The food was alright, they gave our food to another table so we ended up waiting an hour to get our sub par food

So we go in we are seated fairly quickly, no issue. The waiter comes over does not introduce himself, does not give any flatware. We inquire about the specials and promotions no big deal. We ask the waiter to give us a minute and he take laterality 11 minutes to come back and take our order, no complementary bread, no water frankly empty handed. We make or order for drinks as well as food. The drinks come out with out the lemons on the side no big deal we will ask once he comes back, well he does not come back until we call for him because the food is there but we do not have any silverware, napkins or lemons. We continue to say thank you for every fulfilled request, but the waiter does not say thank you nor does he respond in anyway. To top off all the subpar service their is a hair in one of the appetizers. We ask the waiter to look at the plate and he ask if we want him to get the manager so that we can explain the issue. WTH is there to explain ! The manager comes over sees the hair asks if we want another plate and says the plate will be on the house. The food was high school cafeteria quality they wanted to nickel and dime for everything, half price appetizers require and 2.00 or more drink per appetizer, extra ranch for the buffalo wings is .35 are you kidding me. Never will we go back to this joke of a restaurant.

Best place to eat in Lees Summit. Great variety of food options, great happy hour deals and the best thing is the consistency. Lots of restaurants we visit are great one time and horrible the next. Lots of long time servers and bartenders and we haven’t had one that didn’t give outstanding service. We will continue visiting 54 once a week at least!

This place has food for everyone. There is a great variety, and something new to try every time. I especially enjoy their burgers, they seem to grill it just long enough without over-doing it. I will say, the people of Lee’s Summit really seem to like this restaurant too. There’s always a crowd, which makes things tight in there under-sized waiting area. I went on a Thursday night and there was still a 30 minute wait for my group, so I suggest making reservations if possible, because you’ll want to check this place out.

This place does look like an Applebee’s, but the food tastes way better. I really enjoyed the Catfish named Wanda($ 12.50). The fish tasted fresh(it didn’t taste rubbery at all, so I suspect it wasn’t frozen) and the breading was just right: thin, crispy and seasoned. Biscuit was nice too(I requested some honey) and the Mac m cheese was a hit w/my son. We would come back again! Though I will try to avoid peak rush. There was a huge crowd waiting in the lobby when we left.

Yes, it is a chain restaurant. Yes, it uses a «formula» for consistency. But unlike Applebee’s and others like it, 54th Street turns it into a positive. Up front, we have become«sort of» regulars for that reason. All who have passed Economics 101 understand that when there is a big demand it is usually because the product is seen as a great value — that«law» applies famously to 54th Street. It will be a rare time that you do not have to wait a few minutes for a table, no matter how big or small your party is. But the waiting area is comfortable, and that just proves the popularity. Should you not want to wait, their«drive up» carry out lane is efficient and friendly(there is even a sign with their phone number in the drive up area so you can make sure to record it in your phone’s contacts — great idea). To help, we usually ask to sit on their«patio» — during good weather it is open and actually a smoking area(that reduces your chances of being seated near loud, unruly, or undisciplined children) and regular nonsmoking during the winter, for quicker seating. Parking is deceptively good. The lot appears to be small, but it really isn’t. There are also adequate handicap slots. Inside, it does have that«Applebee’s» look, but it can soon be forgotten since over the past couple of years we have been going there the service has always been fast and friendly. The menu really does have«something for everyone» fare, from drinks, appetizers, entrees to deserts. For appetizers I do recommend their«shrooms»(battered with a wonderful cheese sauce) — the first time I ordered them they were so large I thought they had messed up the order and brought crab cakes! My personal favorite entrée is their Twin Bacon Wrapped Filets. Always full of flavor, never«stringy» or tough, and well priced. But we have never been let down by their pasta, sandwiches, or burgers. I know I have already mentioned the service, but let me add one more thing. Servers have always been knowledgable, friendly, and prompt. Usually going the extra mile to make sure things are right. Any time I have had an «issue» with anything(like over cooked steak, etc.) it has been made right quickly and respectfully. Happy Hour specials include half price appetizers and drinks(from the full bar), making it worthwhile to show up a bit early. Bottom line: it is an enjoyable alternative to Applebee’s on all fronts.

Always good, summer blend salad and cowboy soup yummy. Fun and still a crowd at 2 o’clock, had to make movie first. Ride Along 2 funny although Ben Bratt looks bad.

I love this restaurant chain … I always have fabulous service at the Zona Rosa and liberty location … This location in Lee’s Summit is not very friendly sad to say I went in around 4pm the bar was pretty full But there were a lot of tables available, there was NO one to seat me. I waiting for 10 minutes then finally grabbed a menu and say myself There was a bartender in sight but no one else. I waiting at least 15 min before anyone came over and this waitress was very rude I ordered a drink and my waitress kept coming back saying she was waiting on my drink … I waited and waited … They weren’t too busy so I didn’t really understand, interestingly enough I ordered food and it came out very quickly !! I wasn’t given any silverware but after stopping my waitress again I was able to obtain some Food was great as always. I won’t be returning to this location. It’s my second time here and it wasn’t good service last time either

Everything was fine– I didn’t really expect to be over-the-top impressed. Had the $ 1.75 happy hour beef taco and cheese dip. Watched the Royals paddle the Jays on TV. The crowd wasn’t especially into the game although some clapped. I was sitting at a high top near the entrance so I got to hear a 2 or 3 year old just inside the restaurant yelling ‘let’s go Royals’ in their loudest voice… about 50 times. The parents just thought it was ‘ssooooo cute!” When it is ever cute to hear someone’s kid yelling inside a restaurant? Get some manners people! My server was attentive & I was able to get in and out in about 45 minutes so all is well.

We’ve eaten at several 54th Street locations, our food was the freshest and tastiest at this location as well as having great service.

If you’re looking for some decently priced food with a lot of choices, 54th Street is probably the best for you. Their fries are wonderful, and so is their ever-so-popular gringo dip. Their bread with honey butter is pretty good too. My only advice though is to never get their wings, they are bland with almost no flavor. I’d suggest the 54 Sliders if anything. The sautéed onions on them are a plus. I’d also suggest to get there early on a weekend, or else you’d end up waiting for a good 3 hours.

Nice atmosphere, service was okay. I like the ½ price appetizers in the afternoon. A lot of the main menu items are bit pricey for me.

Every time i come to pick up food from this 54th street their service is horrendous. I get the wrong order, they take 20 minutes to bring my food out to me(though i called it in 30 minutes previous), and this is not just once but every time. Dont choose this 54th street. There is a better one in independence 10 minutes from this one, who clearly are better at customer service.

54th street is awesome. Get the gringo dip. It changed my life. Great food and pretty good prices. My fiancé and I go a lot and we typically make it out of there for around $ 30 including tip.

I finally made it to 54th Street. I have so many people who love this place, but because of it’s location I had never been. Today, me and two friends went there to kick off our holiday break from school. It was busy, and although the parking lot is awkwardly situated, all three of us were able to grab a parking spot. I had to walk a bit, but no big deal. We put our name in for 6, thinking 3 others would be joining us. The three of us that were there were seated within 5 minutes and given a nice long booth. Before we could even order drinks we learned that the other 3 were not coming. We told our waitress and apologized and let her know that we were okay moving to a small table to free up the big one she gave us. She was cool about it and told us not to worry. There was SO many options. Pages and pages of choices. However, nothing really spoke to me. One friend got the Chicken Fried Chicken. It was a huge meal, it looked amazing, and she loved it. I add thought about the Rattlesnake Pasta, but when my other friend ordered it, I decided not to because I knew I could taste hers. When I did, I was glad I didn’t order it. I didn’t think it was anything special. Definitely not something I would order in the future. She enjoyed it however. I ended up having to just pick something because I couldn’t make up my mind. I went with the Beef Nachos. Again, I didn’t find anything special about them. They were just okay, not something I would order again. What I did love was the bone in wings we ordered. They were amazing. If I were to go back, I would get these every time. They we fried crispy and then sauced. Nice and meaty with excellent flavor. My friends laughed at me, but the celery was the best celery I have ever had. Lots of FRESH thick pieces. The ranch dressing was also wonderful. My friends had margaritas, on frozen and one on the rocks. They both loved them. It is one’s friend’s favorite place to get them. The restaurant was clean and things were well organized. Our waitress was superb and someone else brought out food out to us, which to me meant that it didn’t have to sit there until our waitress could get to it. I don’t see myself suggesting 54th Street in the future when going out to eat with friends, expect for the fact that I would love to have their wings again. If someone else suggested it, I would be down to going again.

For a chain, this place is wonderful. I’ll start with the bad: –Parking is limited. Not enough for the capacity of the place. –the booth tables are too high. I felt like a little kid. The good: Everything else! The service is great. They have extra people to bring your food out as soon as it’s ready, instead of waiting on your wait person. Our gal was very honest about which sides we good or not. We were in and out in 30 minutes and that was imperative being on a road trip. The food was all delicious. 44 bucks for 2 drinks, app and 2 entrees.

My fiancée and I came by Saturday evening. We got ahead of a small rush, but there wasn’t a whole lot of people due to the holiday weekend. We got in and were immediately seated. Tried their new zeppelin pretzel appetizer. Excellent! It came with a cheese dip with a bit of spice. This may be our go-to appetizer when we come back. Last time I went to a 54th Street(not this location), I ordered one of their sandwiches, but I was in the mood for a bacon cheese burger. My fiancée to a long time to order, mulling over the options on the sandwich section because«I would like to eat every one of these sandwiches.» Ultimately, she settled on the Sirloin Steak Cheese. Both our meals were nice. My fiancée regrets not asking for no peppers, but it was still good. The fries were good as well. Great food, good service. We will return.
