Woke up craving BBQ& decided to try this place out & I’m glad I did! I got the brisket, pulled pork, mac & cheese & fries. Both meats were moist &DELICIOUS! The sides were also great. More than anything the reason why I will come back is for the service, I’ve never experienced such great service… anywhere! I’m horrible with names but the super nice gentleman that we picked our food up from was amazing! He came by to check on us & even sent us over a sample of the dessert & included a sweet drawing of a heart on the serving tray for my boyfriend & I. They also have people who walk around offering refills & to remove your trash. The gentleman that was helping us was super nice, so nice that I even felt bad agreeing to have him get me a refill lol The food is yummy but def check it out for the amazing staff :) OH& don’t forget to try out every sauce they have at the table & the Alabama white sauce at the condiment station

Tastiest BBQ I’ve had in the area yet! It’s really tough to find decent BBQ… Had the brisket(best way to judge a BBQ joint) and it was tasty! I just wish they gave me more. It comes with corn bread, which was a bit dry for my liking, but maybe that’s just how it should be. I also had the mac and cheese, which was good, but nothing great. But the tender, juicy meat. Tables have 6 types of sauces, 2 of which I really enjoyed. memphis belle and honey heat since they were slightly sweet. I was not a fan of the texas twang. since it was a bit twangy. Service was good, but you go to the counter to order, so not much to rate. They were welcoming and patient with us trying to decide what to get. I would definitely consider coming back.

As an avid bbq enthusiast who grill/smokes something once a week, I must applaud there pulled pork but frown on the beef brisket. The pulled pork has lots of flavors and doesn’t «need» sauce. The sauces add lots of flavors and doesnt change the star of the dish. The beef brisket offers regular and moist, i assume this is the flat and the point. The point is the hump section of the brisket and the most complex part of the brisket since it doesn’t have a uniform shape like the flat. The smoke ring is partially there and the flavor is somewhat there. Just lacking, this is why it is on the cheaper side. I am ok with $ 10+ brisket but most are not. The brisket was not dry but almost there, sauce was needed and couldn’t be eaten plain. I am so tired of chicken at bbq places and this place has good quality moist turkey. I think the turkey was brined and cooked very well. I got a little side salad to help cut the heaviness of the meat and it was on par. Not just iceberg lettuce but a blend of other veggies. Ranch was ok but nothing special Service is friendly and attentive but man, this brisket is a disappointment. Smoky mtn on beef. Tupleo honey heat on everything else.

I had no idea about a Mission BBQ in Laurel or about the new open concept shopping center like Waugh Chapel. I used to be scared of going into Laurel and leery of their junk-a-lunk-a areas but they tore down the old mall and it’s nice now! Guess I should get out more. Mission BBQ accommodated a HUGE group. I mean like half the restaurant. Now they don’t take reservations. But we were there for a going-away lunch for a military guy who was leaving. So a few people got there early and started grabbing tables and then the staff helped the group move into more tables as they became empty. The person leaving was going to be missed so there was a good turn out. As soon as people first started arriving, the manager had sent one of their guys over to Harris Teeter to get a little cake. How sweet is that. Thank you Mission BBQ for your support and to all the other patrons who had to wait on a table because we were there. We appreciate you!

I feel compelled to write a review because of the exceptional customer service I experienced on my first time dining at Mission BBQ! It was the Nordstrom of customer service but with the down home Texas Roadhouse feel — if you get my point… Staff at all levels were there to please and didn’t give you that fake kinda I’m just doing this cause I’m getting paid act even if the case I couldn’t tell… they were there to serve, friendly, and professional… impressed and unexpected… I also like that this restaurant honors those in public service who protect & serve us… again impressed… And most importantly the food is good! The ribs both spare and baby back were on point not fatty, very meaty and seasoned well… the sauces… the sides… the reasonable prices… the ambiance… kid/family friendly… damn near perfect for a BBQ joint… I got nothing bad to say… this place is giving Famous Dave’s and Shane’s nearby some serious competition… I will be back on multiple visits in my future… hand clap hand claps Mission!!!

I’ve only eaten here once(compared to the dozens of times I’ve enjoyed Mission at other locations), but I’m happy to say the quality is consistent. The service was spot on, as well. There was a team member(Ariel?) who was wandering the seating area offering to help, answering questions, etc. The food is amazing, as you’d expect. It’s BBQ created from a pilgrimage across this great nation which pulls in all of the very best aspects that can be found out there. What more could an honest carnivore ask for? The parking was kind of tricky, but I can’t fault Mission for that. Just be aware when you go, especially if you decide to do so on a busy shopping day, or in inclement weather. You might have to park a ways out and walk(which, again, is fine). Glad to see they can open new stores and still have the same quality cuisine and customer service I would expect!

Meat lovers, rejoice. If you’re on a quick mission for some good BBQ, look no further than Mission BBQ(haha). The beef brisket here is ahhhhhmazing. Tender, moist, and perfectly cooked. I’ve seen some complaints regarding the lack of «spices» or whatever, but that is what the sauces are for!!! Why do people knock the quality of meat simply because it’s not seasoned to fit their pallet? The pulled chicken and pork are just as good too according to my dates(I stick with the brisket) and the coleslaw is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. No shortage of BBQ sauces here– find one that you like. My favorite is the honey heat– it’s sweet & spicy. I wish they would sell it in a bottle because I would buy 5 at a time. Beware of the sweet tea and lemonade, they tend to be, uhhh, diabetic flavor. Really, really sweet… I have to dilute mine to enjoy it, but I don’t have much of a sweet tooth so this might not even be a problem for most people. If it is, just take another bite of that brisket and you’ll be back in oral bliss.

This place has great BBQ. I got the pulled pork, Carolina style. The sandwich is piled high with pull pork… Definitely fills you up and I eat a lot of food! And the staff is always welcoming and cheerful. Always good here. I’d recommend this place to others.

Came here to redeem me free bday sandwich. I got the smoked turkey. It was a lottle on the dry side with a spicy seasoning on the outside that kinda made up for that. The bun was soft and held up to the chunky slices of turkey. I enjoy coming here because the décor is done up with military memorabilia, as Mission BBQ was founded by former military persons. Its worth the visit to just peruse the information. Very informative. And the food ain’t half bad either.

I’ve walked past this place a million times, but for some reason I’ve always thought to go to Famous Dave’s when I craved BBQ. After a fun night of trick or treating at the Town Center, we decided to stop in and try out the food. My first impression was one of wonder. Super patriotic, lots of fun pics on the wall, and the ordering process was quick and easy. I tried the three meat platter, and ordered the turkey, sausage with jalepeno and cheddar, and the brisket with baked beans and cornbread. The turkey was moist and juicy, as was the brisket. The wonderful smoked flavor on the brisket went well with the sauces– you get a choice of 6, and the Old Bay flavored sauce and KC sauce were my favs. My children got the macaroni and cheese which was creamy and cheesy, and my daughter tried the ribs. Fall off the BONE delish. I’ll definitely be going back. The prices aren’t bad, the portions are pretty plentiful, and the taste gives Dave’s a run for it’s money.

I always love coming to Mission BBQ. It’s a great patriotic restaurant that supports military and first responders, oh and the food is great too. Everything here that I’ve had is great, from the meat to the sides. I usually always get the pulled pork and my sides vary. The pork is great, not greasy, and not dried out. It’s tender and has great flavor. Even though it’s great on its own I always douse it in the tupelo honey heat sauce, which resembles the sweet heat sauce you can get at Popeyes. To me Tupelo honey heat is the best sauce that they have, but that’s far from the only one they have, they have six different sauces to choose from, so there is something for everyone. Then their sides are great too, like their creamy coleslaw, hand cut fries, moist cornbread, and many more. They have great iced tea too. Then there is dessert, which too is amazing like their strawberry shortcake, which unfortunately is a seasonal dessert. So in conclusion, I can go on for days about this place, but for the real experience y’all should come in and check it out for yourselves.

The place was very clean and the food was hot ans fresh you can tell it wasn’t souring around all day. I’m a sucker the the North Carolina pulled pork Sandy. The even had the mustard sauce too. Mix it with the Texas and the Smoky mountain bbq sauce. The mac and cheese wad gooey, creamy, cheesy, what else do you ask for. On a non food related note. I love that these folks dedicate their place to troops and raise money for Wounded Warrior Project. Great cause.

Mission BBQ is a quality barbeque restaurant that serves very good food, yet has an ambiance that does not play well with all patrons. First, the food– they have a very good selection of barbeque, including traditional pulled-pork, beef brisket, pulled chicken, as well as unique platters like barbequed turkey(healthier & tastes good!) and sausage barbeque. All their barbeque meats are good– if you get the sampler that gives you a choice of two or three meat picks, it allows you to try several choices. The sides are great, too. The«cold» slaw is made in-house and tasty– not too much mayo like many places; the fresh cut fries are cooked properly and seasoned well(but not too much), the mac-n-cheese is delish., even though I’m not a fan of such a side; the baked beans & brisket are tasty and not just out of the can; cornbread is the real McCoy– it even has real bits of corn in it, a rarity these days. Drinks are very reasonably priced, and authentic: real brewed ice tea, in-house lemonade, and two buck beers(can’t beat that!). Refills for many drinks are complimentary. The staff have generally been helpful and pleasant, with few exceptions. So why not the 5-stars? As seen by the restaurant name, this is a military-themed eatery: a huge hum-vee sits on the front lawn, armed forced paraphernalia and photos plastered all over the walls, even«girly recruitment posters» in the men’s room(good for children?). You can’t get away from it; very over-done. You even get injected with the fervor when you buy your drinks– cups bear a quotation from a recent president exhalting our need to defend and protect. It’s almost unbearable. For those thinking I’m unpatriotic, this author is an honorably-discharged disabled U.S. Navy veteran– I fully support the men and women who serve AND served in the armed forces. I also, though, find it unsavory that this theme is over-pronounced in this establishment, to the point of quoting civilians on drink cups as part of the armed-forces composition of the restaurant. So, for good barbeque and sides, as well as reasonably priced drinks, and good service by the staff, Mission BBQ is the place to go, if you can get past the blatant and pointed messages everywhere you look. For those that this offends, you may want to go elsewhere. Advice to the proprietors: tone your«mission statement» down, and I think more of your patrons would be appreciative.

Oh boy, this is going to be fun. So, it’s rare that I find a place this good. I’ve decided I want to move in. Like, I’m serious. I want to live here. LOL A place where you get greeted at the door. With smiles and ridiculously fast and wonderful service. Seating for any size group. TV’s playing sports, Free WiFi, a men’s bathroom built for men. Oh the joy. Come on? Really? I let them know I’m not leaving. I was serious. They said that they would convert one of the booths into a bed for me. I’ve been here 3 hours… or more. Watching Soccer and working. Oh yeah, lunch So this is my first visit and you start by grabbing a cold soda out the ice chest. I chose the crème soda. The menus are at the door, however, the big board will do. Mmmm, pulled chicken salad please. No sides today. Although the fires do look good. So, before I could get my water poured, they are calling my name. Really? That was actually too quick. Like 30 seconds and my order was called. Grabbed my tray and smiled. Chicken was piled high on my soon to discover soft bun. I spent the next 5 tasting the Barbecue sauces and NC Vinegar Mix’er. My faves are the Bay B Que and the Tupelo Honey Heat. Mixed both with the Vinegar. Not even sure the sandwich needed all that since the pulled chicken is moist and has plenty of flavor. All in all, a great first visit. Just learned there is another in Annapolis. I’ll hit that one next. I am a hot box and thought the air was blasting so for some, it may be cold. Bring a jacket just in case. You’ll be fine or just dine on the outside. I would have done that if Gold Cup prelims weren’t playing.

I’ve had a few things at Mission BBQ now, and I definitely would have to go with a solid average bbq rating. It lacks a little spice and boldness, but you can sort-of level that out with the sauces they have. I probably would give it 4 stars, but the last time I went, I got a salad with their pulled chicken on top. The portion of pulled chicken was REALLY meager. I’m talking like 3 full chicken strips-ish portion. The greens and veggies were sort of an afterthought. Also, the dressings choices they had were«Ranch or Italian». I know that your heart is really in the bbq, but if you’re gonna serve anything — you might as well put some effort into it. The only other place I’ve ever been offered a choice of two dressings is the Boy Scout Camps that I worked at. And even there… I thought it a bit riduculous. So I went ahead and made my own dressing. I took some of their Alabama sauce and mixed it with a little of their mustard based bbq sauce. It was pretty decent. Pepsi products on tap don’t make me too happy, but that’s just preference. If I went back, I certainly would stick to their bbq plates. I’ve gotten their turkey before, and it was very tender and good. I would not get their pulled chicken again. Even the meagar amount of it was not that tasty. Sorry! You should definitely be aiming in the direction of Pulled pork, brisket, or turkey.

When I think of Maryland BBQ, I think pit beef. While I’ve had some great pit beef experiences in the Baltimore area, the options for«real» BBQ has always been lacking for me. Famous Daves isn’t cutting it anymore. Enter Mission BBQ. I’ll describe my experience and what you can expect from Mission BBQ in one simple statement: BBQ is America! Mission BBQ gives you the taste of home and love for country, all in one(or two) bountiful plate. If you’re an American or love America, you must eat here at least once! P. S. I am ecstatic that they support the Wounded Warriors :-)

First time here. Got the pulled pork with baked beans(w/brisket). The pork is nicely seasoned with dry rub. The beans are delicious with a nice a taste reminiscent of Brunswick stew. The best sauce, in my opinion, is the Smoky Mountain. Dark smoke taste that blended well with pulled pork. Feels like the Chipotle of bbq.

Great fast food BBQ. I first started going to their Glen Burnie location and this place does not disappoint. I’ve only gotten the turkey which is always well cooked. If the creamed corn is in season — GETIT — its sooooo good! This place is the Nordstrom’s of the BBQ world. Everyone is ALWAYS beyond friendly and will have a chat with you about the history of the company or just life. DON’T got to Famous Dave’s when you got this place!
