A Charming Affair

This is my first ever Unilocal review, but I had to write something because Erin is THE BEST wedding planner and I have nothing but positive things to say about her. Working with Erin and A Charming Affair to plan our wedding was an unbelievable experience. Erin was perfectly organized and went above and beyond to constantly help improve our event. She did all our florals and design elements for the entire wedding, and recommended several of our amazing vendors (while keeping us on budget!)
Erin exceeded all of our expectations through her hard work and offered to take on just about any task to make the wedding better. As an organized, type A couple, we were concerned that any wedding planner would not be able to keep up with us. Erin completely proved us wrong and blew us away throughout the entire process, especially with all the adorable surprises she offered along the way. We will always treasure the throughtful extra’s she provided to us, and it is wonderful to know that the person you are working with to plan your wedding truly does care. Erin’s focus on details, passion to please, and love for wedding planning were key differentiators that made our day extra special. Thank you, Erin, for all your hard work and making our Romantic /​Rustic Vineyard Wedding a reality! We don’t know what we would have done without you, and we will miss our regular phone calls and meetings together!

I rarely write Unilocal reviews, but I cannot keep quiet about A Charming Affair. Erin was a godsend and our event wouldn’t have been the same of without her!
Erin went above and beyond with every detail and her communication is spot on — always timely and professional. Even though her business is relatively young, you would never know from the amount of information and help that Erin was able to provide. It is obvious that her time in the industry has fully prepared her for running her own business.
Beyond having all the organizational skills and wedding industry knowledge that you would want in a coordinator, Erin also has a great eye for design. When she found out that I was having trouble finding a florist she surprised me with the fact that she does floral as well. Although I was a bit skeptical at first that one person could take on floral and coordinating the day of I decided to trust her since she already understood my vision. To say that I was blown away by the arrangements she pulled together would be an understatement, my flowers were the MOST beautiful I have ever seen and I got so many compliments. Even my photographer and hair and make-​up artist, who have both done many weddings, commented multiple times about the unique and breathtaking beauty of our flowers. On top of that, her execution of the floral never once took away from her overall ability to coordinate our day.
On top of the flowers, when I walked in to both my ceremony and reception space I literally cried tears of happiness with the way that everything was presented and pulled together. I had many unique elements that I had designed and created and I had given Erin A LOT of little details to execute — Erin’s eye for design brought my vision to a whole new level, the entire vibe of our space was exactly how we imagined it! From our point of view she was able to ensure that our months of careful planning were realized without a hitch — if anything did go wrong we never knew about it — being able to enjoy your day on that level is the ultimate gift that a coordinator can provide.
From a timeline perspective, Erin was a great help in working with each of our vendors to create a detailed timeline for the day. She managed getting them all to where they needed to be at the appropriate time, a real blessing that allowed my family and I to fully enjoy the day without a worry. She was even a good sport when we decided last minute to extend our party an extra hour — she immediately stopped what she was working on and it seemed like only minutes before she had confirmed with the DJ and venue and called our departure transportation to rearrange things!
If you are on the fence at all about getting a wedding coordinator, do it! Hiring Erin was easily one of the best decision that we made regarding our wedding. My family lives far away so having an extra set of hands and a knowledgeable partner in this process was absolutely invaluable to my husband and I! If this review conveys even a fraction of how much we appreciate Erin on both a business and personal level than I will be pleased, we are forever grateful. Hire this girl and you won’t be disappointed!

Erin at A Charming Affair was the planner/​stylist and florist for styled wedding project that I had the pleasure of co-​producing and photographing. Let me just say that she is AWESOME. She handled all the details – big and small – promptly, professionally and with a relaxed grace that is rare in someone so detail oriented. And her creative style is incredible! The welcome details, ceremony site, dining area, bar area and flowers were *gorgeous*. She was really open to my suggestions and/​but after seeing Erin’s Pinterest board, it was easy to let her handle everything. I highly recommend her and hope to work with her again soon. Erin of A Charming Affair was our wedding planner for our recent wedding in late September. I could never have gotten through the whole planning process and ‘day of’ without her! She is very organized, very easy to contact via phone/​email (and meeting in person), extremely supportive during the stressful planning months and incredibly sweet as well. I am an interior designer by trade and it was hard for me to have someone else decorate my reception (but also GREAT to not have to so I could enjoy the day getting ready with my bridesmaids) and she did an AMAZING job setting up the tables, aisle and general décor! Both my parents have passed and I had a memorial table for them and she set it up beautifully without any direction from me. When I walked into the venue, I was so delighted at how everything turned out. Organizing events and paying attention to all of the details involved comes naturally to her.
Erin’s business is somewhat new but she has had a lot of experience doing weddings and events and as I said above, she is naturally talented at this line of work. I would book her now before everyone finds out about her!
