I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Vineyards and Winery at Lost Creek. The service at the tasting room is always friendly and attentive. When we come in they not only remember our names but also our kids and family. Suzanne especially makes us feel like family each time. To add to our regular service we had our wedding at the harvest house and it truly was the perfect day! Everything was taken care of, the grounds and house were beautiful, and they pulled a miracle of 70 degree weather in December. There is not a moment I would change from the wedding or any trip to this winery. Lost Creek has made me a lifetime member and I will always keep their wine on hand. Thank Lost Creek staff.

Their 2012 reserve Chardonnay is very good. Labeled in the Burgundy style, I would say it does taste similar to a Chablis. Has less influence of oak and good mineral notes on the back end. In other words this isn’t like a stick of butter oaky Chard. On the red side the 2013 Provenance was very tasty. This is a Bordeaux blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot aged in French oak for 27 months. Rachel took care of us in the tasting room and did a great job. They serve food from the Wine Kitchen, which is another plus.

Nice tasting room — dark and cozy. Nice picnic grounds too. Club room if wanted. Informed staff. Tried the club Chardonnay and enjoyed it. Reds less interesting. Friendly folks and a good setup.

To echo other reviews, food is still overpriced, pours are unmeasured, and the tastings to price ratio is too much in the vintner’s favor… and environment is not exactly welcoming. If these wines were something to write home about, I wouldn’t mind paying but sadly I can’t recall a single glass. I do recall they left my palette stinging, due to the wines being overly acidic. The property is beautiful, enjoyed the fire pit outside. Disliked having to stand at the bar during the longest wine tasting ever. Not because there were 50 wines to go through, but because the server took forever to get to us. There are other wineries who offer barstools/chairs, and small food pairings for the same price. This place had several regulars though, good for them. Perhaps don’t alienate the newcomers to solely favor the long time patron who couldn’t decide how many white wines to take home. I probably would have taken one home if I wasn’t in a hurry to finish the tasting so I could leave the unwelcoming atmosphere.

Hubby and I came for a tasting this past weekend since we saw they served food from the wine kitchen and it was down the road from the other winery we came from. We were immediately greeted upon entering and were ushered to a tasting bar. Pours were generous and we liked most of the offerings so much so that we ordered a bottle of the Vidal blanc with lunch and a bottle each of the Genesis and provenance to take home. Will be back again.

Meh. The tastings were overpriced for the number of wines. The pours were unmeasured and small. The bottles of wines were also overpriced. We didn’t try the food so that might be the only saving grace. This was our least favorite vineyard in the area. We really enjoyed Hidden Brook and Fabbioli Cellars.

The driveway is long, but the hidden gem of a winery at the end of it makes the long, dusty, gravel road worth the drive! Upon driving up, the outside seating areas are the first thing we saw and they looked nice… offering nice views of their gardens/landscaping and nicely manicured areas where the seating was located. The tasting room was beautifully decorated. Tasting bar was nicely laid out and well-staffed. They have a cozy seating area with a fireplace. They offer a very nice tasting menu with a sufficient variety of wines to taste! They also offer a very nice menu of food to enjoy while sitting and sipping. The staff was very friendly and personable and was attentive as well. We look forward to going back sometime!

Standard VA winery = very pretty but wine is just OK and everything is over-priced. They price their wine like it’s a restaurant, but there’s no table service. So you spend $ 25(low end blends) to $ 40(their signature reds) on wine that is just OK. Food is ridic priced — $ 9 soup, $ 15 panini… you get the picture. As with most VA wineries, if you pay with plastic, they auto-generate a tip. So I always pay cash at VA wineries because opening a bottle of wine and handing it to me with 2 glasses does not warrant a 20% tip.

My very favorite winery in NOVA(and there’s many to choose from!). Todd and Amy are the best, great owners. The wine is stellar, and the location beautiful. We will come here for years and years.

Our group of three had a very pleasant experience at Lost Creek today. After enjoying the long drive down the driveway past fields of mature vines, we parked at Lost Creek and were warmly greeted by their hostess, who guided us to the tasting bar. A basic tasting was $ 8. Our tasting server was very knowledgeable about the estate and wines. They seemed to have a focus on dry whites and the Vidal Blanc varietal, though all of the wines we tasted were quite good. Many were made from estate-grown grapes. The property and building were truly beautiful. They have a wonderful open lawn with picnic tables where you are allowed to bring your own food. Other seating areas are reserved for those who order food from the establishment, which serves a light lunch menu of sandwiches, salads, and cheese plates. We each enjoyed an Italian panini for $ 15 each on the shaded patio with bubbling fountain just outside the tasting room. Though it seemed pricy when ordering the sandwich is HUGE and delicious, served with chips. Overall a great experience with a great atmosphere and top-notch staff. We will certainly be back to buy a bottle to enjoy with a picnic lunch on the lawn!

Great wine! We had 5 different bottles of wine but Tranquility and Serenity wine were by far my favorite! This winery is out of the way compared to others. Loved the outdoor scene. The only thing is that it is not as pet friendly as the host told us that we could not have our pet even in the outdoor patio that they had. We had to sit on the picnic tables on the lawn Great selection of bread and cheese to compliment the wine!

Very friendly staff. The hostess, Sue was very welcoming, and our server, Sarah, was quite helpful. The setting is lovely, and very calming. I will definitely be back. Dogs are allowed on the lawn, which has ample seating, and nice tables with umbrellas. I tried the«Provenance» and my girlfriend had the Vidal Blanc. Both were quite good.

Great, spacious tasting room. Upon arrival, had to wait for a hostess to ask if we wanted to do tastings instead of just walking right in ourselves. I wanted to give this place 3 ½ stars but because of the hostess situation, which was unnecessary, I gave it three stars. $ 12 for 7 wines, not a bad price. There last red, the Provenance I believe, was absolutely stunning. The last sip sealed the deal for me and I bought two bottles. Military discount for the whole purchase was nice as well.

Lost Creek is a great place with good wine and a great view. Lost Creek itself appears to be one of the smaller wineries I’ve ever been to — both in terms of the sheer outdoor space and in terms of the tasting room — but that’s not a hugely bad thing. Small can be cute — and as one might expect, prices are a bit cheaper and service is a bit better for it. The wines here are solid, but perhaps not my favorite. Their 2014 Vidal Blanc was probably my favorite of their own bottles, having a really bubbly and crisp taste that I genuinely enjoyed a lot of. Their other Chardonnay and Rose offerings were good, albeit not quite as good. Their reds were incredibly flavorful and smooth, something I appreciated as a guy who isn’t a fan of many reds. Still, the winner wasn’t from their own winery — the Thibaut-Janisson Blanc de Chardonnay was simply superb.

I liked the Serenity wine as it was their sweetest one. I did the tasting and then purchased one glass of wine and was surprised that the ipad they gave me asked for a tip. Outside they had a live musician which was nice. The grounds are pretty but there were a ton of gnats.

A wonderful boutique winery, pleasant space and good wine. We were here a few years back … Let’s just say the new owners have really improved the operation. The staff are warm, friendly, and attentive. The feel is very comfortable and welcoming. Recommend you visit before it gets too trendy — and it will.

This was a birthday gift for the better half. A great location and decadent building was enhanced by the overwhelming positive attitudes and attentiveness of the staff. Evan did a great job being the ultimate concierge and keeping in touch with me(as this ended up being a private event). Thanks should most certainly go to Andy, our host and guide. He explained everything in detail and managed to cram hours worth of wine and touring into an hour. He was gracious and kind. I’m not a wine drinker at all, but I enjoyed their Cab Franc and my friends and wife loved the other wines as well. We will be making a return visit!!!

I am a big fan of this winery. It has a country house setting with the cobblestones and fire place. I really loved the ambiance and the staff who were very knowledgeable and helpful. For $ 12 you get to try 7 wines with heavy pours. Snacks are a la cart and while pricey are very tasty. I recommend the spicy salami and the Amish cheese. I really enjoyed all the wines and the reds they produce are top notch. You can’t buy their wines in stores and they do cost more then other local wines but be sure to come here and taste what they are making!

I truly am a fan of Lost Creek! We’ve been to Lost Creek THREE times in the past two months :-D Their tasting room is nice and our hosts have been super nice and knowledgeable about their vineyard. We’ve purchased several bottles of white, rose, and red vino. Their rose is a favorite of ours! I’ve even become one of their club members. Free glass of wine on every visit, 10% off of purchases and all you have to do is buy 2 bottles of their wine a month. not bad! They have some prepackaged foods which were okay if you’ve had a bit too much to drink and need a quick bite. They also have some board and trivia games to play. We usually go on Sunday afternoons and they have a guy playing the guitar outside on the patio. His music is really mellow and sets the mood.

If I was planning a day trip to Leesburg, Lost Creek Vineyard would definitely on my list of things to do along with: a stop of the outlets, Tarara Winery, and antique shopping in Luckett’s. All of these are a few miles from each other and on pretty much the same road so it’s the perfect way to spend a nice, sunny afternoon. The tasting room was rather small but their outdoor space is massive with tons of room to lay out and picnic. For those looking for some peace and solace, this is your winery! They even grow their own grapes on site which(surpringly) is sometimes a rare sight in Virginia wine country! The wines we tried were mostly ok with my favorites being the Cabernet Franc and the Chardonnay Reserve. All-in-all I would recommend this place if you are in the area.
