I was recommended to go to Tita’s Hair Salon and wanted to write a fair review: 1) They are open 7 days a week, including late on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday until 10pm!!! Yes 10pm! Make sure to call and check. They even told me they will be open Christmas Eve at 7am! Great hours! 2) The Hairdresser told me they are on the Perkas App. Get 4 hairdo’s and your 5th one you get a free deep conditioner. 3) I have extremely frizzy, curly hair and they did a great job. Please see picture. 4) The review before where someone said«don’t go to this place and expect them to be your Salon Bestie» is different from my experience. I had a consult prior to my hairdo and provided great tips, but I have never been into the«Beauty Salon Confessionals». When I asked them about the Unilocal Review, they said to keep in mind most of the hairdressers speak Spanish only(which was not a problem for me). I brought my headphones and used the wifi next door to caught up on Hulu. 5) Yes, they are loud(again, ok by me). And Yes, they were eating and chatting. Being honest(glad I knew that prior to going as a 1st timer). My hair did take a long time(which is only reason I do not give it 5 stars) but in typical salon fashion, she had a client before me. I have been natural for years and this is the first time my hair looks STRAIGHT! Ask for Heidi or Wilka!!!

Very busy, very loud, but the price is right. The ladies in there a mix of a few who are friendly and a few who are rude and won’t greet you when you walk in(which is, at minimum, expected of an establishment that claims to be professional, no?). But the prices are great so it’s hard to complain. And if you walk them through exactly what style you want after your wash and condition, they’ll get it done. I highly recommend this salon to anyone who is sick and tired of being over-charged at salons or by stylists who specialize in Black hair. At Titas, you can go in and walk out with your hair looking great for half the price.

Like most Dominican salons, Tita’s is full of «in your face» ladies who are very vocal and are constantly talking and socializing; if you’re looking for a place where hairdressers don’t interact with you and make you feel at home, then this ISNOT the place for you! I have extremely curly hair and have been«natural» for almost 5 years now, so it’s hard to get a decent blowout without worrying that a little bit of humidity will ruin the straightness. Heidi has been cutting my hair for two years now and she does such an amazing job, that I followed her all the way to Tita’s from Palm Bay! Seriously guys, my hair has never looked healthier. Wilka(the owner) is extremely sweet and her work speaks for itself. She takes her time to ensure that your hair is sleek and shiny and won’t get frizzy with the humidity. I’m originally from New York so prices are extremely different down here than they are back home but for a salon in Florida(been to couple) that will work with natural hair, prices are not a problem. Whenever I want to switch it up and take a break from my curls, I always make the two hour drive down to Tita’s and I’m never disappointed!

I like how my hair turns out but they are not professional at all. They leave you sitting there while eating, chatting or whatever they feel like doing. It’s not inexpensive either. I just keep coming back because I haven’t found another salon in the area. When I go I have no expectations to be treated nicely or leave in a promptly manner. Terrible customer service.

I was excited when I first found this place because it was a Dominican salon. My first experience was horrible. I went in for a hair wash. The young lady that washed my hair didn’t realize I spoke Spanish and started to talk bad about my hair to the other girl next to her. The girl next to her must have picked up I was latina and asked her, «Does she speak Spanish?» The remainder of the time they spent talking in Spanish about their«boyfriends». I will not be returning. Horrible customer service!!!

I liked how my hair looked after getting it done here, but I must say they were a bit pricey. I was charged $ 65 for a wash and set and a deep conditioner. I feel like I was over charged. The most I’ve ever paid for that in other salons has been $ 45. I think I’ll stick to doing my own hair.

I walked in and everyone was speaking(I should say yelling) Spanish. It took a good minute before somebody said hello. The lady that did my hair did a pretty good job BUT the entire time she was doing my hair she was talking in Spanish with the other ladies. That was rude & very unprofessional. Then it was time to pay… TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE! I asked how much & the guy in the front(on his cellphone) said«$ 15 but I must add $ 1unless you pay cash.» I said its my first time in the place & I wasn’t told that before I sat down to get my hair done. He said«well you like your hair so it should not be a problem!» WHAT!!! NOTGOINGBACK to this $%*+ hole!!!

Came in Friday afternoon for a wash n set. I called first, just to see if they’d take me even though it was after 5pm. The lady on the phone said, «Yes! Of course, honey! Just come!» so, suffice it to say, I knew I was gonna like the place. I washed and deep conditioned first, and then Ysabel blew my hair dry instead of roller setting it because she said it was better for my curly natural hair. I was unhappy at first, but I decided that I’d venture out of my comfort zone and take her advice. Trust me, I was SOGLAD that I did, because my hair came out GORGEOUS! After the blowdry, she flat ironed it and my hair came out so straight, shiny, and silky that it looked that a black silk scarf! And wanna know what the best part is??? Well, I’ll tell you… THEPRICETAG! $ 35 for the blowdry/flat iron + $ 5 for the deep condition! I don’t straighten my hair often, but when I do, I KNOW where I’ll be going!

When I arrived they were busy. I thought I’d be there for hours. I was taken back right away to get my hair washed & deep conditioned. My hair is thick & shoulder length. I had my hair on rollers, blown out and flat ironed. My hair looked fabulous!(I need to do my relaxer but I’m trying to wait) I was taken care of by «Ohde». With results like this I’ll wait another month before I relax my hair. Thnx«Ohde! I was charged $ 45 + 5 for the deep conditioner. I was done in about an 1 ½ hours.

Would have given 5 stars if the prices were posted somewhere in the salon. Great service overall.

I’m teetering between 3 and 4 stars for this salon. When I first came to this shop, I wasn’t greeted by anyone. The second time I was. It would be nice to say hello to everyone that walks through the door :-). Anywho I love the way my hair comes out. I forget the name of the stylist but she’s an older woman who sits and the booth farthest from the right. The prices here are fair. I don’t think I have ever spent more that 55 dollars for a relaxer. P. S. You get the blow dry AND the flat iron for straightness.

Great Experience! A Dominican Salon in Lauderhill/Broward is very hard to find but driving down University Blvd, you can’t miss the flag. I stopped by early Wednesday morning to ask for prices and hours. $ 30 wash/set but they are open Thanksgiving day till 2:00. I arrive Thanksgiving day at 10 am and the $ 30.00 price tag includes wash/deep conditioning/set/blow dry & flat iron to seal the straightness in this FL humidity. I’m out by 12:00 and couldn’t be happier with a fresh hair-do on Thanksgiving. The owner, forgot her name, mentioned she’s open on Christmas Day at 5:00 am till noon.
