Kim and kelly were both amazing! I’m pretty particular about my fill ins and find a lot of nail techs have trouble doing a good shape but these are perfect. I had been looking for a new nail salon and will definitely be coming back. The pedicure was great as well.

I’m actually sitting in the salon as I type. I’ve been here since 5:50 pm. For a acrylic fill in and repair on a couple nails. My nails are natural so I’m just getting overlays done. I’ve asked my tech to keep my natural shape but she’s decided to make them round. I told her I didn’t want that but it’s fine because it’s already been started on one nail. I take a look at my shape and it’s literally crooked. My nail beds look like they shifted sideways. I told my tech that, and she started to fix it. But it got worse. At one point I had asked her to stop & let me file it. She refused to let me do it myself. It gets shorter and shorter because she couldn’t get it straight… It kept becoming crooked and now my long natural nails are nearly nubs. No way did I plan for my nails to be skin short by the time I left the shop but it’s about that length now. We literally took an hour just on filing and shaping. Then another hour to paint, but she only put on one coat of gel and went to do someone else’s pedicure. Helen, I believe is some manager or boss there. But I started to tell her what I wasn’t satisfied with. Especially how short my nails had become. No way to reverse the lost length because it’s my natural nail. But she wouldn’t let me finish speaking. Starts talking in viet to the girl who was doing my nails, Katie, I believe. And then the tech who did my nails two weeks ago chimes in in viet as well and they’re just having their own discussion. Leaving me hanging while I’m trying to explain that it’s not the shape I’m having an issue with. It WAS one of the issues because I just wanted a natural straight shape but she started to turn them into coffin shape after the rounds she messed up on. Then the other techs start telling me they my tech, Katie, worked so hard in shaping my nails bc my length is so short. Like hello??? They were literally claws when I walked in an hour ago. Now they’re numbs! Then Helen starts telling me that I couldn’t achieve natural straight shape because I had short coffin nails to begin with. They clearly do not understand that I had came in with long natural shaped nails. So when we cut it down, it was straight until Katie messed them up. I just felt attacked by all of the techs who had Katie’s back, throwing blame on my nails when I’m not even the one who asked for her to «work so hard» on shaping them. I never asked for coffin nails nor did I ever want my nails this short. I ended up just being disregarded by everyone and they just left the length and shape as is and said«you keep it now and next time we fix it for you». Wow. Thanks. Never coming back. I’ve been there twice and won’t make a third trip. Horrible service. Horrible techs. Thanks for two hours of my time being wasted and ugly looking nails that are all different lengths and shapes. Oh, and another smart mouth tech says to me «she work so hard but you no satisfy? Why?» Lol. Okay.

I’ve gone to Era Nails 5 or 6 times this year. Every time I leave my nails look great. I only get gel manicures and they do a great job. The color is opaque and the finish is glossy. They last 2 – 3 weeks, no chips or issues of that sort. Era would get 5 stars if the overall experience was on par with my nails. The experience has been hit or miss. Sometimes they’re fast, sometimes they’re slow. Sometimes they’re nice, sometimes they’re rude. Sometimes they’re focused, other times, they answer their cell phones or even walk away in the middle of the appointment to do some paperwork or something. Often they ask me to take a seat but then screw around for 5 minutes or so before they finally decide to get started. I also question the cleanliness just a little. I came in on a busy day and sat down at a station with the same towel laid out from the previous customer, nail clippings and shavings. Gross. I always feel like the stations need a good wipe down, some sanitation. So I always love my nails when I leave, but the experience is more often unpleasant.

I’ve been going to the same place for 8+years but they’ve moved and I needed to find a new salon. Well I have, era nails is a great place and I’ve been VERY happy with their work.

I would recommend making a reservation before coming… weekdays are best! Helen does my hands/nails and Uni pampers my feet/toes! I absolutely love this place. I will not go anywhere else to get my nails done!!! I have been searching for a place that would do my nails EXACTLY like I want them and this IS that place! LOVE!

My mom and I have been going to Helen for years. We are always very pleased with the results. I got acrylic pink and white in February and I just took them off today. Almost two months later! No cracking or chipping, they still looked great!

Wow, I came here because this salon is by far the best that I have been to in gwinnett, and I’m surprised by the reviews left here. Before I get to my own review of this place I want to leave responses to the previous two reviews because they are just ridiculous. Reviewer KL: MAYBE there Is a long wait and tons of phone calls because they are good? People like them. Reviewer KN: I can’t say anything about how long they took, the yelling, and bleeding. The only thing I wanted to get straight is that nearly all nail salons charge extra to take off gel and to get French tips. Why? It’s called«it’s more time consuming and more work on their end». OTHER nail salons that I’ve been to charges $ 5 for gel take off and another $ 5 for French, so don’t be that cheap. Anyway, on to my review. I actually like this place. When I go to a nail salon, I go for a few reasons: I want my cuticles very clean, I want a nice, long, massage, and I occasionally get ingrown nails from wearing flats all the time. This place is the only place that I’ve found in gwinnett, who covers all that greatly. There is no rush job that you get in most nail salons, and they are all very sweet. I tried pretty much all of them, but the only girl that I wouldn’t want to have my pedicure done by is the super young girl(I have no idea what her name is, but she is the youngest one). I watched her do my sister and friend’s pedicures, and it wasn’t anything special. The others are very good at cutting cuticles. I like to have mine cut very cleanly, and this place takes care of it! Honestly, I think that if you can’t cut cuticles, then might as well just opt for a «polish change», so that is a definite plus! I like to get the $ 30 pedicure, and the massage they give is longg and amazing. This place is the only place I trust them with my annoying ingrown nail. Seriously. The color selection is pretty good, but I think it would be better if they added more to it. Not bad though! As for time: I call and make appointments, so generally I don’t have to wait much once I get there. The actual service takes about 45 minutes to an hour for a pedicure; much better than the super quick –20 min– barely touched anything pedicures you receive at other salons!

My nail tech, Vivian, did a good job, but her co-worker that did a pedicure and gel nail on my sister did a poor job. Not only was the tech rude, sloppy, and bled my sister, but she was practically yelling at her when sis tried to explain that it was uneven. Have you ever seen the Youtube video of Nail Salons by Angelah Johnson? My sister experienced the same exact thing. Her tech was trying to blame her that it was her crooked nail/finger that made the polish the way it is. LMBO!!! In addition, why would you pay $ 4 extra just for them to put acetone on your finger to take off gel nails and $ 3 extra for a french manicure when we’re already paying for the gel polish? Hammond Nails does a splendid job with gel nails and they do not break up prices the way Era Nails do. In addition, have you ever heard of being in a nail salon for 1 ½ hours just for a manicure? Ludicrous I’m telling you.
