After a day out at Quakerbridge mall, we stopped by for dinner with our daughter. Hub and I had the truffle mushroom swiss burger with sweet potato fries. And, a small chocolate shake for our little one. She had little to no appetite since she was recovering from a fever/cold. The truffle burger was pretty good. This is something that you don’t see often on a menu for a burger chain. Even the sweet potato fries was fresh and crunchy. As for choosing btwn reg or large, it doesn’t make much of a difference. I had the regular and it fit the bun perfectly. Hub had a slightly bigger patty so the bun didn’t hold well. The shake was a bit disappointing compared to Shake Shake. The ice cream was not thick. Most of the shake was just melted ice cream, watered down. Other than that, everything else was good.

Been here for lunch twice so far. Fast and friendly service. Dining area seemed bright and clean enough. The classic big burger smash with small fries(under $ 10) was ok, well cooked and good tasting, but nothing special. Definitely better than fast food places, but just falls short of the that other burger place with the peanuts and a handful of guys.

This place is just a mystery. Sometimes the people are very nice, sometimes they are aloof. It always takes some time to get your order, but weekend nights in particular it takes forever. Their black bean burger is decent and they put a ton of stuff on it.

The last time I reviewed this Smashburger location was nearly a year ago. Boy, has this place gone downhill! First thing I noticed is they are no longer cleaning the tables very well and I had to wipe the crumbs off myself. I had a coupon for a free side, so I handed it to the cashier while making my order. He asked«What does this mean?» repeatedly and stated that this was not the same Smashburger as the one in the coupon. When finally I explained it to him to the point where he understood, he acted like it was my fault for handing him a coupon that he couldn’t comprehend. Also, they were playing rap music. This was not the restaurant’s music but something else that they were playing over the restaurant’s music, which I’m sure the restaurant chain would frown upon. In view of all those problems, I think on my next trip, it would be better to skip this Smashburger location and another location or even another kind of restaurant. It’s not like there aren’t any other choices in this mall-filled area.

One of the best fast food burgers I’ve ever had. I got the original and it was tasty. Customer service was top notch.

The black bean veggie burger was tasty. I liked that they served honest tea. We dined here with a toddler and 10-year-old, and they enjoyed their selections. The other adult in our party enjoyed a traditional smash burger. Customer service was very good. French fries are deep-fried, and as greasy as one would expect from such fries. A pretty typical burger joint and on par with the Smash Burger we used to dine at when we lived in the southwest.

Burgers were good as usual. They mixed up our orders though. Also the American cheese that they put on the burgers really drops down the quality of the burger itself. A big chain with such great burgers and they ruin it with cheap cheese. When approached the manager to speak of this, he really could of cared less of what I had to say. Instead of listening he just blew me off. I wasnt complaining. I was just trying to give him some feedback on how he could make his establishment better. Upgrade the cheese and listen to your customers who pay your bills and you’ll get 5 stars. Fyi I always go for the classic smash burger with the larger patty. I don’t like to many things on my burgers to even think about trying their signature burgers. That’s just my opinion. I always go with the sweet potato fries which are excellent at every smashburger that I’ve been to. I’ve also tried the onion curls which are great as well. The smaller size for your side’s are always plenty of food. Never tried any other bun than the egg bun. I don’t think I will either because the egg bun is amazing and it is their signature bun that comes with any burger your order unless you ask for something different.

This is more a 3.5 but I rounded up. Just got done eating dinner here and I don’t have much to complain about. Price was reasonable for the portions you get. The smashfries were great but I say stick with regular to go with your burger. Too many flavor profiles happening there. I got the bbq bacon burger and it was great. The bun was a perfect addition… great flavors going on there. My husband got the original burger and he commented that it was good too. Nothing fancy but definitely hits the spot. The onion stack was also good. Sauce was a little salty but not major. I noticed people were complaining about the wait time. When we arrived there were about 4 groups in line so we did wait a bit for our food. Maybe 10 mins but I’m okay with waiting a bit. Let’s me know they’re cooking the burger fresh. This isn’t McDonald’s kids… if you want fast frozen burgers get your fix somewhere else.

I’ve been going to this place since it opened and had been visiting almost every week with my family. The last month had been very disappointing for the following reasons: 1 — Place is filthy, messy and uncleaned 2 — Orders take an average of 20 – 30 mins from the counter to the table 3 — No available staff to help or managers while some are just standing by the kitchen waiting for food to come out instead of cleaning the tables or floors My last visit was Friday, 2⁄19 around 7PM and the place full. After I ordered for take out, I shared a table with a few folks waiting for their orders. A few mins later I can hear some people already complaining that there orders are taking forever. Some people seated and waiting for their orders are complaining that there tables were filthy. I waited for 20+ mins and finally I asked one of the staff and he said they’re trying their best but kitchen is just slow. After 30+ mins I decided to cancel my orders and surprisingly a few other groups also cancelled. I’ll never go back to this place even though it’s one of our favorite place.

Had been to this location with no problems before. This time got 2 raw sandwiches that had to be thrown out when we arrived home. [you would hope they were hot enough to cook a little more while in the bag on the way home, instead they were pink/raw throughout] If you chose to eat here, make sure you check your burger… or choose Bobby’s down the street.

Very disappointing. The bacon cheeseburger that I received was nondescript, the best thing about it was the roll. The hamburger was neither juicey or any way memorable on top of everything else, I thought the price was very high; two bacon cheeseburgers + 2 drinks came to almost $ 20 a lot to pay for something so not memorable and we had to wait at least 15 minutes for our order to be delivered. I was there with a friend who got her burger first and then I had to wait an additional ten minutes before I received my order. The first bacon cheeseburger that we got came with a slice of cheese not melted on top of her smashed hamburger patty. try someplace else this one was not good at all

Enjoyed my burger. I had been meaning to check this place out for a while and glad I finally did. If I’m in the area, I might go again. May not go out of my way to go, but I would try it again.

First time at this location… Cashier was nasty but otherwise an uneventful lunch. This is your job, if you don’t like it perhaps you should make a different choice…

The place is way understaffed, the poor server was doing like 10 different jobs at once, and every once in a while the only cashier would go bus some of the tables, holding up the lines even more. The food its self was not great, I’ve certainly had better. Just go down the road to Bobby Flay’s and get a much better burger. Also had to send one burger back and we saw at least 5 other people send theirs back too. NJ burger was just ok, i would rather spend my money at five guys. i went to a different smash burger before and remember it being much better than this experience, reading some other reviews it looks like you should go to a different location.

Not my favorite. Burger was just okay, not bad but not enough to warrant a long review. They are very flat and the meat does not have a lot of taste. It’s better than the fast food places for sure. It’s not as good as 5 guys. I’d much rather go down the road to Bobby’s!

smashburger will do if you’re shooting for a quick-ish lunch or dinner that’s a bit tastier than fast food… and a lot more expensive. the burger patties are thin and cooked on a flat top(as the name suggests, the patties are smashed down with a large spatula during cooking). surprisingly, the burger still retains some juiciness, and is usually seasoned decently. you’ll find a bunch of burger-topping combinations ranging from mushroom swiss to bbq bacon to a location-specific variety(jersey burger!)… and you can sub a veg patty or a chicken breast for the beef burger. they even have burger salads. the sides are all sorts of fried fun– shoestring fries with rosemary and parm, buffalo-sauce seasoned fries, flash-fried veggies… yum! oh, and they do have one of those fun soda machines with a touch screen and a zillion flavor options. anddd hand-spun milkshakes in a ton of flavors. a meal for 2 at smashburger can run you 25 – 30 bucks easy… I think I’d prefer a trip to red robin for that much…

I wasn’t really impressed, over the last few years there have been a bunch of burger places that have opened, all trying to bring the burger above and out of the fast food category. I don’t really think that Samshburger is worth it. While it is better than fast food, it isn’t an elite burger that I would seek out. I got the classic smashburger. The burger was thin, about the size of a fast food burger. There wasn’t anything totally BAD about Smashburger, it just wasn’t a very memorable burger. I think there are a lot of places you’d be able to find a quick burger that is cooked when ordered. I don’t think that Smashburger is up to par. I liked 5 guys better.

I enjoy Smashburger, so I’m glad one finally opened in Mercer County. They are always coupons to be had online for Smashburger, so it’s very easy to always save at least 2 bucks when dining here. As fast food chains go, Smashburger is one of the better ones. Bobby’s Burger Palace is better quality, however, you pay about $ 5 more for the same offerings at Bobby’s. This franchise location doesn’t sell the chili cheese fries that some other Smashburgers do, but the rest of their menu is pretty typical. I would have rated this place 4 stars but they’re too cheap to turn on the heat and it’s always freezing inside.

I know it’s just me. But, I have a conceptual issue with Smashburger, and that leads to a taste problem. Smashing a burger is all well and good if you go for thin burgers that sort of have to be medium well to well done by definition(I mean there’s no place to hide a medium or medium rare center). The result is a relatively less tasty ground beef without the juices that inhabit the center of a normal puck. So, to make up for the lack of natural flavor, the Smashburger«Sauce» was invented. That might be a fair exchange if it was as good as au jus, but, it is not. To my tongue it has a saltiness that is unpleasant. The presentation is good. In my case the Spicy Jalapeño Big Baja looked great with the slices green pepper standing waist deep in a nice dollop of Guacamole in the middle of the sandwich. The Red Onion and Pepper Jack and Romaine all stood their ground well. The Shoestring Fries were crisp and hot and adequately spiced. The Van Shake was very good, too(although a bit thinner than its compadres at Cheeburger). The new store was attractive and comfortable, and the staff eager to please. At the risk of sounding weird, my question is, why not offer an alternative«Smashless» Burger? Give those of us who prefer a thicker, juicier, naturally flavored burger the choice. The rest of the fixings are clever and creative and would work with either style. Why not let the customer decide? Skinny or Fat?
