The Customer Service here has gone majorly downhill! I have been a loyal customer of Kroger and have been shopping at this store for easily 15 + years. NO customer should be required to be the cashier and sacker in these self check outs for more than 10 – 15 items. If you can not open a check stand to provide customer service to customers with baskets full of groceries do not remain open after 10 or 11 pm or offer your customers a discount for doing the work for you by being the cashier, sacker and customer! A woman had a grocery cart full of groceries and had to use self scan while two employees stood behind the little podium chatting neither offering to open a normal register or at a minimum going over there to help her or any of us for that matter. When I asked for a comment card they had no idea what I was talking about or the managers name which they did not know how to spell, come on Kroger managers familiarize your employees with who you are. There is a new Walmart Neighborhood Center that has just opened minutes from this Kroger that has an available cashier at a normal check stand 24⁄7 my next grocery store visit will be there. I get this can be a thankless job and VERY hard work but it should not mean the customer should not get basic common courtesy and customer service from the available employees in every way they can offer.

I have a problem with the head of the Pharmacy Vivian. We moved here in August and I am on a ton of medications. At first she was kind and cordial and nothing was a problem. Then suddenly one day I went to pick up a script and it was like invasion of the body snatchers, she was a totally different person, rude, standoffish like we had never met. After that anytime I needed a refill it was a problem, I brought it in too soon, not soon enough, anything she could say to keep me from getting my prescriptions. She kept trying to force my doctor to raise the dosage on one particular drug which neither he nor I wanted to do. I had a near fatal seizure in January and spent 4 days on life support, she was 100% aware of this, yet she refused to fill my seizure meds because it was 1 day early(I cannot drive and had an opportunity for someone to pick it up) I explained to her the danger of me not taking that medication and she flatly told me that«it was not her problem». Now she has taken it upon herself to commit libel against me by calling other pharmacies and telling them complete lies. She has lied to my doctors and come up with ridiculous stories that are patently untrue. I am in the process of transferring to another pharmacy with better prices and less drama. Vivian seems to wish she were herself a doctor and that’s great, go to Medical School and become one. Otherwise let the professionals do their jobs and she should do hers. If I hear one more slanderous comment that has come from her mouth, I have an attorney on retainer and will be filing a lawsuit against her and Kroeger itself. VIVIANNEEDSTOGO!!!

If I could give them no star’s I would. The guy at the self check out is always flirting with the girls in the booth so he’s never around to help you when the light goes off. One day an older lady came in and was in a wheel chair. She asked me to get something off the top shelf for her. I did. I then found the guy at the shelf check out and asked him if he could get a sacker or someone to walk with her to help her. He looked at me and said«why»? I guess you were not raised with manners. If not, get out of this job field and go find another one. This is the type of job you picked! If you want to flirt with women become a lifeguard! I asked him to tell his manager so they could get help for this lady. I finally found the manager and asked him if they could help this lady and I asked if the kid over in the self check out called him over the radio and he told me he didn’t. He noted that the lady was in the check out already and he walked away from me. Really… When I was a kid and worked at a Kroger’s we knew how to take care of our customers. If not, our managers would get on you. Now a days it’s just goof off city at the local store!!! Please check the cold section before you walk off. A couple of times I got milk that was spoiled. Talk about a shock of a life time when you pour the milk and drink it. This has happened to me more than once. PLEASE Check the dates on your Dairy products before leaving the store!!! This is a MUST at this store. This is the only store that this has happened.

Worst customer service and lots of expired food! I have special ordered cat food at this location many times over the last year. Each time I have had to return to the store multiple times to remind them of my order before it finally got placed. Most recently I have made my request three times over the last month. Each time the one person in the entire store who could help with my request has not been working. The girl who«helped» me(some lower level manager I assume) said she sent him an email each time I asked. When I followed up with her, she just sent another email. No follow through, no follow up, no elevation that it wasn’t getting handled. Over the last year I have purchased expired pepper jack cheese, cheese cake, frozen pizzas, and more at this location. First, I found some cheese I had bought had expired more than 6 months prior. I returned to the store to get more and noticed half a dozen more expired packages on the shelf. I notified the manager on duty and the next week when I was in the store there was still expired cheese on the shelf. I had the same experience with the same manager and a sara lee cheese cake a few months later. The day I returned my expired cheese cake, I also was buying a frozen pizza(this time checking the date before leaving the store) and it too was expired. I shared all of this information with the manager on duty and she could not have been more apathetic. No apologies, no guarantees to do better, no promise to have someone check and remove expired stock, nothing! I look forward to the new neighborhood Walmart so I never have to set foot in this store again.

We shop at this location for the convenience. We live close so we end up here by default. This particular Kroger is in one of the oldest strip centers in League City. With that, they also recently remodeled and made this location a «Signature Kroger.» The remodel helped but this is still a very basic Kroger. They do have some items that I can’t seem to find at other chain stores. I find their meat department selections to be limited. Their produce looks ok but just simply doesn’t have the«fresh to impress» factor to it. They could stand to clear the parking lot of baskets more often. I’ve been there before when I’ve seen what seemed to be 100 baskets in the parking lot and yet limited carts in the store. They are building a Kroger Marketplace even closer to our house so I imagine my shopping days here are limited. TIP: They do not have a gas station at this location. You can accumulate fuel points here but can’t use them here.

I was turned away at the Pharmacy because of a prescription that was written by the VA clinic… really? Way to go Krogers. Now you’re turning away Veterans who need their medications just because they’re veterans. Fix this Policy, what the H is wrong with you. I’d give you less than one star if it was an option. 6 combat tours and this is how we are repaid

I don’t recommend this Krogers to do your major grocery shopping. Don’t ever go on a Saturday night at 9:00pm. They always leave 1 poor little cashier to do Everything! I recommend their pharmacy. They are pretty friendly & fast.

DONOT order a wedding cake from this Kroger bakery. I looked through the book and found the Treasure cake; a triple layer cake with chocolate fondent icing and pretty detailing going down all four sides. When I picked up the cake the day of my wedding I opened the box and was pretty much shocked at what I saw. It was NOTHING like the picture in the book because it was iced by hand. The bakery personnel told me at that time that they didn’t carry fondent an had to hand ice the cake. The detailing was not even straight. It was so sloppy and it couldn’t compare to the picture. I can’t even explain my disappointment when I cut into the cake it was yellow when I had ordered chocolate on chocolate. I had called earlier that week to check and make sure everything was coming along and I was assured my cake would be ready. I expected to get the cake in the picture which I paid nearly 200 bucks for but was not disappointed once but twice. I will never again be burned by ordering a formal cake from a grocery store. They are better at making cupcake cakes.

This store is just o-kay … their selection is hit or miss … they oftentimes do not have Laura’s all natural beef(4% fat) stocked and it’s pretty annoying. Their organic fruit section is really lame. And they don’t stock Horizon brand organic Colby string cheese. The employees have the personality of a slug and the kids that sack the groceries need to get some serious training in that area, too.
