Pizza was delicious. The wings were decent, but this is a pizza place. Customer service was also good.

This used to be one of our favorite places but it’s been a while since we’ve been here and it feels like a different place. Everyone working here are all very nice but looks sloppy and not very clean. The tomato basil soup, a favorite, was super thick and unpleasant looking. The cupcakes in the display look as if they came from Walmart(ring top and all)! I wouldn’t return anytime soon. Super disappointing!

Don’t bother to try and eat here. A Tuesday night and plenty of available tables. Got seated and waited, waited some more, wait staff kept walking past me. More concerned with cleaning the few dirty tables than my order. After 15 minutes and no acknowledgement of me, I walked out. They did not even ask for a drink order or even really care I was there. Major mistake, I was looking forward to a couple of beers, dinner, and dessert after a good day. Congratulations, Russo’s NY Pizzeria, your New York attitude pissed off this Texan. FYI, you need to at least have some customer service. Got better service when I was in New York City!

Food is very very good and even though in the beginning there was some misunderstanding in price they compensated us in there own way.

Fantastic pizza! They serve beer and wine, nice clean place. The guy who took our order was pretty funny. Would highly recommend! Will definitely be back.

It’s mediocre. The mozzerella sticks had a bland breading, the cheese exceptionally dense processed rubber fingers. It is certainly the worst mozzerella sticks I’ve had. Good ones with real mozzerella have a nicre breaking carapace and runny melted mozzerella inside. These were like cold string cheese sticks. The Calabreza pizza I ordered came with kale, which really didn’t add much to a rough attempt at a Calabreza in the first place. The pizza was far better cold the following day, which is pretty unusual. They have a happy hour that includes ½ price appetizers and wine. I was here Sept 2013 and Dec 2015. It will be at least 2 years before I’d go again. I’d love some real New York style pizza nearby. This isn’t it.

I enjoy coming to this restaurant the price is good for the amount of food you get. The pizza and soups are very good. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly.

Just OK. It’s a little bit confusing during the ordering process. Stromboli was pretty good. The giant cheese slices are sort of bland. Beer could be colder.

Event Occurred on Thursday, 10/06/2015 around 5:15pm, female employee answered the phone. Nothing worse then calling a restaurant to place a order and the phone gets answered with«please hold», boom… places you on hold. Pretty much the sound as if someone hangs up on you midway. Who answers a business phone like that? Whatever happen to «thank you for calling Russo’s New York Pizzeria, can you please hold?» — «yes» — «thank you»…it takes an additional 4 seconds to show some BASIC manners to your customers, not to mention BASIC business phone etiquette. The 4 seconds you saved lost you $ 50-$ 60 worth of an order. Friends and family decided to go elsewhere. Hope this gets around to the staff. As a business owner, I know some customers expect you to roll out the red carpet and some days its tough working with the general public, but please revisit your phone etiquette with your staff Russo’s. Thanks!

We have been coming here for a few years now. Definitely our go to spot. I have never had a bad meal here. Their calzones are AMAZING!

This review is for the calzones only, as I have never had pizza from here. That’s not because the pizza doesn’t look good, but because the calzones are the best I have ever had in my entire life! All of the toppings seem fresh, and not like they come from a can. These calzones are huge. I always get 2 meals from them. They have very unique toppings as well, like fresh chicken, prosciutto, capers, garlic, portobello mushrooms. The restaurant is a little weird, as you take a seat and go to the register to order when ready, but I like that. I like getting served when I want and not having to wait. This place is not large so it is not an inconvenience to walk the, at most, 30 feet to the front. If you order a beer, I have noticed, there is usually someone who comes to your table to see if you want another.

Every time my family and I go we get good food, good service, and good atmosphere for a very reasonable price. In and out for 25 at lunch. Can’t beat it! Best pizza in Houston — Galveston.

Friendly staff, great service! Called John for a table reservation for 10 and we were accommodated right away. We ordered pasta di mare(pasta with seafood and spicy marinara sauce and it was delish!) The calzones were yummy and the pizza slice were humongous! Everything was great! Will definitely be back soon!

Very good pizza! Sauce is just a tiny bit on the sweet side, but otherwise, it’s almost like I’m back in New Jersey stopping by my favorite pizza place. First off, the slices are huge. Like really big. The crust is just the right thickness, the mozzarella is excellent and the sauce is almost perfect. I tend to stick to pepperoni and extra cheese, I usually also get sausage at other places but they shred their sausage here instead of slicing. The atmosphere is good, trying for something a few steps above a pizzeria, decent«New York» style memorabilia on the walls, the booths are comfortable. It’s a little pricier than you might expect to pay for pizza, but like I said, the slices are huge and really good. I’ve also tried some of their desserts and those are really huge, too. Expect to pay about $ 7, but for the size and taste, worth it. All in all, a good deal but if you order more than one slice for yourself, you better be hungry.

We have gone to the League City location several times and have always had a great experience. The fried mozzarella is perfectly done and the marinara sauce is delicious, not just tomato sauce. We have tried several of their specialty pizzas and they’ve all been good. Last night we had the New York special and it was so good! A large is enough to feed a family of four. We will definitely be back, again and again.

We really enjoyed this place! We normally go to Bada Bing but decided to try something new … Great service and food was awesome. Salads are very fresh, good wine, and the individual slices of pizza were just perfect. We will definitely be back for more!

You know how Texans kind of take Mexican food for granted until they travel North and find out what crap passes for Mexican food there? That’s how I feel about Russo’s, having grown up near NYC. Yes the crust is thin, but that’s about the only thing in common with real NY pizza. The crust was closer in flavor and texture to Boboli you can buy in the store. The bottom of the crust should snap when you bite it, the top of the crust should have a spring to it, and it should have a smoky flavor. I got none of that, plus we had to wait 45 minutes for the pizza even though the restaurant wasn’t even one third full. The extra star goes for the toppings, which were fresh and tasty. I was really hoping this place was going to bring back those childhood memories of the hole-in-the-wall pizza joints I grew up with. If you’re going to bill yourself as a NY pizzeria, serve us some NY style crust, capisce?
