This is our favorite restaurant! We recommend it to all our friends and family. The food is phenomenal — local farm fresh organic food and everything is scratch made. Even the beer and wine is local. We can’t say enough about how good this place is and almost wish we could keep it a secret! It is too good not to share.

Me and my mother went in early New Year’s Day and spoke to who we think is the chef? We wanted to check the place out, really wanted to support the place as we love the concept. Anyways, she tells us their having a special menu and my mom says«oh that sounds great, we’ll try and make it», then we say goodbye and leave. That night we show up, place is busy, my whole family is waiting up front and the host is trying to find out if they can fit us in. He asks if we had a reservation and my mom says no and makes the offhand comment that the lady we spoke to didn’t tell us they were gonna be packed.(Not in an accusatory/blaming way, we get we should have asked if they took reservations) my mother was just surprised as we had never seen it super busy or anything. The owner(I think) comes over and asks if we have a reservation, my mom says no and the host tells her that we were told we didn’t need a reservation. The owner immediately goes«who told you you didn’t need a reservation?!» My mom told her no that the host must have misunderstood, we spoke to the other lady during the day and she was just saying we didn’t expect it to be so busy bc she didn’t mention they anticipated to be packed. The owner yells across that tiny place and across all of the people eating«–chef lady’s name– DIDYOUTELLTHESEPEOPLETHEYDIDNTNEED A RESERVATION?!». So now we have the whole dining area looking over at us, probably already writing us off as trouble customers, and my moms desperately trying to explain that no, we were not told we didn’t need a reservation and it wasn’t a big deal we were fine waiting for a bit. At this point me and my dad were done and at the door halfway out. where the rest of my family soon followed. The owner could have walked over to where the other lady was and asked her, instead of yelling across the place and putting us in that uncomfortable position. The place isn’t big, it wouldn’t have been a far trip for her to make. We really wanted to visit and try out the food, we go to the farmers market often and try to obtain local grass fed beef often as well. Would have loved to have a new place to go every Friday or Saturday night. After the way that woman acted we never tried to visit there again and most likely never will. I hope someone else opens a place like this with better service.

I woke up this morning thinking about the halibut taco I had yesterday. Now THAT’S a fish taco. My partner and I love to try new places to eat and I’ve looked at Farm to Fork a few times, but usually on Sunday when they aren’t open. The stars aligned yesterday and we were able to go. It was a little difficult to find at first, I’m not always that far north, and when I walked in, I was at first a bit disappointed. I like a restaurant with ambiance, which it doesn’t have. It’s a bit like Mighty Fine Burgers with wood tables and disposable utensils at the tables, but a little more upscale, some references to God, and Vets on the walls – that’s fine, just now a «wow». We also weren’t seated and were confused with what to do(so, in case you don’t know, which we didn’t) .you order at the check out podium from the large blackboard. Not a lot of descriptions about the food, found out later about menus with better descriptions, but trust me, the little tiny bit of confusing that we experienced, was completely eclipsed by the delicious food. The main chef(we think) took our order and we seated ourselves. Once again, the food came out without a lot of bluster, but the first bite was heaven. The taco was by far the best fish taco I have ever had, it had the nicest blend of flavors, onions, and mango and cabbage, I was full after the first taco, but it tasted so good I couldn’t stop eating it. My partner had a sirloin sandwich which she also drooled over. We ordered a corn side dish, don’t know what it was, but it was so delicious and she ordered the amazing mac and cheese, which, I thought was the least impressive dish, but still good It was so incredible, we’re headed back today. If you like to try fresh, interesting food, and don’t mind a rather blah environment, get there as fast as you can. Delicious! btw…my taco was $ 21. Pricey for a taco, but SO worth every penny.

We selected this restaurant because of all the great reviews and were expecting something better, much better than we got. We were a party of six mid-afternoon. I ordered a hamburger on a mixed green salad, expecting the chef could make that interesting. Surprise, it was exactly a hamburger on a salad, nothing more or less. My husband ordered the baked potato with the works, including thin-sliced beef tenderloin. The latter was so dry and tasteless, he had to fish it out of the potato. On the plus side, the service was excellent, the waitress checking with our table numerous times and solicitous. The beer selection was unusually good; alas, we were not drinking at that time of day, so couldn’t try the many selections. All in all, nothing like the positive reports of others.

This place is unique! I love their menu items. It’s super casual. I have been there for lunch twice. The jalapeño sweet potato soup is amazing. We also tried their turkey club sandwich, scrumptious! You will enjoy this place.

We have returned to Farm to Fork numerous times since we first discovered it last year. The food never disappoints. It is always superb in taste, usually locally sourced, with a varied menu that includes high quality every-day items. We have seen the restaurant grow from a largely take-out operation to wonderful place for a relaxed but extraordinary dinner. The restaurant is still small, so reservations would be advisable for evenings and weekends. Because the menu varies significantly, based on what foods are seasonal and available that day you might want to check ahead. Chef Shelley Pogue posts her menus on their Facebook page daily. However, the normal menu items such as the Triple Threat grilled cheese are always wonderful. Be sure to double check, since some popular items will sell out(I always reserve my crème brûlée or key lime pie at the beginning of the meal.

Simple yet outstanding. Had the moopig which has to be one of the best sarni’s I’ve eaten. Hats off to the crew here they put a lot of hard work into this place. After speaking with the chef it was clear this was very much a passion and loved what she did. Will be back… no doubt!

*update to Shelly 4/22/16* Shelly the phrase«i really wanted to like this place» means i had high expectations/hopes for it which were not delivered, in my opinion. Also, i did let the staff know i was disappointed by asking where the sausage was. Your waitress served me soup with one of two ingredients missing AND she didn’t bother to mention it to me. I had to dig through my soup to realize there is no sausage and catch her on it. Otherwise, i guess, she was hoping i wouldn’t notice. Yes, everyone is human and i am sure you and your staff work hard to please your customers, but that level of service should not be acceptable anywhere. Instead of being so defensive in your response please take the time to assess your waitstaff and how they handle situations. My review wasn’t a personal attack on you. I appreciate you care so much, but reading some of your responses they come off a bit angry/overly passionate. In other words, your response detered me further from coming back instead of wanting to give it a 2nd try. I am still rooting for this type of food/restaurant to thrive in Leander in hopes more like it will come. I just can’t support this particular business. Again, best of luck to you and your business going forward. I wish you all the best. I really wanted to like this place, but was disappointed overall. Being that it is the only farm to table place around i was really excited to go. The food wasn’t bad, but I don’t feel it was worth the price. That’s not my biggest issues with this place, though. Let’s start with the menu and specials. I tried to order an Austin East Cider, which was on the menu, but was informed they had a completely different one available. It wasn’t what i wanted but it was fine. Next, i ordered my meal. One of the daily specials was a grilled cheese with an Italian sausage and veggie soup. My wife tried to order the baked potato, but found out, while it was also on the menu, like the cider, it wasn’t available. So she ordered the tenderloin wrap. She was pleased with her meal. Nothing out of this world, but it was fresh food. The issue came with my food. While waiting on my meal, i noticed they erased the«sausage» from the«italian sausage veggie soup». I thought it was odd, but figured i must have got the last of it. When my soup arrived it had no sausage. I asked why and the server said the board had a mistake and they just noticed it… that was it. I sat their waiting for an apology or «would you like another side instead sir?», but that never came. Instead I got a reply of «Yeah that’s why it’s going to be taken off your bill.» I didn’t know what else to say at that point. I just shook my head, and the server left. If they could improve their service via upadated menus and better waitstaff I would likely give it a 4 out of 5. I doubt i will go back though. The service was poor enough to deter me from going back. Best of luck, and i hope your service improves over time.

Presentation– amazing, staff– more amazing, quality and price– creative and on par. Wine choices also amazing with Messina Hoff, maybe spelled that wrong lol. My ONLY issue was probably my own taste buds and quantity. I ordered the steak and tater and there was very little meat and the potato was super difficult to «fork» out of the skin. On a date, and starving, was not impressed. I came to the realization that there was some Cheese that tasted very bad inside the potato. Think the menu said Gorgonzola. Me no likey! Anyhow, I would definitely recommend this place and leave out anything from your dish your not sure about. All in all a great experience.

My husband and I, and our 9 month old baby, just had a late lunch at this lovely little gem of a restaurant in Leander. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed(we were there at 4:30 — 5:30. Not sure what it might be like with the dinner crowd). We both started with the soup of the day — a sweet potato soup with jalapeño and bacon — that we both thought was delicious. I followed that with the tenderloin salad, which was very fresh tasting and came with a respectable portion of tenderloin for a lunch salad. Even the black coconut iced tea was great — I had to take some to go! My husband had the moopig(meatloaf sandwich). He has very high sandwich expectations and, not kidding, he said it was one of the best sandwiches he’s ever had. I had a bite — it was friggin amazing. The staff was friendly and very attentive, with several«quality control visits» from who I assume was management. I appreciate the extra effort to make sure the customer is happy. My ONLY suggestion would be, if possible, to consider installing a changing table in the restroom. No parent in the history of EVER likes changing a baby on the floor of a public bathroom. Otherwise, though, we had a lovely time and enjoyed the food very much! We’ll definitely be back for more!

I like the concept and much of the food — but it wasn’t flawless. If Unilocal ever lets us give half stars, our first visit to F2 °F was 3.5 starts. My wife got the new york strip. It was delicious but a fairly tough. It chewed more like a sirloin. The bacon wrapped asparagus was also very tasty and she really enjoyed the potatoes. The seasoning on the steak was a bit sweet and I would typically go for more cracked pepper and kosher salt. I liked the choice to try four beers via flight and the pricing on the drafts is quite good. I ordered the moopig sandwich and it was probably the item I was least impressed with. It included ground beef, sausage and bacon but instead of stacking the meats on top of each other, they were all blended together in a patty. The bread and cheese were nice but I don’t see myself ordering that again. The amazing mac n cheese completely lives up to its name and it may have been the best thing on the table! Although they were packed — the noise level was manageable.

Well, I was convinced to go again. And I had hopes! Maybe they read my last review. Maybe things have gotten better. Maybe… WRONG. Long wait, especially for a Wednesday night. Cold and bland burgers, sandwiches and corn casserole. Wrong sandwich brought out(which to their credit was remade on the double). They sent a guy to our table with food who just stood there, openly stated that he didn’t know what anything was, and asked what we all ordered. We observed other tables having issues also. Pros — the chef wasn’t yelling at anyone in the kitchen this time, and no one was sent to HEB to get bread. Cons — need I say more?

I am at a loss to understand how this place rates as an «Organic Restaurant» when the only thing it serves that is «certified organic» is the beef. At just before 5:00pm today. I missed it the first time(it’s name is not on the Marquee), and after looking at the map, we found it in the same shopping center as Cherry Creek Catfish and Smoky Mo’s; the place was deserted(i.e., no customers) We went inside, and looked at the huge(size wise) menu written on the wall on the side of the building. The words«Organic» and/or «GMO-free» are nowhere to be found. So I had to ask. «Is everything organic or Non-GMO?» The response from the hostess was to direct me to the owner? A woman sitting at the counter/bar doing paperwork. I asked again, «Is anything Organic?» It’s bad enough when your own hostess can’t answer a simple question. But if the owner has to be bothered, you’ll get a rather curt answer. «The bread is not organic, the cheese is not organic.» I asked«What *is* Organic? „The beef is certified organic; we got some last week, blah blah blah“. Then the owner said „I can’t think of any restaurant that’s 100% Organic“. I can! Chipotle is 100% organic/GMO-free;(not the drinks, just the food). But if you want to sit down for a casual or fine GMO-free meal, eateries that immediately come to mind include Chipotle, Svantes and Blue Corn Harvest. It’s not hard to find Non-GMO bread, cheese and even meat in the Leander/Cedar Park/Round Rock areas. Costco sells Non-GMO bread and cheese and if you don’t want to buy a membership, HEB Plus in Leander has a decent selection of Organic Meats and Cheeses as does Natural Grocers and Target. Why doesn’t Farm to Fork use Non-GMO/Organic bread or cheese? Natural Grocer carries all kinds of organic/non-GMO produce, cheese, bread, etc. Did the person who enjoyed the „organic PB&J“ know the bread and cheese was not GMO-Free or organic? If the only certified organic food at Farm to Fork is the beef, what makes it any different than any other restaurant of the same size or type? Anybody can get organic produce at any HEB or Natural Grocers. Target has a not too bad selection and Natural Grocer also carries Non-GMO breads, Cheeses, produce, etc. Cass K., said the ambience was great but she didn’t like the food. We’ve been Non-GMO /Organic for a well over a year now; ever since watching GMO/OMG! Shayda T thought the „best ingredients“ would make her sister feel better about eating a grilled cheese sandwich?» I’m guessing Shayda’s sister had no idea that neither the bread nor the cheese were GMO-Free/Organic, Amanda F didn’t like the food and seems to have been under the impression the food is organic«for a restaurant that boasts it’s organic foods and local finds…» FARMTOFORKISNOTORGANIC! Not their bread, not their cheese, who knows what else. And nobody who’s reviewed it seems to like the food. Farm to Fork was disappointing on so many levels, but mostly because it’s so easy to get organic bread and cheese. They shouldn’t advertise as being anything more than«healthy to a point». We decided not to eat there because the stuff that looked good came on bread that isn’t. We’re strictly Non-GMO/Organic and Farm to Fork isn’t. Nuff said.

Farm to Fork specializes in elevated comfort food, made with the best ingredients. So my sister can feel better about eating the cobb salad, and I can enjoy a delicious bacon grilled cheese sandwich. Once inside you’ll be taken to afternoons spent at your grandmas house. Big wooden tables and chairs for seating. Quirky art hung all around. And the intimate feel when you’re getting ready to eat some really good food from good people. «Dine with Shayda reviews Farm to Fork — a new American restaurant with a focus on farm to table ingredients that are simple, organic and locally grown.»

I really like what Farm to Fork is doing with selecting local and seasonal ingredients. All of the staff were very kind and interested in our comfort and enjoyment of the food. I’d like to give 4 stars for what they are trying to do, but I wasn’t as happy with the food here as other places that I’ve given 4 stars, so unfortunately only a 3 for Farm to Fork. He had a brunch special from the board. Beef Tenderloin + Duck Egg Omelet which had ground beef tenderloin, local duck eggs, swiss chard, caramelized onions, cheese, texas wild mushrooms served on organic potato hash. This was good, but the amount of ground black pepper overwhelmed an otherwise decent dish. The best part of this dish was the potato hash. Finely cubed white and sweet potatoes were very well seasoned and the small even cubes were an impressive for their small and consistent size. I had the cobb salad, which is described on the menu as: organic grilled chicken breast large diced on a bed of mixed baby greens with organic carrots and purple cabbage, organic chopped hard boiled eggs, chopped Wright’s hickory smoked bacon, served with pecan oil, local honey vinaigrette. Something about«large diced chicken breast» had me thinking of a freshly cooked chicken breast that has been roasted or cooked and then chopped into cubes for the salad. However the chicken was more the consistency of sliced deli meat. It was still definitely whole chicken breast, but something about sliced deli meat style is less appealing to me than a cooked chicken breast that is then chopped into chunks. The remaining salad was bland. Bacon was more chewy than crispy. I improved the taste and texture of the salad by adding in a few spoonfuls of the potato hash from the omelet plate. I truly appreciate an option in Leander that serves quality local food instead of the typical chains.

Many of our friends told us this was a 5-star place. They will remain our friends… because they did not lie! FANTASTIC food! Truly _FRESH_and prepared and presented in superb manner! The standard menu is great but they also have unique specials every week depending on what’s available from the«Farm». All sorts of interesting options such as Chilean Sea Bass for example. Who knows what will be available when you go! The place is quite small so if you’re going to go during prime-time, expect a bit of a wait. I would strongly suggest going outside of prime hours on the weekends. And sit close to the kitchen if you can… even at the bar that faces into the kitchen. The banter going on in there is very entertaining but made it clear that they take their food and their Customer’s satisfaction very seriously. It was quite a bit of fun listening in as they prepared everything.

My husband and I came in here after hearing a decent review from a friend. I have had Farm to Fork bookmarked on Unilocal for a while and decided it was finally time to give them a try. When we came in, we noticed that it was very nicely decorated — greenish rustic looking farm tables and mason jar lighting. Farm accents, and fresh farm flowers on every table. Really, really reminiscent of Greenhouse Craft Foods in Round Rock. There was a girl behind the register, and a nice lady who appeared to be one of the owners that came up to us and greeted us very nicely. She explained the specials, made recommendations and made us feel comfortable and welcome. My husband tried the Reuben as well as the tomato basil soup. He said that both were decent. The Reuben, he said, was a little dense due to the rye being pressed like a panini, giving it the consistency of thin crust pizza, which he felt was a little odd. He said that the flavors were a little muted, but over all it was a decent Reuben. The tomato basil soup had excellent flavors, but really was more of a marinara than a soup. He’s actually having the rest over pasta this evening for dinner. I ordered the cobb salad and it was not only beautiful, but plentiful, fresh and pretty excellent. Two different types of whole cherry tomatoes,(red and yellow) as well as a healthy amount of feta, turkey, and bacon. The spring mix lettuce was very fresh and didn’t have any sourness to it, as sometimes spring mix lettuce can. I had their house ranch with it — it had fantastic garlic notes and was wonderfully creamy. The girl who had been at the register got us boxes and was very polite. The lady who had initially greeted us was also very nice, checking on us during our meal to make sure everything was good. I’d like to come back for dinner sometime — I noticed that they have salmon on the menu. Farm to Fork was pretty good, so four stars it is!
