my son in law and grandson enjoying hand dipped homemade ice cream from the same place. Okay I had already had a stuffed pretzel log and a kielbasi sandwich from another purveyor and I was not about to pass up that creamy cold ice cream so I chose the black cherry ice cream AND the black raspberry sherbet!
They were both so very good and loaded with fruit and flavor, but I must admit that my son in law’s dark chocolate ice cream looked beyond flavorful and I will be sure to have this on my next visit, maybe with a scoop of good old fashioned vanilla as he thought it was the best chocolate ice cream he had ever had. They also make sundaes, banana splits, root beer floats and milkshakes.
Swimsuit season is almost behind us and this is a great place to add a little padding for the upcoming cold weather, I can’t think of a better way to add a pound.
