HORRIBLE: During my noon check-in I encountered a horrid manager who was rude and belligerent towards myself and another guest. I decided to cancel my reservation and go elsewhere. But when I asked for my credit card back, he ran a blank credit card slip and demanded me to sign it. When I refused and left, I received a text alert from VISA that a $ 75 charge was now pending by the D-Lux Budget inn. I called VISA to file a merchant fraud alert and notified police. Responding officers took a police report and mentioned this property has a long history of incidents involving police. I never saw a room, but certainly wouldn’t stay at this«Bates Motel.» Or at-least until this manager is either let go or has a major attitude adjustment. It’s a shame because it’s kind of a cute little 50’s motel property.

I am in lemont for work, and I needed to stay the night. Seeing as how this was the closest inn to my work I decided to give it a shot. A one bed room is only $ 55 per night, and it was worth every penny. They have recently done renovations and it definitely shows. I was skeptical when I saw that the only Unilocal review was one star, but the moment I entered my room all of my worries were laid to rest. The rooms are very clean and neat. My room included a mini fridge, microwave, heat/AC unit that works very well, a flat screen tv with dish network and plenty of light. This will definitely be my go-to motel any time I’m in lemont. Two thumbs up!

I can only speak of my phone experience and not of a stay. I called to check availability for a possible stay in a few weeks. A woman answered the phone and I began to ask if they had any rooms available and I was immediately cut off before I could even say for when. She kept repeating there was«Nothing, we have nothing.» Anytime I tried to clarify, she just kept repeating it and said«Goodbye» and hung up. First impressions say a lot. I can tell I dodged a bullet here. Very unprofessional.
