We got there at 11:02 and waited about 15 mins when I noticed the hostess giving lunch menus. I asked if they had stopped serving breakfast and she said if we had put our names on the list 2 minutes earlier we would have been able to get breakfast! Considering it took the host 5 minutes to even take our names!’ We left! Seriously, 2 minutes!!! After hearing wonderful reviews we were highly disappointed!

I’m really questioning why I keep coming here. Great breakfast but service is horrible. Wait staff is clueless on how to serve you in a restaurant They need to get act together and serve pancakes all day 45 min for 2 pancakes and bacon

Arrived right before noon on a Thursday and seated right away. In 15 min people were waiting the door for a seat. The place exploded with groups and couples. When I left at 1 it was the same way. Service and the food were excellent and well worth the drive from Clear Lake. Tortilla soup was very good and a bit spicy. The P cheese was very good but I’d rather have a sharp cheese. The Kings ranch was excellent. They serve Katz coffee so that and the fresh brewed tea hit the spot. My friend got the very tasty pecan coconut pie. Will go back.

Food is good. Just over priced. Be prepared to spend about $ 50 for a family of 4.

If you haven’t tried it… stop what your doing and go now! It’s seriously the best breakfast in town. Halfway through my meal I actually said ‘I’m full but I don’t think I can stop until all of the foods gone’! YUMMY!

This is the best breakfast place around. I have been twice and the first time I had a Mexican breakfast dish that had a blue corn tortilla and fried egg and was topped with salsa. I will post a picture of the second thing I had, which was yummy toast topped with egg, roasted tomatoes, and avacados. Seriously, go to this place. I would suggest going on a weekday because going on a weekend morning is like an hour and a half process.

The food was excellent, so don’t let that ruin your opinion of the place because of the service. We loved out waitress and the attractive owner was very nice, but it did take us over 30 minute to get our food because of the kitchen transitioning over from breakfast to lunch. When our food did arrive my moms soup was cold, but they were super nice about it and brought her a hot cup. I had a BBQ wrap, and potato soup. It was too much food for one person, I should have just ordered one or the other. The portions are a good size. My mom had the chicken salad and tomato soup. She loved the chicken salad sandwich and the soup was different from what she expected but she loved that it wasn’t a cream based soup as tomato soup can sometimes be. We also got banana pudding for dessert and my mom loved it! She loves banana pudding. I am not a fan. I would definitely come back.

Yet another wonderful addition to the League City/Friendswood area. For the longest this area has been lacking quality(non-chain) restaurants. This place fits in perfectly and feels like it has been there for decades. Seating availability and wait time are not an issue here. This is one place that I would gladly wait for a table without batting an eye. The way I see it is no line = people no likey. I am selfishly glad that this place has a constant flow of customers. I truly hope this place will be here for decades to come. I’m not that big of a fan of flavored coffee, but their pecan coffee is the exception. Bursting with flavor it is almost a shame to ruin it with any cream or sugar. Of the two times that I have dined here I have ordered the kitchen sink quesadilla. I cannot bring myself to order anything else, this is the perfect dish for me. This dish has everything you could ask for in a breakfast burrito/wrap/quesadilla. Your choice of meat can add a little variety to your quesadilla. I have also tired a bite of the biscuits and gravy, very hearty and the epitome of country cooking. So bottomline up front– if you haven’t been there before– go, if you have, well I don’t have to convince you to return again.

I have now eaten here several times, ordered something new each time. Friendly service, fresh innovative foot and nice atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing. Absolutely need to extend breakfast hours on the weekend.

This place is excellent. I’ve even been twice in one day. We finally have a great restaurant in this neighborhood. All the wait staff are very nice, helpful and attentive. The food is fresh and original. I would describe it as a home cooking bistro that is here to stay. It’s a place you could take your mom and her friends or have a meeting with a client. This is a weekly spot for for me and my friends in the neighorhood.

Had the pleasure to eat here a few times and the food was pretty good. I wasn’t a fan of the breakfast, but rather like the lunch menu. The staff is very friendly & customer service was great). Only con is service can be a little slow, some staff can’t multi-task & seem to have a one track mind. This place has potential & I will be back for sure because I’m a fan of supporting my local small business owners.

Went in at 8:30pm. They were very nice even though they were going to close in 30 minutes. Waitress was so sweet and nice. The food was so good and fresh. The best guacamole. The banana pudding was the best I have had in a long time. Great place!

Super cute place and super yummy food! As a League City resident and Realtor/business owner, I feel it’s important to support our local economy by supporting our business owners! I will admit, I was leary after reading some of the initial reviews, but a friend of ours ate here and said it was great! Being bored with the same old, same old, I suggested to the hubs that we give it a go! I am so glad we did! Our waitress was Kim and she was so helpful and pleasant! She brought out some seasoned crackers for starters, they were so tasty and had a little bit of a kick to them! YUM! I ordered the chipotle chicken wrap with the chipotle mayo on the side and a cup of the tortilla soup. Wow! The wrap was loaded with turkey and veggies and was so tasty! The tortilla soup was also yummy! I think overall, we were only in there about 45 min to an hour from start to finish! I was pleasantly surprised at how fast everything was, especially given that they had a steady flow of people in & out. We will definitely be back again! I am looking forward to trying breakfast and am so happy to have a great choice just minutes from my house!

I’m so excited that we have a place like this right around the corner from us. When you walk in it feels like such a family environment with a cool décor theme that’s a mix between industrial and country. All the staff was welcoming and we got a table right away for lunch. Since this was our first time our waiter was very informative about every part of the menu. The menu is the perfect size. Not too many choices but not an underwhelming amount of selection. I ended up ordering the Palo power salad and my hubby ordered the chicken pot pie. Before our meal came out we munched on the seasoned saltine crackers that they give every guest. They were soooo good! The Palo power salad is a bowl of kale and rice with a few other veggies in it tossed in an Asian dressing. It was amazing! I wish I took a pic but I was so hungry I dove in without worrying about taking a pic. The chicken pot pie my hubby ordered was perfectly seasoned and came with a side salad. We ordered the homemade lemon cake to end our meal and O Em G. It was the Bomb! Ugh so good! We can’t wait to visit this place again maybe for breakfast next time because I heard that stuff was amazing too!

Service was prompt, and food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Food was adequate, not great. I got the pulled-pork sliders, which were a bit dry and a little tough(not sure how they managed that with pulled-pork), but otherwise okay. I also got a cup of the tomato basil soup, which basically tasted like chunky tomato soup — I couldn’t detect the basil(though my wife claimed she could). My wife got got a panini, which she said was okay. The atmosphere of the place is oddly industrial for a café, with a sealed concrete floor and high black ceiling and glaring unshielded light bulbs, plus lots of dark wood. Seating is mostly two-person tables and booths, with a big communal table in the center. It was quiet when I was there(Thursday evening), which I appreciated — and a nice contrast to the noisy Mexican restaurant next door. I found the a bible quote painted on one wall in 12 – 18 inch high letters rather offensive — religion is a personal matter, and has no place in a commercial establishment. Overall it’s a solid 3-star experience, not particularly bad or great. I’ll probably go back occasionally just because it is convenient to my neighborhood.

We had breakfast at the Red Oak Café. This is their second week open and business seemed to be booming. We had personal attentive service. Beautiful country feeling inside. The owner’s attention to detail and quality was evident in both the setting and food. Had the Kitchen Sink Quesadilla which was AMAZING. Though I’m not usually a fan of grits, the Jalapeño Cheddar Grits were flavorful without being to spicy. The portions were good-sized, and we will definitely come back for the other fare on the menu.
