This is the place to go for prepared food and meat. Theirs is family owned and they really care. I went in for some beef filets and didn’t love what I I saw and told the gentleman behind the counter. He said«I’ll cut some for you». He brought out several and allowed me to pick the meat and how thick I wanted them cut. So he cut them in front of me to be sure I was happy. Wow, now that is customer service! They has lots of chicken, ground meat, marinated meats and more. I was told what days the meats come in and I could order ahead. There is another glass counter filled with prepared food of many kinds. I got several. Crab cakes, Cole slaw, a meat loaf, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, macaroni salad, ham salad, and fresh fruit salad. I also got some smoked bones for my dog(which they also let you select) and some lasagna to heat up for another day I think this is a gem and I’d shop here all the time if I lived here

So I have only been here once, but dang… how have i lived within fifteen miles all of my life and missed this. I bought $ 60 of goods for a big vacation with friends. Beef, chicken, salads, you name it. Well now vacation is over, but i am adjusting my shopping patterns to make this place a regular stop.

This place is a part of my childhood. Seriously. There are stories that date back to my 7th birthday regarding the chicken pot pies that come out of this amazing little market. It’s mostly prepared foods, which as an adult who enjoys cooking I typically steer clear of, but it’s not like most places because they make everything in house. And, truthfully, I can’t replicate these items. Just about everything I’ve had here is good, but the staples include: the marinated flank steak the chicken pot pies the scrapple I still have my mom buy the pot pies and the scrapple in bulk and transport them to me when she comes to visit. I’ve flown home with 6 of their chicken pot pies in my carry-on. Yes, I have. And as a Pennsylvania native, I can tell you that this is the best scrapple I’ve ever tasted.

Their Marinated Flank steak is what gives this place the 5 stars. If you ever get the chance go for it. The fact that they can get you pretty much any type/cut of meat you are looking for is also a huge bonus, not many places around that like to help the customer get something they are looking for anymore.

great place to pick up lunch and dinner in one shot. The sandwiches and salads are excellent, the cuts of meat are beautiful and fresh.

While I’ve never had their lunch meat… I’m a huge fan of their salad section… I usually go there every few weeks when I’m craving some good old Pennsylvania Dutch food. Their soups rotate every few weeks… I’m a huge fan of their Hamburger Shell soup and their Ham and Bean soup. They also have fresh PA Dutch Pot Pie(the kind with thick noodles, not the crust), mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, fruit salads, pasta salads… and it’s all just… good. Very good. They make sandwiches there, and also have a meat department. Oh…and dessert. Simple bread puddings, peach cobbler, tapioca… Well, that’s about it… I love this place. It’s small. It’s simple. And everything is homemade. I’ve no complaints… well, their prices are a little more expensive than you’d find at your local grocery store… but it’s worth it.
