Food was so delicious. Wish we lived here so we could eat here more often. Taste of the food is so good. Never had anything of that taste. A must try if you’re in that area.

Ate here a week or so ago, have been seeking an exceptional Leavenworth eatery for years now. Some creative dishes, some bland ones. Good wood fired pizza, shrimp Diabla so-so, almost less than chain quality. Claims to be a tapas place, but a bit pricey for that. Very good caprese(unusually tasty cherry tomatoes for this time of year), seafood chowder so-so to bad. Clams and drinks were OK. Our waiter was very enthusiastic and helpful, but at the end when he asked for candid feedback on the fare he did not take it so well. Perhaps I could have worded the feedback better. Very good décor and atmosphere. Probably one of the better restaurants in Leavenworth, but don’t come to the town solely for cuisine. I seriously question all the«amazing!» reviews here. They look like shills. Few objective(imho) critical reviews in the ones I’ve seen. An example: «the service was amazing, and all of the dishes were very authentic tasting. We just kept going! We were constantly shooting each other glances, accompanied by an ‘Mmmmmm…’» Smells like an ad to me!

The family and I had such a great experience; the service was amazing, and all of the dishes were very authentic tasting. We just kept going! We were constantly shooting each other glances, accompanied by an «Mmmmmm…» Don’t forget to finish off your meal with the Berry Crumble! The nuts, berries, and whipped cream made for a delightful spoonful; the kids especially enjoyed it. Thanks for a great meal.

Poor customer service. Waited for 15 minutes for someone to take our order. Once they took it took another 10 to get 1 glass if wine and 1 glass of cider. Another 10 for dessert, which was terribke. Mixed berry crisp. what a joke. Warm berries and whipped cream. No crisp topping. Watery berries. Not worth the wait. Only good thing was the table next to us with the cute kids. Will not go back!

Went here the other night with my whole family and it was delicious. We ordered family style and shared everything. The pizzas were awesome(I HIGHLY recommend the fungi pizza, we all loved it) and we ordered the pistachio crusted salmon and flank steak with mushroom. Every bite of food was devoured. We also ordered beer, they had a small but great selection. They even had one of my favorite beers, the Hofbrau Hefe. We almost considered going back to this restaurant for lunch the next day. If you’re looking for something other than brats during you stay in Leavenworth, I highly recommend this place.

Every dish we had was fantastic! The scallops were perfectly cooked, the flank steak was also just right and the sauce so flavorful. The Margherita pizza was awesome. The chocolate a l’orange was amazing. The service was excellent, too! We’ve found a new favorite destination restaurant! Please note that although the address is right, the numbers on that street are out of order, so look for the red umbrellas next to the icicle brewery.

5 Stars For Me. Let the haters hate! As a local, I am always looking for more or upper scale places to dine that suit my appetite for deliciousness as well as a nearly vegan diet. I have wanted to visit Sulla Vita since they opened, and last night was the night. First Impression: My wife and I were very pleased. Great service right from entry, with a smile, and by a tender that genuinely looked/seemed happy to be there. Ambiance was on point, everything was clean and well organized, the design and décor looked very well thought out as well. Food/Drink: We were very impressed. The wine selection was one to be desired(maybe more North Central WA or Woodinville wines would be nice, but great selection nonetheless). A bottle of Cab Sauv was offered to compliment a take on fungi pizza and side greens. The house greens and dressing were amazingly presented and large for just a house salad. It was accompanied with kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, a solitaire pepperoncini, and a dab of pesto. WOW! We were able to enjoy the salad fully before the pizza arrived with impeccable timing on both accounts. The pizza came on their house made wood fired crust. We had them make some substitutions to meet our needs and were not sure what to expect. Well, expectations were met and then exceeded. The crust was firm and held the toppings right in place. The toppings were plentiful, but not overbearing. The taste was amazing and very satisfying. The presentation was impressive for a pizza. You can tell a lot of heart and soul goes into the food that kitchen produces. WOW! Staff: The knowledge of the bartender on what ingredients are in each of the plates was astounding. I have never dined somewhere that the server knew the answer to every question asked and didn’t need to keep running back to the kitchen to gather requested information. Someone knew what they were doing when choosing to hire her. People who eat the way we do are not always the easiest to serve while dining. She made us feel welcome in what would normally be a tough position for all involved. She made educated suggestions and helped us to figure out what would be good, solid choices for our evening. There were many other diners present, yet were checked on frequently and never left having to chase someone down for anything. End game: Service, selection, appearance, cleanliness, knowledge, ambiance, food, drink, and experience — All of which were simply amazing. Kailey(our bartender) — You and your professionalism in the industry have made us your new regulars. We will make Sulla Vita a destination because of you. We will bring friends and family to share in our experiences there. We will tell others to pay a visit now. You made it very worth our time and money to dine in such an exquisite atmosphere. Thank you for all you do. James — All I can say to you is, Very Well Done! Good choices across the board. We cant wait to dine with you again and we cant stop talking about our experience. I think some people would benefit from being a server at least once in their lives to have a better, fuller understanding of what it is like. Especially in a tourist destination that booms during the holidays. What do you do though??? You are now a victim of your own success. And James, Thank you for giving the community something new to feast on; And feast we shall!

I was debating between German food while at Leavenworth and finally decided to pick this place due to the photos on Unilocal and glad we came. We were able to share everything family style and everything was more ‘new american’ more so than ‘mediterranean’. Everything was super flavorful– some favs/must orders are: stuffed dates brussel sprouts with fig YUM stuffed mushrooms the mushroom arugula pizza scallops flank steak the bartender was super friendly… he may have been the owner!

The food was fresh especially the arugula house salad, but all the dishes we ordered where very rich and buttery. Some of my favorite light meals where made into comfort food which I didn’t like. Steamed clams are usually my go to. The menu said they where in a white wine sauce but they came in a bowl of pure butter. The chowder was tasty but hard to feel good after eating, it was like eating 2 cubes of butter! Same to the alfredo fungi pizza, came on a light thin crust with yummy mushrooms but the Alfredo sauce weighed it way down.

Ate dinner with friends here after a long day of snowboard in Stevens pass. We were all freezing on Christmas Day with most shops closed in Leavenworth except a few that had long lines and this was one. We were seated quickly since it was outdoor not indoor seating and the heat lamps were hot but the winter was more fierce but they offered us blankets and hot water. This hospitality was quite endearing. Hence for service 5⁄5 The atmosphere was quaint, warm and cute, a mix of sweetness and style 5⁄5 Now for the food. We ordered tomato soup 5⁄5 and clam chowder 4⁄5. Pesto or dipping sauce for the flatbread is divine 5⁄5. For pizzas the best one is the marguerite 5⁄5. Seems like it might be the mushroom but it was alright 3.5÷5. The hot chocolate is too watery and somewhat sweet, definitely not the rich creamy decadence we expected 3.5÷5. Overall food is 4⁄5. Bottom line: no fakes here. 4.5 is what I rate and 4.5 is the rating I already see.

This place hit all the marks for what I like at a restaurant. A nice hostess, nice wait staff and awesome food. There is a good amount of seating — bar, tables and a booth/table for a family. There is also seating outside complete with heating lamps if the cold doesn’t bother you. The lighting and music is good, not too loud which I like. For food we got a pie, half carne and half mushroom with arugula. Delicious, I really liked the crispiness and thinness of the pizza. We also got the cauliflower parsnipe gratin. Also very good a bit on the cheesy side though, but I liked it. Even as the place got busy on Christmas Eve, the staff were very nice and kept our waters full and checked on us. The food came fairly quickly and was nice and hot. For sure if you want pizza and are in town, try here.

This place is a gem in the midst of its Bavarian surroundings. The wood fired pizza is fantastic and the service is also on point. From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out they continue to acknowledge your presence. The Margherita pizza is unique as they use sun-dried tomatoes instead of a pomodoro-like sauce. It’s unexpectedly pretty good. The pizzas are more personal size than shareable but can be shared if you’re not that hungry along with an appetizer.

Stopped in for lunch while visiting Leavenworth on Wednesday. Ordered the Sulla Vita Platter — consists of 2 types of salami, two types of hard cheese, grape tomatoes/olive oil, cheese and black olives and pepper chini. Roasted elephant garlic and homemade basil pesto. Freshly made flat bread right out of the wood oven. So delicious… We ordered a second platter with extra pesto and bread. Also ordered 2 glasses of red wine. The wait staff was so personable and very helpful about what to order. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu items. We sat at a table by the window and enjoyed the sunshine and watched others check out the menu. Like we did. The restaurant has outdoor seating too. Every thing was clean even the rest rooms. When we asked for more pesto, the chef personally brought the pesto to our table and chatted a bit. The menu basically consists of various pizzas, many Tapas dishes, soups and salads and a couple desserts. Will definitely stop in again when we visit Leavenworth! Highly recommend.

Oktoberfest in Leavenworth isn’t exactly a vegan’s dream. Luckily we landed here for the Seahawks game today. Everyone that we encountered was great. Especially our server, Adam. He knew the menu well so when we asked about vegan options he was ready with suggestions. We opted for the brussel sprouts to start. I’m not a big fig fan, but these were awesome. The kitchen is open to the rest of the restaurant so pretty soon Adam got us talking to Chef Adam who happens to be vegan. So I just told him to make me whatever pizza he would want. He asked me a couple of questions about my preferences and whipped up a wonderful pizza. The topping selection he made was great and the crust was crispy and flavorful. My husband devoured the prawns in basil pesto. It was served with a flatbread that he used to sop up all the pesto. Then I threw down a challenge to Chef Adam and asked him to make me vegan stuffed mushrooms. The menu version has chorizo and cheese. Mine had a savory tomato, garlic and red pepper filling and were topped with artichoke hearts and chef’s special sun-dried tomatoes. We had a great experience here. Great service, friendly staff and talent in the kitchen. I’d definitely come back.

Just had dinner here. Every bite was amazing. I eat low carb and there are so many choices here. We had the house greens, seafood chowder, platter, and cauliflower and parsnip gratin. My husband had a great hard cider and I enjoyed a delicious Americano with awesome crema. They have a great variety of items to choose from and everything is done to perfection. I only wish I was still hungry so I could eat more!

Visited Leavenworth on Memorial Day weekend and it was crazy packed everywhere. Seeing that it was an Italian restaurant versus the German themed restaurants, Sulla Vita had some openings. They had outdoor seating and we were able to bring our pup. And by pup, I mean 85lb pit mix. It was a warm day so they had the misters going as well. The service was great and we ended up with just getting a pizza and beers. Their hefe was delicious and so was their blonde. We got the Funghi pizza. For very basic ingredients, you can taste the difference in their dough and cheese. They don’t have much to their menu. But their simplicity is made up in their quality pizza.
