Fantastic food. Loved the bbq but I positively swooned over the fried chicken. For me it was the best I have ever had and probably will ever have. The restaurant is spacious and very clean. Service was exceptional too. Wish I could give it more stars.

havent been here in a while. sooooooo good. and apparently consistant. i would eat here all the time if i were in leland more often. better than any bbq place i wilmington. soooo damn good. just sooo damn good.
everything is actual real food. not heated up preade stuff.
also, the people who gave this place low ratings clearly dont like food. you are morons. clearly you dont know what youre talking about when 28 out of 30 people disagree with you. kys. and to the guy who thinks caseys is good. you are gross. and caseys made me violently ill 2 times in a row. its dirty and smells terrible.

The best BBQ I ever had. The BBQ chicken had the BBQ flavor throughout the meat. Not Jair the skin. Pork is cooked for over 12 hours and was also amazing as are all the side dishes. A real find!

First time here & I can’t believe this place wasn’t pack out the door! Super nice owner that came by to refill drinks or throw away your trash if you were done eating.
Loved the coleslaw, reminds me of my aunts back home. The hash with rice & baked beans was really good. I liked how they had a verity of different BBQ sauces to choose from. Hush puppies, Mac & cheese, green beans, corn, pulled pork, banana pudding… All so so delicious!!!
Definitely going back! If you leave hungry you didn’t stack your plates right;)

As good as it gets!
Every time I tried something it became my new favorite. Bottom Line is it’s all masterfully prepared and flavorful. I tried every meat and it was «Epic». The price is very reasonable and the staff was excellent in every respect. I’ll always make it a point to stop here when I’m in town.
Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this BBQ.

BBQ is really good … Other items are good but nothing to brag about. The owner was there and was extremely nice! Gave a sample of his favorite dish before ordering. The lunch buffet is a little pricey @ $ 12.00. Couldn’t eat there everyday but once in a while is ok. The staff were very nice as well.

This place is tucked away right as you leave Wilmington. It’s worth leaving Wilmington to visit! The best fried chicken, BBQ, hash, and my husband said the banana pudding reminded him of grandma’s! Haven’t tried the ribs but I hear the only problem is they go to quickly!!! Yes this cute little place is just that good!

Fantastic food with the best fried chicken ever. Wonderful customer service beginning with owner David talking about the origin of a few unique buffet items. Now ranks as one of our top dining spots in the Wilmington area!

My only complaint is that we live 4 hours away! Do yourself a favor and visit Duke’s. Everything was delicious and the service was warm and attentive. We tried the two plate buffet, so much food for $ 10. Grab a bag of the homemade pork rinds for the road trip home!

This was the most amazing pulled pork. This is the place to go for some real good BBQ. The mac & cheese was just the way we like it, thick and cheesy. Great food at a great value.

Very satisfied with entire meal. Had the Old South Plate — one meat, two side, pickles and hush puppies. Reasonable pricing and reasonable sized plate.
Tried the pulled pork and it was fantastic. It does not come mixed with any sauce — so you can experience the meat taste on its own. There are multiple sauces you can add at your discretion.
The pork hash was surprisingly good. This is supposedly unique to this particular restaurant.
The seating is on long wooden tables. Wasn’t particularly busy at lunch the day I ate.
The owner and his wife were there that day and helped serve the food and explained quite a bit about the BBQ which was appreciated.
Definitely would go again!

Duke’s is my favorite barbecue in the area. The pulled pork is moist, tender, smokey and delicious. The baked beans and slaw are excellent. The fried chicken is very good as is the banana pudding. Recommend this place highly.

Much better food than what you get at most fast food places. A good place to stop when driving through Wilmington.
The sides are all very good, including broccoli salad.
Ribs had plenty of flavor and we’re not dry.

I don’t understand the rave reviews of this place. Maybe I just went at a bad time of the day? I was greeted by rude workers and the men behind the counter gave me an incredibly ‘off’ vibe. ‘Hey lady what are you looking for?’ Not exactly how I expect a greeting. The food on the line was dry and old looking. Like it had been sitting under the lamps all day. I ended up just leaving and not eating. Yuck.

I’m certainly not a BBQ expert but I didn’t see or taste anything special here. Only a few sauce selection and to me that’s what makes BBQ. Don’t get me wrong, it was okay but if you searching for the perfect BBQ in the area, keep looking.

Stopped in on the way home from Emerald Isle, NC for lunch on a Sunday at 11:30am.
It was GREAT. Variety of sauces to choose from — all made on site — love that. Slaw is really good. The hash is great — especially if you add some of the baked beans to it.
Hush puppies are perfectly done… a tad bit of sweetness made them super yummy.
If you want to get a boat of pulled pork bbq, add slaw and sauce… perfection ! and a super cheap $ 4.50 option.
The service was attentive and friendly.
This will be a new stop on our way to the beach !
