Konrad’s Kitchen and Tap House

This place is fantastic. What a pleasant surprise it was to find this gem while waiting for the train to arrive. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is out of this world. I highly recommend the grilled chicken, bacon, & Swiss with green beans. The chicken is cooked to perfection and the bacon adds great flavor. The bun is soft and spot on for this sandwich. The chicken hangs off past the breaded bed which it lays upon and is sooo tasty. Did I mention the honey mustard? A delightful condiment only upstaged by the glorious green beans that are hands down some of the freshest and overall best I have encountered anywhere in town. The wait staff are top notch and I cannot recommend this place enough. 10 stars!

Loved that we have another «non-​chain» choice in Lees Summit! Good food, great location! Will definitely be going back. I will also be taking any out of town guests there also!

I had the «bones», which was burnt on the outside and doughy on the inside. It was also very greasy, garlicky, and salty. In short it was the worst food I have been served in years and it literally made my stomach churn. How does this place get good reviews?! Is there just a shift that serves garbage like what we were served?.. Their fries were even cold and burnt! I was planning on staying for dinner and a few more drinks because they have an excellent beer selection, but nothing coming out of the kitchen looked appealing. Everything appeared greasy and burnt, so I had my dinner elsewhere…

Great service, and live music. We ordered appetizers and they arrived hot and delicious in mere minutes. Thanks!

Went there early on Sunday, very pleased with the food and service. The food tasted good and not like it was just tossed together. My son’s hamburger pizza was especially yummy. The sweet potato tots were warm and crunchy! And the bloody marys— spicy and delicious! Overall we were impressed with the quality of food, wasn’t really expecting it. We would definitely go back.

Simply put horrible food, burnt beyond recognition yet still brought out to our entire table, and cold I will never go back.

Food was amazing. Had their chicken wrap on lunch special– it was the best wrap I have ever had. It was light, yet flavorful and perfectly filling. It came with chips, and they were great too! Staff was friendly and environment was nice. No complaints! Would love to go back!

They have some good pizza. It’s not to bad.

Konrads Kitchen and Tap House is a truly family owned tap house. There is a good chance that two or three people from the owners family will be doing a great job at taking care of you. Mary and Adam are the best bar tenders EVER.
The Bones are made with fresh dough, garlic butter and mozzarella cheese. I don’t work here — I have eaten them that many times.
My second favorite is Sweet & Crunchy Fingers — a white fish rolled in yumminess.
They have live bands each week.

We were in Lee’s Summit early in the day and this place caught our eye so we came back for a late dinner on a Monday night. We were impressed by the quality of this spot. Even though it was late the owners were welcoming and kind. The menu was pub food, but better! I had a burger and my husband had the Cuban. The burger was cooked perfectly, the Cuban sandwich was amazing with well balanced flavor. Even the fries were special. Hats off to the chef. We’ll be back to try more of his cooking. We loved this place, down to the playlist in the background (Dispatch). Bar: a good selection on draft, Saga IPA was the winner. Take time to notice at the bar itself. Lots of detail in this place, lots of love. Konrads for the win.

Just had a unique jerk chicken tacos with mango salsa. Co-​owner Joe told me he made the salsa himself – and it was SO good. A good bite and pairs well with the chicken. So it’s leaped to the top of Konrad“s menu for me!

A local business that takes care of their customers. Serving pizza, sandwiches and greens along with a full bar. The on-​street parking is limited however you can park in back.
The pizza is very good as well as the fresh greens. The staff is very helpful and willing to work with you on your needs. The Fried Pickles are a must have.
Live bands Thursday thru Saturday. I play Live Trivia on Tuesdays.

Love the space and the food portions are huge. If you’re looking to drop a few pounds you’ll have limited options. I have yet to participate but they have a trivia night that seems fun. The stage area makes lee music a good choice. Right next to the train tracks in downtown Lee’s Summit. Overall I like this place and will come back. With few options for the 30+ crowd this place is great.

I was not impressed at all. I think for pub food, their prices were too high. The fried pickles were WAY too salty (and I like salty), and the burger tasted… well…off… I didn’t even eat half of it. I did however, like the sweet potato tots, but I don’t think I’ll go back. $ 15 was too expensive for the amount and quality of food I got. And I only drank water too.

Brick walls and wooden floors provide a pleasant ambiance, as does the roaring train, which passes just feet away from the building. There is a designated stage for bands or other entertainment and the bar is large and there is an assortment of tables to choose from, both high and low.
The waitstaff was both cheerful and helpful. The menu has all the typical bar options, plus pizza. At lunch they offer a pizza buffet for $ 7.99, and that includes a soda. The portions are large. The prices are reasonable. The food however is unremarkable. I had high hopes for the «Bones», but in my opinion, it tasted doughy. I also felt that the amount of filling that you received for the charge of .75 per filling item, was very skimpy. I also tried the Loin King, a large pork tenderloin sandwich. The breading was too thick and way too dark, close to burnt. The lettuce was wilted, but there was an abundance of pickles. I would have happily traded half of my pickles for a slice of tomato. The bun was a Kaiser roll that would have benefited from a toasting, or at least a little warmth.
Wish I had enjoyed my meal as much as some of the other Unilocal reviewers… but I didn’t. Perhaps you need to have a few beers first. Even if that didn’t make the food better… you would care a lot less. Drink up!

I came here last Thursday and it just so happened to be 80s ladies night. Keep in mind, I had no idea that was the theme and I was with my boyfriend.
I came here later in the evening to check out there love music. It was actually pretty cool. There is a little stage and the guy was singing some classics. I really enjoyed it!
They were only serving appetizers at this time so we decided to order «bones.» OMG!!! Deliciousness in dough!!! It’s literally rolled up pizza dough stuffed with cheese and meat of your choice with a side of pizza sauce. Simple concept but incredible. My boyfriend and I were so blown away by this food. Hopefully next time we can check out the other food options but I will be back for more music, drinks, & food!
