This is a beginner bike shop. If you are an avid cyclist stay clear. They have shit bike mechanics and generally don’t know what they are talking about. I worked in one of the largest Trek stores in NY so I know a thing or two about cycling and these guys know bare bone minimum. If you just want a leisure bike sure it’s better than Walmart. But if you are a serious cyclist looking for a new bike or a bike mechanic DONOT go here.

Omer & Bob’s is a great shop run by good people. Too bad the town of Hanover drove them to leave town with their anti-business way of handling local business’s. Really a shame but there’s way more parking where they are now.

Omer & Bob’s is to Hanover, New Hampshire what Paragon is to Manhattan. Proportionately — O & B is, at most, 1⁄6th of the size of P? However, the former makes good use of its space by rotating merchandise appropriate for the season. I have bought tennis, yoga & ski wear from the store since 2003. Although expensive, my combined clothing bill is nowhere near what was spent for the 3 Trek bikes bought for me.(Don’t ask why I have needed 3 in 5 years.). The first model was chosen in-store. The 2nd was a repeat purchase of the first. The third was researched via Trek’s website & then ordered by phone through Omer & Bob. I love that each bike comes with a year of service included. The owner(for the past 20 years) is also wonderful. Last month, he stayed well past closing time to introduce me to my latest, new wheels. I would obviously recommend this store since I’m a repeat customer for big ticket items. & yes, Omer & Bob were actual people who started the store.

i have been in and out of Omer and Bob’s over the past couple of years. Usually, I am just trying to kill some time or trying to find the most comfortable road bike saddle. This time around I was just looking to get some new skis for my girlfriend. Luckily, they had the ones she wanted in the correct size, but being indecisive we decided to not purchase them thinking we could find a better deal around Boston. I ended up calling back a few days later to place them on hold. We drove back up on Sat. morning and got the new sticks mounted up in about 30 mins. –1 since they didnt accept Amex, but who does really. It my own fault for not going with the universally accepted Visa. I’d definitely check out this place for your ski/bike needs the sales people are an endless source of knowledge.
