Great natural foods store in Leesburg. After my epic falling out with my milk delivery service I turned to For Goodness Sake since they carry Trickling Springs Creamery products (one of the few truly organic dairies in existence). They get a delivery every week and I grab my milk there, usually finding something else to pick up too. Great little store no matter what you are looking for, very helpful and friendly staff too. If they don’t have it they will do their best to get it for you. They have a wide variety of products, everything from a small selection of local produce and meat, pet and baby products, vitamins, cleaning products, aromatherapy, gluten-​free and beverages.

This place is pretty great. Whenever I go here, they have something to nibble on and try out. The staff is very knowledgable about the products and very patient with all my stupid questions. I typically go there for fermented foods and chocolate, but I’ve bought all different kinds of fresh produce, homeopathic remodies, extracts, packaged foods etc. from here.
Pop in and ask some questions! They’re very cool people.

Fantastic! Stopped in to buy some wheat germ and found so many other things! I’ve lived in Leesburg pretty much my entire life but had only been to this store a couple times at the old location. My family and I are now looking to eat healthier and re-​finding this shop is such a blessing! Between here and the farmer’s market, I have no need to go back to the «grocery store»!

In such a small place there is such a wide assortment of all kinds of things. The staff is very nice and helpful. If you need something they can even put a special order for you. I have only nice things to write about them. Honest and useful business!

LOVE this place!
I was looking for Kombucha and pretty much spent a half hour looking at everything else. Checked out all the gluten free items as well. I could easily take a day in this place!
Everyone was very nice, including customers!
Will stop again next weekend!
Prices were as expected. When you want something special or healthy or natural. it may cost a little more but it’s WORTH it!

I have only been to this place twice, but I love it. The people that work there are extremely nice and very knowledgeable if you have any questions about supplements. They also have a very good selection of beauty products that don’t contain any harmful chemicals in them, I especially like the Deep Steep line they carry.
I best thing about this place is that you custom order all of your grocery needs from local farmers in the area. Just ask any of the helpful staff about it and they will get your order going.
They will also order almost any sort of product that you do not see in the store. They make their orders on Monday so if you go in there and do not see a product you desire just go to the front and ask them.

I go out of my way to go to this place. I buy all my vitamins, supplements and dog supplements here (the dog section has expanded tremendously recently). Best variety and finds that you will not get at whole foods, gnc, vitamin shoppe, etc. Staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. This is definitely my go to vitamin store. 100% reccomend this place!!! The dog food is top of the line but a bit pricey.

Are you looking for organic staples that you can’t find at Whole Foods, Wegmans or Trader Joes? Then come to FOR GOODNESS SAKE. I found Mirin I was looking for… and whole milk from Trickling Spring Creamery in Chambersburg, MD. It’s so awesome! FOR GOODNESS SAKE is under the Tuscarora Mill restaurant. There is a small «mall» here off Loudoun Street in downtown Leesburg and that’s where the shop is. There are a lot of organic/​earthy crunchy beauty products also. I was in quick… but I will be spending more time here as time goes by and as I go more organic. So stay tuned!
