Amazing, French-inspired seafood. This is a tiny, hidden spot that reminded me of a European café. We each ordered the prix fixe, which included a starter, main, and homemade dessert. The escargots is rich and perfectly seasoned. Main courses vary daily with the availability and quality of fresh fish. My snapper was incredible, and the chocolate mousse homemade by our French hostess was to die for.

Cute bright French Cuisine. They have three option two pre fixed meals plus Àla cart. Very nice. They put on table a nice little basket of bread, one had a hint of salt and which went so well w/my Pinot Grigio which was really good for only $ 7.00. Plus a milk bottle octal water, nice touch. I had the three, ordered the escargot, which was very different that I’v had before. The snails were a nice size and tender. Then xtra I ordered the onion soup, $ 8.50. which I would have thought to be more cheesy and a better flavor. Not sure if it was a beef broth. The server/owner was the only one working the floor, with the help of a young boy. On a Saturday nite before mother day, they should have had a second sever, but I must say the owner did a good job. It would have been better w/the xtra server. I then had the Full Rack of Lamp New Zealand. With yummy mashed potatoes and nice carrots fresh. Plus dessert the whole three course is $ 49.00 . The two I believe was $ 29.00. I’ll be back it was pleasant and not rushed.

Our first visit to Sea was with a Groupon. We could not have been more delighted! We were greeted by the charming owner, selected a 3 course meal and finished off an amazing dinner with a home made succulent dessert. We have since been back to Sea many times and it does not disappoint. There are daily fresh catch specials prepared with a French flare, a great selection of wines: both bottles and by the glass, and the owner, Edith, makes the delicious desserts from scratch. Sea offers 2 and 3 course meals as well as a la carte items. The pan seared scallops are my favorite. A must try entrée! We have discovered a hidden French gem by the Sea.

Service was on par. Food was so good we literally rolled out to our car. Must have the escargot, rack of lamb, and lavender crème brûlée. Small and intimate, warm and friendly. Wine selection is not extensive, but on point. Overall great spot, you won’t be disappointed.

Great service, great food, great experience. We will return to Sea when we are in the area next year. From the butter, fresh bread, perfectly done duck, and amazing vegetables, this will remind you of France.

If want want French food, but can’t afford the flight to France, head immediately to SEA. Four of us came in this very evening for a birthday celebration and EVERY dish was spectacular! The wines were well selected and not over priced. The menu was well thought out, not too big but something for everyone! The owner was fun, personable and very accommodating. I will go back every time I am in the Lauderdale area. Don’t miss this amazing yet affordable experience!

If I could give less than a one i would. We could t wait to try bought a living social made reservations got dressed and ready and they call us 45 minutes before reservation and say«we have decided to not do living social anymore, you can come here but no deal«really ??? They are rude, overpriced, nasty and represent the south Florida community worse than anyone. PLEASETAKEOURWORDANDDONOTPATRONIZETHISPLACE they ruined our evening and do not stand behind any type of customer service at all and check out the dinner prices. What a joke !! Avoid at all cost.

If you are looking for authentic French cuisine, look no further. The quaint French ambience is delightful and pairs perfectly with the amazing entrees that you will want to savor every morsel. Seafood is the specialty however, rack of lamb and duck margret are available and awesome. The ambience is very French so you are never rushed and the owner is attentive and takes pride in making her quests feel special. You can see the pride she takes in her Preparation and presentation. The wine list is perfect. The deserts are perfection. What a compliment to the entrée! Don’t change a thing! It’s always a delight to eat there knowing that dinner will be memorable! So glad we found this place.

Ok so I don’t write reviews unless a restaurant is either very good or very bad and SEA is very very good. I almost didn’t want to publish a review so I could keep this place as my little secret, but alas I owe it to the proprietors of this fine establishment. In a nutshell: This is high quality food in a cute, humble atmosphere. The highest quality ingredients, cooked to perfection by people who know what they’re doing and served by people who care that you are enjoying yourself. The service: There were two adorable French women(I’m guessing who own the place) serving us. They were extremely friendly and extremely on the ball. At no point did we ever want for anything or wonder where our server was(which is unfortunately normal in Fort Lauderdale). They were all smiles and pleasant the entire time(not just when they were dealing with us) The food: Places like this are the reason I don’t bother with the garbage tourist traps on Las Olas. If you’re eating at this restaurant it’s because you can discern the difference between fresh and frozen seafood. They use fresh in season ingredients and they are highly trained chefs. This is real food. I had braised corvina and my girl had the scallops. It really doesn’t matter what you order because whatever you order will be the best thing you’ve tasted in a long time. We also had the bread pudding which was out of control good. The small details like the tap water being filtered and the table bread being freshly baked, hot homemade rosemary bread that you could smell coming to the table did not go unnoticed. Bottom line: Make a reservation and get here before I eat all their food!

WOW! What an AMAZING meal! We truly experienced a 5 star meal with 5 star service at a very unassuming establishment. SEA is a «Must Experience» for those who love local cuisine, prepared by local owners that absolutely Bursts with flavor. We were able to dine outside under an umbrella on a beautiful evening with fine wine, excellent service(by the owner, herself) and outstanding food. The restaurant is small and in a strip plaza, but do not be fooled, you WILLLOVE every bite. The Rosemary bread was homemade, the mozzarella/basil appetizer and escargot were melt in your mouth. And the Braised catch of the Day(house special) and the Tuna Bolognese was to die for! Top it all off with delectable homemade gourmet desserts and flavorful café — two words — FOODCOMA! Hope you all enjoy SEA as much as we did!

Making reservations was a snap. The restaurant was empty though when we got their and remained empty until we left(7pm on a Tuesday) however a few people were coming and as we were leaving. The menu has a lot of variety but a little confusing. You choose from an appetizer, a main dish and then dessert. Dinner also comes with bread. I ordered snapper which was delicious however my friend ordered the Mahi and I wish I would have ordered what she did as I liked it a little bit more. We started with the salad which was«OK» in my book. Dessert for me was tiramisu and I would order it again. Ambiance is OK, place is small. Outside seating could be a bit better but the service was great. A little more on the pricier side. All that said… I would dog back.

My sister and her husband are in town and they love to find great places to try wherever they travel. I was in charge of finding a restaurant where the food is unique and delicious. I am so happy to have found SEA Restaurant. This place is pretty amazing. We all thought it was one of the better meals we have had in a long time. From the scallops, to the tuna bolognese, the braised grouper, and the Milo Nelo, all dishes were scrumptious. All 4 of us tried a bite(or two) of each dish. They were all delicious. The appetizers were a great way to start out the meal and the cream of mushroom soup did not disappoint. The steamed shrimp and hummus was light, fresh and delicious. I had the romain, gorgonzola and bacon salad. It was so fresh and sinful with the bacon. Now on to the desert… We had the whiskey cake, vanilla, espresso, and lavender crème brule. I was stuffed but somehow I finished my desert. These deserts are amazing. If you want something different go for the lavender crème brule although the whiskey cake was surprisingly delicious. My sister really loved my espresso crème brule. This restaurant is not inexpensive so with 4– three course meals, a bottle of pouilly fuisse white, and the gratuity will set you back $ 300. Oh but it is so worth it! Use it for a special occasion. There are specials and other dishes on the menu so you can get out of there for less than $ 75 for a dinner for two quite easily. This place is gem. If you are a foodie, check this place out.

went here for dinner last night. it is a tiny restaurant so not much room inside for a waiting area. there were no tables at the time we got there so we were asked to wait outside… it was freezing last night! we waited for about 15 – 20 mns until i had enough and was about to leave. there was an empty table when we got there that had a reservation an hour from when we got there. they wouldnt seat us. cold and hungry, i wanted to leave… but we finally got the servers to finally let us sit inside until one of the tables opened up. SUGGESTION: if you are going to make patrons wait outside or if you have outside seating… get heaters! after we finally got our table, the service was pretty good and so was the food. we ordered: –warm foie gras, it came in a flaky bun with a fig glaze –mushroom soup with dallop of cream and a basil pesto oil and croutons. –the 3 course meal of the duck magret. 3 courses consisted of the escargot provencial which was pretty tasty, then the duck which came with cheesy risotto and a mix of steamed spinach-carrots and grilled zuchinni. the apps and starters were pretty good but the duck was a little disappointing. the plate didnt flow very well and we werent really wowed by it. dessert was a layered crème brûlée– layers were a chocolate ganache underneath the cream. it was good but i wish the chocolate underneath was melted a little more so that you didnt have to work to scoop it out. the restaurant is cute and homey. the food was good. prices were a little high. not sure if i would come back, but i would recommend to others to check out. but make sure to make a reservation if possible!

It’s true, Tony Sindaco has left Florida, thus leaving Sea behind to new ownership. We actually met the new owner last night who said she’s officially owned Sea for 3 days! That being said I have faith that the sous chefs working under Tony are still pumping out his fantastic food because I still thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Sure I don’t think it was quite as great as my first time but it was close and I have faith in Sea to survive. We choose Sea for dinner last night to celebrate my step father’s birthday. He had been with us for our previous dining experience here and was happy to indulge again. It didn’t hurt that we had the Living Social deal either(I guess that was Tony’s way of signally his ultimate departure). The restaurant was half full on a Thursday night, which isn’t a lot of people considering how tiny this place is, but shows that there is still a draw of people regardless of the night. See my previous review for more information on ambiance etc, although I have no idea what changes the new owner plans to make. Quite a nice lady by the way. Also important to note is that the parking lot for the restaurant is close enough to the beach to warrant paying the meter. A little annoying but for 2 hours I think I was charged $ 1.35, so no biggie.(Get the pay by phone app people!) The menu and concept were still the same(for now) only seemed to have gotten a hair more expensive. Either way $ 43ish for a 3 course dinner with large portions doesn’t seem like a bad deal to me. Our stomachs may disagree though because we all drove home hating ourselves for eating so much lol. Menu does change frequently(especially the apps) so I can’t guarantee that you’ll find the same things we ordered. Keep in mind too that specialty apps or desserts may tack on a few more dollars to your price. We started off with the wahoo fish dip, two orders of the steak crostini with mushroom relish and the shrimp bisque. All of which were great. I think all of us imagined biting into the steak crostini and having to wrangle with our teeth through the steak pieces, but the steak was fabulously cooked and it was like biting through butter. Oh and of course the black olive foccacia bread. Yes this was still great. For entrees we went with the braise(grouper), snapper(dijon crusted), sea scallops — all served with a fabulous medley of vegetables and the shrimp rigatoni. Here’s where I’m dropping my review from 5 to 4 stars. We remembered last time wanting to drink the braise sauce. Sure the sauce was still good but not THAT good. The fabulous medley of vegetables also wasn’t quite as fabulous as before… but still this was a solid meal and I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Desserts we got — the chocolate mousse, the black and white crème brûlée, the key lime tart and the strawberry/banana cobbler. Still my favorite key lime tart anywhere! Still one of the best crème brulees I’ve ever had, and wow that cobbler was AMAZING. Seriously if you’re lucky enough to find a night with the cobbler on the menu get it! Again, I can’t be sure that Sea will stay the same way for long. The new owner did mention«changes» but we didn’t ask any of the details or how she plans to change the place. I hope any changes are minor because this is some of the best seafood around… combined with amazing desserts! Good luck Sea, I’ll be rooting for you guys to further succeed!

Sea has been on my radar for awhile now. I love the concept of paying one price for an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. No need to feel guilty about ordering the full course meal as that is just the way it comes. When I saw a Living Social deal for Sea I almost couldn’t believe it and purchased it immediately. Two weeks later I made a Friday night reservation on Open Table and arrived at 8pm. The restaurant was quite busy, but there were a few empty tables, and we were seated immediately. The waiter gave us the menu and explained the concept. At this point I informed my boyfriend that I had pretty much already decided what we were both getting… the waiter overheard and laughed. We placed our order for wine and our appetizers/entrees. The meal flowed very well. Our wine glasses were regularly replenished and the courses were served at a perfect pace. Appetizers: to start we had the mushroom soup(super creamy and delicious, yet light) and the shrimp ceviche(I didn’t get a bite but it looked pretty). Main Courses: Tuna bolognese(this was great, perfectly cooked pasta, the tuna surprisingly goes great with the red sauce, and the portion is HUGE) and the braise of the day which was grouper(great sauce!) Desserts: The famous whiskey cake(yummy, though I wanted more whiskey flavor) and a special chocolate mousse(light with a dark chocolate not-too-sweet flavor). I was equally impressed by the service and the food. Although the atmosphere is a little more casual than one might expect for a seafood restaurant I wasn’t put off by it. The ambiance at night was still lovely. I think the prices are great for what you are getting. A three course meal for somewhere around $ 40 a person for this quality food is a steal. Plus the Living Social it really made for a special date night that didn’t break the bank.
