Big Creek BBQ

One word. AMAZING! This place honestly sets a new bar for BBQ. I don’t live local so I’m concerned that I may never eat BBQ this good without driving an hour to get here. We were driving by while in the area headed to hawk mountain for a day hike. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed this cool looking food truck that was open and noticed their smoker. I just knew I had to turn around and try it. After reviewing all of the items on the menu I decided to try the flying pig special. This is a sandwich that has pulled pork and pulled chicken. Upon first bite I realized that this place was legit. The sandwich literally melted in my mouth. The half rack of ribs we got, the meat just fell off the bone. The beans were top notch and the cole slaw… well simply the best cole slaw I’ve had, this isn’t your average slaw. This is fresh veggies that aren’t soaked for long periods of time. This is the crunchy slaw that is packed with flavor. I could go on and on… The reality is, if you like BBQ or want some amazing meal, you need to grab a bite to eat here.

Most amazing BBQ sauce I have ever had and I am from Texas! ! Great staff very friendly! ! When I finished my ribs I almost went back to get another order. Definitely swing by and try.

Best food in town! Loaded potato and ribs are to die for. you must try this! The smokey goodness will have you coming back for more. prices are reasonable and service is great.

Big Creek BBQ is where it’s at. I’m not even particularly a fan of the foodtruck fad; I usually prefer a sit-​down dining experience. But when I go here, I don’t even think «gee I wish I were in a restaurant right now». Best BBQ I’ve probably ever had in this area. Pulled pork, beef brisket, and ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ sandwiches are excellent. And he always has 3 choices of sauce. Sides are solid. Not as familiar with the ribs/​chicken options, but the times I’ve had them, they were good as well. Everything you eat here is done the right way; you can tell that it was hand-​smoked/​hand-​made – the way food should be done. This is probably the best/​most exciting lunch/​quick food option in the Carbon County area. Big Creek is a Lehighton gem.
