Not a fan, pricey, poor customer service and honesty not that good. The food was okay, don’t get that wrong. I may consider returning but very unlikely based on the poor service…

Stopped in here during a business meeting. There was about 10 of us. The service was great, waitress was very friendly and polite. The food… ehh. I ordered a turkey club. It was just a basic couple slices of turkey, lettuce, and a slice of cheese. And a few strips of bacon. It had the typical 3rd slice of bread in the middle, which I never understood. It really isn’t needed. Especially this time, it made of most of the sandwich. The other members of the group said they enjoyed their lunches and they did look good. Perhaps I made a wrong choice that day. Since I will be returning in the future for a business trip I will give them another chance and review again then.

Service was friendly and attentive. Their house burger was very good and the club sandwich was loaded with meat. I doubt I’d go here to order off the entrée menu, but the sandwiches were good and the river view is great!

Food: 3 stars Service: 4 stars Atmosphere: 4 stars Convenience: 5 stars Overall it’s worth it to eat here. Hotels are often incredibly overpriced and yet the Levee had very reasonable prices on sandwiches and most menu items. Restaurant was very clean and modern. Patio was absolutely perfect with super view of the Ohio River and reflected the town. A river town with factories lacing the shoreline. The picture you see of the outside I took the next morning. The veranda faces east so the evening meal is shaded perfectly. Service was great. If you’re staying at the DoubleTree it’s absolutely worth it. I had one surprise that was hard to overcome: I ordered the Atlantic Salmon and the filet was crazy small. Maybe 5oz. And for what you pay, it was truly sad and very frustrating. And it wasn’t good Salmon either. Which made it worse. Asparagus was great. Thai seasoned potato wedges were good. My wife had the Reuben and said it was ok at best. Fries were great. So if you go it’s worth it to sit by the river. I’ve had far better food and I’ve had far worse.

Great spot for some quick bar food and cold beers. The hot chicken wings were amazing followed by ice cold suds. The view over looking the Ohio River was beautiful.

The Levee Bar and Grill is the restaurant that faces the river in the new(as of December 2014) Doubletree Hotel in Lawrenceburg. I normally don’t expect much from hotel restaurants, but this is a pleasant exception. The setting is minimalist without being stark, and very clean. Our server was very pleasant and eager. The choices are not extensive, but there is a nice variety of sandwich options. My wife had the house burger, a large Angus patty on a nice bun, topped with cheddar jack cheese, crisp bacon, red onion, and tomato cooked to her desired medium. Instead of the fries, she had a nice side salad. There are four entrées, chicken Parmesan, herb crusted fresh salmon, a 7 ounce filet, and a 12 ounce strip steak. I had the strip, nice and tender, cooked perfectly to my requested medium rare(warm red center). I had the bearnaise sauce, plus the choice of 2 sides. Lobster and thyme white cheddar Mac and cheese had a bechamel that was not too thick or too thin, with(wonder of wonders) Marcaroni cooked just right. I would have liked just a little more thyme to perfume the Mac and cheese a bit more(hey, I’d like black truffles too, and more lobster, but you can’t have everything). The bearnaise was good, although a bit overdosed by too heavy a hand with the lemon juice. The second side was grilled asparagus, again done to the correct degree, topped with shavings of Romano cheese. If you are staying at the hotel, I doubt that you could do better anywhere in the surrounding environs than this place, and it rates as a definite go-to place for locals as well. It got a bump to 4 stars because of the nice attention to the details of execution and flavor achieved.

Levee is located in the new Doubletree by Hilton. Modern, but somewhat stark atmosphere for a restaurant. Beautiful view of the river. Not particularly busy, so not a huge menu, but all the essentials are there — chicken, steak, fish, salads. My salmon was cooked just right and the presentation was on par with upscale. Lobster mac n’ cheese — creamy, but not mind blowing. Fresh side salad, rice wine dressing is a really nice, mild Asian flavor. Selection of wines and beers is not very deep either –1, maybe 2 choices of basics. A nice option if you are staying at Doubletree. Solid option for a professional meal.

I took two clients too lunch at the Levee Bar and Grill. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. I had the salmon sliders which were delicious. My clients commented on how much they enjoyed their food and the portion sizes were generous. All for a reasonable price. I can highly recommend dining here.
