The customer service on the phone needs help. The delivery was fast and friendly. No serving utensils for this price is ridiculous! You give a standard for a to go order! You don’t tell me that since it’s being delivered to a house, you get nothing to eat with! Not worth the trouble for average food. Egg tools are the same size as spring rolls, in what world?!

I love Aikou! I come here multiple times whenever I’m in town. Very flavorful dishes, my favorites are the orange chicken and the Moo goo gai pan. Always fresh and very timely. They get a lot of flack for their customer service, which admittedly isn’t the best, but they’re literally just there to do their job and serve tasty food. Expecting anything more is setting yourself up for disappointment :)

The food is really good and they are generally very fast about fixing it. Prices are a bit high in my opinion compared to any other Chinese restaurant, but this being one of the best Chinese restaurant I’ve had in the area, I guess the slightly higher prices are worth the better food. The lady that’s always there is very rude though. Doesn’t say thank you or have a nice day or anything. She’s even thrown my bag down in front of me before. One of the reasons I always get it to go. Just so I don’t have to deal with her.

Had a pretty big order for some last minute house guest and the the food was wonderful as always. Guest raved at how good the food was. Only place to get Chinese food in Lee’s Summit. Had the Generals, Springfield, and Chicken snow peas, along with egg rolls, crab ragoons and hot and sour soup. Everything was good!

USED to be my favorite. But the last few months the food hasn’t been as good(soggy eggrolls, pasty noodles, etc.) and the people seem to all be mad at each other. A child takes orders and runs the register while another runs around barefoot. They mop and move furniture while people are trying to pick up orders, like the customers are interfering with their time. I’m very sad that I can’t recommend them any more, but I’ve waited long enough for them to get back to the good food and friendly service I enjoyed so much.

The food was terrific! Don’t let the small restaurant & take-out atmosphere deter you. The food was excellently prepared, fresh and abundant with ingredients. I haven’t seen sweet and sour chicken served with the pineapple and veggies in years. Hot and sour soup was tasty with all the ingredients, instead of just the broth and egg like some places. Chicken lo mein was delicious and the kids split that with lots left over. The«chicken with veggies» had the white garlic sauce(moo goo gai pan) vs. the brown sauce«chicken with mixed vegetables» it is sometimes served with at other places. Crab Rangoon, steamed rice, and fried rice were well prepared too. Everything was good! We got the dinner combos and the portions were generous. They deliver too! Just moved to Lee’s Summit and we are happy to have found our new place to order Chinese from. FYI Your maps app may send you in the wrong direction like it did for us. It’s located in the middle of a strip mall on the Southeast corner of Chipman and 291 hwy. Look for IHOP.

Yuk — confusing taste. Not for me but many like it. I’ll not be back. China King still rules.

Rude rude rude! The woman that answered the phone said they wouldn’t deliver to my house because it was too far. Has she checked her map again, she might have noticed that we were in her delivery zone if the driver takes the most efficient route. Instead she hung up on me! I will never step foot in this place for sure!

Only because I couldn’t do 2.5 stars. This place was very average. I got delivery and the lady on the phone was very unprofessional. Although the food did come in 20 minutes, she told me it would be 30 – 40. The man who brought it was on the phone the entire time and didn’t even say hello or acknowledge my presence when I came to the door. Their egg drop soup was pretty good but the crab rangoon was not good at all. I did however enjoy the pork lo mein. All in all, I don’t see myself ordering from this place again. But I could end up giving them another try.

Solid lunch specials. Get soup and a roll with the meal. Cashier seems nuts but that’s her personality and she is cheerful. I like their lo mein. I do recommend this Chinese place. Not many in the KC area worth trying

Very good food, and, fast service. I usually eat in and order when I get there. I have never had to wait long for my meal. My favorite is the Generals Chicken.

Aikou is a good little spot, quick on delivery or pickup as well. The food is above average and suits my craving just fine, best in Lees Summit in my opinion.

Service, service, service. This place does not have it. We called in a order for delivery like we always do. After 40 minutes called back to check on it. I was told they did not have a order for delivery, then was asked if I called the right number? By the way, she was the one who took my order and I am pretty sure they have caller id. I then repeated my order, it then jared her memory. Proceeded to tell me I did not say for delivery. Wrong answer. «Do you still want it?» Will it be made again, fresh? A firm no. I cancelled it. No sorry for the confusion or the wait. They did not care. Hey owner, I speak matter of a fact too. So here it is, your food is good. Your attitude, your service and your dealing with customers is deplorable. We will never order from you again. A big no go to.

I love this place, we order about once a week and our food is delicious! The owner is a sweet lady who speaks in a very matter-of-fact tone but don’t confuse it with being rude. Our food is always fresh and we had not had anything we didn’t like. We usually order the basics such as chicken fried rice, beef broccoli, and their spring rolls but we have also enjoyed their chicken mei fun, chow mein, lo mein, etc. Try it for yourself, you won’t regret it.

The food here is probably the best I’ve had in the KC metro area, but the Chinese women out here just looooooooove to yell at you when you call in an order. Her daughter and sister(I think?) help out at the restaurant and deliver insane customer service. So, if you can get past the«WHYDIDYOUCALLMERIGHTNOW?» attitude of the owner, or by luck, get to talk to the other sweet ladies, you’ll find the food is fresh and to New York style Chinese food taste. It’s definitely not your run-of-the-mill fast Chinese food experience. The restaurant itself is small but welcoming, very clean and well-lit. Order at the counter and sit down wherever. Very casual.

Even though I no longer live in this hallowed town, this is my GOTO Chinese Restaurant. It is a very small restaurant, roughly seat 27 people, but the food is excellent. This may sound strange but when I have chinese, I want one certain thing. I want to see REAL chinese food, meaning Fungus. You get that here The portion sizes, both lunch and dinner, are ample. You get your monies worth. Even though the location isn’t the greatest and the parking is limited, this is a restaurant the deserves your patronage. You will not be disappointed.

The food I purchased was amazing. I’d have to say that their Crab Rangoon is the best I’ve ever tasted. However, I’ve eaten at my share of Chinese restaurants but this one takes the cake. The customer service is horrible. Whatever happened to being polite to your customer. The lady who took my order was mean spirited, dismissive, and rude. It’s one things to cook great food but you also have to treat your customers right, so Aikou get it together cause«ain’t no body got time for that.»

Excellent food! Very fresh, quick service, did I mention very fresh? The restaurant is clean, food was served very quickly. We had beef lo mein, broccoli chicken, and chicken on a stick. We will definitely come back!

Aikouuuuu~~~!!! By far my favorite take out place. Anyone who knows me can tell you that I have this soft spot for NY style Chinese. No idea why. Your usual appearance for a Chinese place. Booths, open kitchen, child studying at a table, faded pictures of dishes on the board above the counter. Service, though, is always friendly. I usually steer towards sesame/general tso’s chicken, and fried things like egg rolls and crab rangoon, all of which are tasty. They have lunch specials, and they do deliver for I think a $ 25 minimum.
