This place is overrated. To start: there was a cover of $ 10. Dancers were there but I didn’t think they were necessary — they just made it more crowded. It was jam packed when I went there one weekend in August. Forget about dancing because there’s no room for that here. Trying to maneuver past everyone was awful. You’re better off not moving from where you are or else you’ll end up somewhere in the back or in front of the DJ. The music was decent, but it was way too loud. I have no idea how the bartender heard anything we ordered. Drinks: way overpriced as were the shots. We went to have a seat outside but that was all taken too. Save yourself a lot of money and hassle, don’t bother coming here.

Went here on New Years Day. Our first impression was not good. The greeter is a large man in a suit who points to your table and tells you to go there. When I wasn’t quite sure what table he was pointing too, he seemed annoyed. That still didn’t mean he accompanied us to the table though, he just waved us on from the other side of the room. Service was terrible! The waitress never came to ask us if we wanted drink refills, or how our food came out. Then, when we were done, we sat for thirty full minutes before the waitress FINALLY glanced our way, and we could request the check. Also, two managers were milling around checking their phones. We were never asked how the service was or if we needed anything. The two stars were forthe food. The Barbacoa tacos were good, and the atmosphere was a welcome rest from the crazy casino atmosphere. Would we go back? Probably not.

I visited this bar(after reading some of the hilarious reviews on Unilocal) last Saturday after a concert at Foxwoods. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest, but I was pleasantly surprised. Let me first say, I was not kicked in the arm at any point during the evening.(See other reviews below to see why that’s relevant.) It was about 11 pm and very busy, but not overwhelming. The décor was nice and dancers were great and super hot! The drinks were average price and pretty strong. The music was ok, good for dancing. Now for the cons. THEOTHERPEOPLE. There were lots of creepy drunk bro guys staring open mouthed at dancing women. Also, quite a few groups of bachelorette parties were present. I felt like I was in the Jersey Shore. Just not my crowd, but if that’s what you’re into it could be a good time. It’s too bad, they can’t help who comes to their bar. It’s a casino. I would probably only go back there before 10 pm for dinner and drinks.

Great Mexican style food at Foxwoods. A lot of the other restaurants are overpriced in the casino but Scorpion Bar gives you a lot for your money. Ordered the hot barbacoa tacos which were really good but super spicy. Yucca fries were a nice addition as a side dish. Least expensive cava/sparkling wine and drink menu in the casino but the cocktail list is limited and most of the margaritas are super sweet. At night the place turns into a club with a dance floor. It’s a little crowded but the DJ was spinning good beats and my friend and I had an awesome time dancing until the place closed.

Granted we went on a Sunday night and yes, I ordered a bourbon at a tequila bar, but to charge for ice in a cocktail while playing the Goo Goo Dolls and the Gin Blossoms at a «rock n roll» bar is unacceptable. The tacos were mediocre, as well, along with $ 5 for white rice. Plenty of other options in the casinos. I suppose if you were ordering a huge scorpion ball with a big crew it might be fun, but I would take a pass.

Oh Scorpion Bar you disappointed us last weekend. I have always been intrigued by this bar during visits to the casino. Its dark and mysterious atmosphere finally drew me and my small group of friends in for dinner and drinks. I just wish it could have been a better experience. We were greeted at the entrance by a man wearing a suit and an earpiece. I assumed he was the bouncer. He explained that the host had other things to attend to and would be right back. A few minutes passed while he spoke into the earpiece in an attempt to locate the missing host. Soon another man in a suit appeared and explained there would be a wait for a table. We were hungry and on a schedule since we were at Foxwoods for a concert. The alternative offer was a bar seat and we accepted. I would give this place five stars for atmosphere. It has an edgy, rockstar feel to it with dim lightning, great music, and unique décor. The waitstaff and bartenders are all very pretty people and most of them friendly as well. It seemed the bar was short staffed on this particular night. The«host» later appeared behind the bar to offer some help and I saw him bring food out of the kitchen. I believe he may have been one of the managers and he was working hard to compensate for an apparent staffing issue that night. We ordered margaritas and also chips with guacamole and salsa to start. The salsa and guacamole were delicious, but we ran out of chips. We had half a bowl of each left and requested more chips. It only makes sense to have enough chips to finish the dip right? Well, the tortilla chips sparked a discussion behind the bar between our server and another bartender. We were within earshot, but were not supposed to hear as they discussed how much to charge us for the extra chips! It was so unprofessional that we heard this conversation, but even worse we were charged for the chip refill. Then there was a painstakingly long wait for our entrees. Dinner finally arrived and to my disappointment it was one of the worst burritos I have ever eaten. If we had more time I would have sent it back, but at this point it was almost time for the concert to start. The California Burrito was extremely dry with big chunks of cheese and potatoes. All the steak was hiding at one end and I had to tear the burrito apart to find it. At least I had filled up on those non-complimentary chips. The Margaritas were also very good. Perhaps it was due to the Fourth of July holiday and scheduling was tight, however our experience just was not good. Not sure if the atmosphere alone will be enough to lure me in next time.

We were staying at the hotel for one night while visiting in the area, had a few drinks here and a nice conversation with one of the young ladies tending the bar, great personality… she«made» our evening pleasant

I have past the Scorpion bar a few times while playing at Foxwoods. Usually there is a serious looking guard outside the door of what looked to be a dark place. Anyway, I went here BEFORE the Kings of Chaos show last month to meet up with a friend, have drinks. The food was good! I got the chicken quesadillas which I did finish by myself but it was more than enough food. For a drinking, I ordered one of the margaritas which had the smokey tasting tequila but not so bad! When getting up to leave, my friend mentioned that this place turns into a pretty nice dance/nightclub but there is a cover(he believed). I spoke to one of the guards at the door while leaving(who was gorgeous and personable) and asked if we could come back without paying a cover charge, that we were going to the concert in the Fox Tower… he said, «Not a problem», gave me his name and I thanked him! AFTER the Kings of Chaos, I didn’t see him at the door but the guard at the door remembered me mentioning that I would be returning(how’s that for customer service?) and I thanked this man and we went in! The DJ was not on yet and it was a little past 10pm, the lights were dimmed a bit too. Finally, the show started! Music was top-40’s type then the dancers came out. There were like two super stars(getting all the bills) but I can say it was a nice touch although slightly intimidating as I’m here wanting to shake it but I’m wearing jeans, t-shirt and no cleavage showing. The dancers stayed on(rotating) for at least an hour or two then the music got louder and the drinks kept coming! I love dancing… and noticed there isn’t much floor space for dancing partially but standing space for the shy folks plus a lounge area towards the back. There is a patio/deck towards the back on the left that’s spacious. It was really fun. We met a few good people who also felt like dancing, laughing and ordering more drinks/shots. At 1:50am, lights went on and music stopped(I think in mid-song). That was a bit awkward but they did not yell at people to get out. let a few of us hang out for a bit, get some water and cool down. I like this place :)

My co workers and I decided to stop here to celebrate a birthday. I ordered chips and salsa — salsa was really good. We also got the empanadas that were pretty yummy and some drinks due to happy hour. The atmosphere was dark and rock music was the theme. It was a Tuesday so it wasn’t packed. I’ve been here before on a Thursday and it was wild, I can imagine a Friday or Saturday — I would recommend reservations for that. The waitress was sweet but young looking. A little uncomfortable when in a bar. But anyway, she was patient with me as I was returning my drinks. Although happy hour was in effect, drinks are high and they were very weak. I got tired of returning my HH drinks and ordered a martini. Go figure that full price drink had alcohol. That is why I gave this place 3 stars. Don’t skimp on the liquor –_– On a positive note– I would recommend this place if you’re single as there are women coming in together and men at the bar ;)

Potential is there. Obviously great location within Foxwoods. Food was excellent, had quesadilla, make bartender wee beyond super attentive and professional. Female bartender, beautiful, efficient; but snobby, rude, and ruined what would have been a great experience

I had my bachelorette at Scorpion Bar last summer. All seemed to go really smoothly with dinner and drinks and we were allowed to reenter later in the evening without cover for dancing and had a good time. This location was the best to work with for large groups as they were the most flexible with their menu options and did not require we purchase a certain package or meet a specific price point. They also returned phone calls and followed up with my maid of honor, sadly some of the other options did not. The prices are not as steep as some of the other locations at the casino. The service was friendly and and welcoming. The drinks were decent and the bar had a really large selection. We split a few types of appetizers and everything was enjoyable, good drinking comfort food. I really like the look and atmosphere of the bar, basic restaurant during the early evening into something far more dance club-ish after 10. The dance floor was packed the whole night and the DJ did a good job of keeping everyone moving. My bridal party girls ended up staying here until close and had no complaints.

We had made reservations for 8 o’clock. Upon arriving at the restaurant promptly at 8PM, we were told that a private party had not yet left the establishment, and we were made to wait outside of the bar while it was cleared out and reset for dining. I can understand being made to wait a short amount of time, but anything over 15 minutes is unacceptable when the party has reservations. We waited outside of the restaurant for 45 minutes. No one associated with the restaurant came to offer us any information or explanation while we stood outside the Scorpion Bar, uncomfortably crowded together with several other parties who were waiting to enter. We were not offered seats, we were not allowed to enter the establishment to go wait at the bar, and we were not even given an apology. Once we finally were let into the restaurant, the host who lead us in abandoned us in the foyer, and I actually had to go and find an employee to tell us where we were supposed to go. Once we were seated, our waitress was kind to us, but no one from management came to check on us, offer us some sort of compensation, or even apologize for our being seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. I posted on their Facebook page about our experience and someone from the restaurant reached out to me and asked me to email the details of our experience. I did so, and I never received a response. I emailed again and was directed to someone else. I emailed THAT person twice, received no response, and I was never acknowledged again. I would not recommend The Scorpion Bar to anyone, nor would I give them any business again. There are much better options at Foxwoods, I advise you to spend your money at a more deserving place.

I’ve eaten here a number of times with friends. Always had excellent service with a good selection of food. The food will normally come out so quick you might want to ask your server to slow it down. Nothing overpriced on the menu and very nice sized portions. It was funny that the gentleman at the door carded us. I haven’t been carded since I was about 17, so it was a little odd, but nothing to damper the experience. Will be coming back again.

Went here the other day and it was quite good all around. The atmosphere was a bit crazy at the time because of the drunk karaōke which was extremely entertaining to watch. The group I went with ordered burritos, tacos, burgers, and the jalapeño garlic wings. All the food was great and came out quickly. The drink menu is quite large and has a huge variety of tequilas to choose from. Most of us got margaritas which were well made and delicious. They also have a $ 100.00 Margarita which I am totally curious on how that of! The seating is also very comfortable as we sat in the back on these sofa top booth which were very practical to sit and watch. The waitress was extra friendly and eager to suggest food and drinks. The only questionable part of the whole place is the extreme amass of crosses lined in the back wall and above the bathroom, a little strange but hey whose to judge! Will visit on my next trip to Foxwoods!

Big tequila selection and a long bar. Drinks are good but we did not have any food. I wished they were a little more«fresh» with their mixing and that the bartenders were a little more talkative. At some point during the night, all the chairs and tables are removed and it becomes a night club. Unfortunately we did not stay that long to see all the shenanigans.

Sexy interior, overwhelming tequila selection… SOLD It’s dark, sexy, a bit grimy, polite doormen, lady bartenders are dressed sexy but sporty. Something for everyone! they have huge scorpion bowls for $ 40, that serve 4. Didn’t get one, but sweet option. Go in, get a shot or two, people watch, get out. NOTE: If you are allergic to Bachelorette parties, this is not the place for you. I saw at least 3 tiaras/cowboy hats with veils attached

Went for Superbowl Sunday. One bartender, tall brunette, couldn’t stop from checking herself out in the mirror, the blonde one thought she was better than anyone of us ever thought of being and the shorter brunette was the best but was down the other end of the bar. I wish we had her all night long. Service was good from all the staff. They had a toilet or something bust in the bathroom so there was water all over the floor, the wet dry vacuum running and the running around about the place took away from the game activities. A dumb ass Budweiser light promo event came in for 5 minutes which was stupid since I didn’t get anything like a football helmut or necklaces and I was drinking Bud Lite. lol Every waitress had a story, busting out of their top. I don’t know I just kinda don’t get it. The theme was Mexican, dessert, scorpion but out of the bar wall they had cow heads. Why not cattle skeletons? In the desert, animals die, not thrive. Nacho’s were good. Flautas were a waste. Staff all flirts with one another, gets old and typical.
