Dear fellow Unilocalers, This is my third visit. All of my experiences have been the same … good food bad service… but let me summarize this one: Do yourself a favor and sit at the bar because the service here is shittay. yes shittay. Thats the friendly was of saying shittiest service ever. The irony? The food is amazing. They got rid of the best thing on the menu(the head chef decided a chicken salad lettuce wrap was good for the winter but not the summer? yyeahh i don’t get it either) so I got the shrimp BLT quesadilla. mmmmmmm. The original bartenders were good as I sat on the patio, enjoying the beautiful day. But my god, once the«server» Brianna came in for her shift, ALL quality service was discontinued immediately. If woe order a jack n ginger, i got a jack and coke. when i ordered a dish with fried pickles and i got friend green beans instead… it was definitely different. I was constantly going to the bar to get our drinks after waiting 30 minutes for them to be delivered. There were two instances where she didn’t put the food order in so they came out super late… the bartender was attentive and helpful in helping me be my own server. There were only 4 tables occupied so Im not sure what the issue was. long and short of it: food is good but sit at the bar if you want any type of service. Love always, Krys, your local bar guru

I was pretty disappointed with the flavors. They lacked distinction, had four different flavors of wings and they all tasted the same. The fries had a nice garlic taste, but were lukewarm. The wings are too expensive for the poor quality in taste that was delivered. Yeah it was a tropical depression.

Jumbo wings were on the small side. Allows you to try multiple sauces before ordering. Service was slow but friendly. I suggest giving it a try based on other reviews but I’ll choose elsewhere for my next wing visit.

Ordered delivery twice. It took 2 hrs to make a quesadilla, kettle chip, cook shrimp and make the 12 minute drive to deliver it.

Saturday night. No one there. Supposed to be a sports bar feel… negative…felt like we were sitting at Olive Garden with the old crowd. Sitting here waiting for food 25 minutes and still no food. You can hear a pin drop. Music on was the 60s radio and I’m not joking. Food…5 out of 10.

Good food, great prices, strong drinks and excellent service! Live DJ on the weekends! I had no idea they had taken over the old Ruby Tuesdays. I tried the piña colada wings, parmesan fries and strawberry margarita, delish! Really cool laid back atmosphere. Can’t wait for warmer weather so I can sit out on their patio. I will definitely be back!!!

The wings are spicy, the beer is cold, & the service is exceptional. From the moment our party walked into the door we were greeted warmly by Emily & attentively taken care of by Cortez for many hours. So many hours, in fact, that I am writing this review from the table as Kim takes 15% off our check for checking in on Unilocal on Easter Sunday. Thanks to Tommy for being an excellent barkeep & the entire Hurricane staff for making a lunch stop into an amazing experience. I will be sure to visit again soon!

I’ve gone here twice now. The first time was the first month they opened. Staff was horribly trained. It felt like they threw this kid out there to learn on the job. He tried, but it just wasn’t working. Orders took forever drinks took forever. A 45 minute restaurant visit took almost 2 hours. However, I’m all about second chances; to a fault. Came in on a Friday night around 9 – 10, the place was empty. We come in waited 5 minutes(which seems short, but it isn’t when you’re waiting and hungry) we are finally greeted the host sits us and says someone will be with us. She comes back and takes our order. Uhhh OK. Wings were decent, nothing exciting. lots of flavors. The only thing good here are the fries, but they cheap out on the serving size. I also ordered a sort of mango sprite drink similar to something I would get in high school when I would go to IHOP, where I at least got a free refill. This tasted like lemonade with too much sugar and no mango. I won’t be back.

Went on Saturday night for a birthday party. It was fairly empty for a Saturday night, I think people must not know it’s there, because the food, prices, and service were all pretty good! They have happy hour every day until 7! I believe it picks up again at 9 from what I was told. I heard the DJ wasn’t so great, but I had already left by then. I’d try it again for sure!

Food is decent. Delivery is horrible. I’ve ordered several times and each time is worse. So I will not be ordering again. I spoke with a manager once before and let him know that someone needs to make sure the staff checks the order before its delivered. It’s not far to pay $ 10 for a chicken Caesar salad and end up with no cheese crotons or dressing. I hope you take this review serious and train your staff properly.

This place appeared on grubhub recently, so we’ve been ordering delivery. The food is always delivered hot, the delivery is never late and often ahead of the time expected. It’s also great to have something deliver that’s not just pizza. The only reason I take off one star is because sometimes it’s inconsistent– both in portion sizes and preparation. For example, one time we got the parmesan broccoli as a side dish– it was awesome and super buttery and parmesan-y. We liked it so much, we got some the next time we ordered, and it was basically just steamed broccoli with a little parmesan on it. We usually get«the perfect storm» appetizer to share as well, and sometimes the portion is big(several pieces of each thing), and sometimes it’s very small(just 2 – 3 pieces of each thing). If they could just be more consistent with food prep and portion sizes so we know what to expect every time, they’d be a 5 star joint.

Group of us stopped by Tuesday night after having dinner at another place across the parking lot. The atmosphere was great! Very cozy & cute. The bartender Cierra was great. We arrived around 10pm(they close at 11pm) she was very welcoming & took great care of us. Defiantly going back to check out Happy Hour!

It was great food! A little expensive but not too bad. You can eat there for a good price if you try. The waiter was exceptionally attentive and checked on my wife and kids multiple times and made sure the order was right more than once. Over all it was a great experience and we will definitely be back soon! FYI the Caribbean Blue cocktail is a MUST!

I use to go to this place plenty while living in Florida and it is good to see one open up in this area. If you are looking for a good chain restaurant that serves wings then this a definite place to add to your list. The wings are far superior to Hooters, Wingstop, Wingzone, and B-Dubs(Buffalo Wild Wings). This place is a bit hidden in Laurel. If you are traveling on 1 where Washington Blvd. turns into Baltimore Ave it is behind a place called Papa Auto Parts. I had to make a circle and come back to find it. Upon walking in the place has a very tropical feel like Bahama Breeze, Cheeseburger in Paradise or Margaritaville. It is very colorful and has that South Florida Key West feel. I was greeted by Deidre and she is awesome. Very friendly and knows plenty about the area. I felt as if I got a little tour while there. She suggested a few items and I decided to go with an order of cheese fries and voodoo juice. The cheese fries are the basic loaded cheese fries covered in bacon crumbles and jalapenos. Nothing better or worse than you get from other places. I also went with the voodoo juice which is similar to a hurricane and it was refreshing. I decide to go with a wing sampler that lets you choose between four of the almost 40 flavors available. I went with the hot teriyaki, sweet red chili, honey bbq, and the boss sauce. All sauces were good and I did not choose anything too hot. Not saying that I could not handle it. The wings are huge as over the years the wings seem to be getting smaller and smaller. This may seem crazy that I am writing this but it is also good when the wings are cooked all the way. I have been surprised at times to see nothing but raw chicken covered in sauce too many times. If you check in on Unilocal you get 15% of your check and they offer a 10% military discount.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was almost completely empty. The service is very subpar. The hostess took forever to seat us even though it wasn’t many people there so we sat ourselves at the bar. Our waiter’s attitude seemed like he didn’t even want to be there. As for the food, we ordered the sampler as an appetizer. This was the best part of our entire meal. It consisted of fried shrimp, chicken tenders, fried pickles, and garlic Parmesan fries. Everything on this platter was delicious even down to the sauce. For my main entrée I ordered raspberry ice wings and the baja chicken quesadilla. Both were mediocre. As for the drinks, we ordered the peach pie which was a decent drink but nothing to write home about. Overall, I’ll pass on coming back here.

I have been meaning to try this place out. I heard about it though a co worker. I was in the area because I had to take my phone in to sprint to be serviced. I get these cravings and no I’m not pregnant. I was feeling like buffalo wings. So l headed to my car and placed my order on line. Quick and simple. I opted to pay in person. You could pay online while placing your order The hostess had the order ready at her station. I ordered the 15 wings with bone. Mild hurricane. Very good! ! Next time I’m going to bump it up and make my sauce Spicer. It came with your choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing and about Three celery sticks. I do think they were a little stingy on the celery sticks but nevertheless it still was good. This is a cute place that make you feel like you’re on the beach. I love the idea. I hear that they have a daily happy hour from 4 till 7pm. I have to try them out and see what the specials are. I like the way the bar is set up as well. I plan on returning for dinner sometime soon and to also see if l can get some friends together for happy hour after work one day. I wish it was a little bit closer to me but whenever in the laurel md area l would love to stop by. It’s located in the shopping center off Route 1. Where the chuckie cheese is and also Giant groceries and the Sprint store and a Books a million store as well. The hostess was very nice and let me take pictures of the place. I will definitely be back and try to spread the word. :)

I will begin the review on a good note, our waitress Sara was awesome. The. End! The appetizer was extra greasy! Thank God we cut into the boneless tenders because they were not all white meat and they had blood in them! The fried pickles were extra greasy, the garlic parmesan fries were extremely soggy and the fried shrimp had no flavor. I guess that’s why they want you to drown everything in a sauce! The entrée was even worst than the appetizer! The lightly fried chicken sandwich was a elementary school chicken patty! It wasn’t even real chicken! Just like the boneless wings. I had to send back my fries because they were cold and taste like they were under a heat lamp for a long time. My date ordered the citrus marinated churrasco steak medium well and it came out between rare and medium. We didn’t want to send it back because we know how it is working in the restaurant business. But man this was ridiculous! Soooo Sara suggested that we speak with manager. The manager came out 10 minutes later and told us that she was sorry for our experience and hope that we come back. She said that the feedback is good for them to have because they are a new place. She’d already determined that she wasn’t going to make any changes to our bill because she brought us out two coupons for free garlic Parmesan fries!!! Lol and she was serious!!! We left them on the table and thanked our waitress! Sara was the best thing that happened to Hurricane Wings tonight. She had a great attitude and she tried to speak with her manager about the horrible food that they had served us. If anyone is planning on going to this place in the future… GOODLUCK!!!

The space that used to be Ruby Tuesday has been remodeled into a(hold tight to your seat) Tiki bar! The over perfection of the décor tells me it’s a chain or franchise, but they get a lot of things right. Happy hour 3 – 7 seven days is a good start, and they have a pretty good line of taps(including two from Jailbreak brewery just up the road) as well as the expected tropical drinks available by the glass or by the bucket, some with the local Deep Eddy vodka. Several TVs for those who want sports with their beer. Music was a Caribbean mix, a little Calypso, a little reggae, a little resort hotel version of top 40. I got the fish and chips, and it was jolly good, crisp crust and flaky flavorful filet. Right up there with those I paid for with Pounds Sterling. It came with a nice crunchy cole slaw, which had a few bits of red cabbage and carrot to brighten it up and an unobtrusive dressing. The fries were crinkle cut long ways rather than the usual cross ways, and also fried just right, crisp outside and creamy inside. Generous portion for $ 11.95. The house gimmick is 35 flavors of sauce and rub, which can be applied in any combination to any dish. I asked for a shot of Coco Loco(coconut, lime, and habanero), and used it to dip the fries when the ketchup got boring. Worked surprisingly well, nice kick but not punishing. Next time I think I’ll sit on the patio and try the conch fritters. I’m not expecting them to be better than the super fresh ones I had in the Bahamas but I bet they bring back good memories. Lots of Corona neon signs, this may be where you«find your beach».

Totally different from the usual places around the area. I love the Caribbean/Jamaican vibe of this place. It makes feel like you’re on a vacation and away from the hectic and busy feel of the city. Perfect place to get drinks, especially happy hour — which is 3 – 7 everyday. Wait did I mention that it’s EVERYDAY, 3 – 7?! We had 5 bucket drinks. Most of the drinks they have at the bar can be ordered as a bucket which is basically 2 drinks in one bucket. The drinks ranges between $ 8 – 18, the buckets being $ 14 – 18. For starter/appetizer I love the lettuce wrap. It’s seasoned chicken on lettuce with some onion and tomato and honey lime sauce. It is a little challenging eating the lettuce, but I learned that starting from the thicker end makes it easier to devour it’s goodness. I also love the chicken sliders tossed in sweet red chili with the kettle chips as the side. ITISABSOLUTELYDELISH! Also if you want to trade your 2 signature sides for a period side I would suggest getting the garlic parm’ fries. If you’re going for a healthier option I would suggest garlic parm’ broccoli(this is a signature side) — either one is amazing. Lastly, the wings! They are known for the wings. I have tried a couple of flavors, but there’s still 35+ other flavors I am yet to try. So far I have tried the Jamaican jerk, maple pepper, cyclone, honey chipotle, medium buffalo(those are apparently the most popular ones), sweet red chili, garlic Parmesan, trifecta, roasted garlic inferno, and boy oh boy, are they good. They have a lot of flavors, but I’ll try each one one day at a time!
