What a gem! This afternoon we had the pleasure of taking a tour — given by 83-year-old Phyllis Bass, who was one of the museum’s founders — and not only was Mrs. Bass incredibly informative & delightful, but the museum is an absolute *treasure trove*. It has many wonderful old photos — including some from the famous Everhard collection — and *innumerable* items of historical interest. Mrs. Bass told us many fascinating stories about the people and the history. She spent about two hours with us (guided tours are the only option) and the cost was only $ 5/each (the ultimate bargain). The museum is a «must» if you visit Leavenworth!
Hours: Monday-Friday from 1 – 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 – 1 p.m.
