I’ve lived in South Florida for 29 years(my whole life) and as long as I can remember this has been regarded as the best hoagie in town. My brother is in the military and its tradition that whenever he comes to town we pick him up at the airport and drive straight there! I stick to the turkey sub(on the best bread in the world) because if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. The Monster and Italian are always popular choices amongst my fellow hoagie eaters. Meat is fresh carved after ordering and then thrown down the line onto your bread(again, the bread is so good). Great variety of toppings and awesome, fun, funny staff. It’s a great experience and the best meal to throw in your cooler and take to the beach. Tip– place gets packed, but line moves quick and its so so so worth it!

The best subs in South Florida! I crave these sandwiches on a regular basis. The bread is fresh with a chewy texture… YUM! My favorite sandwich is «The Monster». The product is fresh and the staff is friendly.

Yes, worth waiting for BUT… The most unorganized spot around. Food is great Don’t bother calling ahead. Gave them 2 hour notice and still waited 45 once there

If you want a truly South Philly style delicious hoagie, you gotta stop by this place. I’m from Philly originally, so I know. They pack the meats and cheeses on add extras then top it with more meats! Phenominal!!!

My first time! Excellent! I had the chicken salad, was very weary.nope. minimum amount of mayo. Nice all white chicken chucks, tomato and lettuce on a fresh bun. I ordered a whole deli pickle. Yum. I ordered a 8 inch only ate half. It’s that stuffed. Hubby had the Italian special with the works… he ate all of it. And tried mine. Delicious!

Worst service ever. Very impersonal. Subs are fair even if you can withstand the wait

I stopped by Laspada’s after hearing a few colleagues at work singing it’s praises. I was expecting to get a pretty good sandwich, but instead I got a sandwich that may very well be the BEST sandwich I’ve ever had and having lived in NYC for nearly 40 years, that’s not an easy bar to pass. Everything was super fresh and the staff was fun. Great place! I will be back!

Very good subs and loved watching them make the subs. The meat tasted so fresh and all the topping were the same. Watching them make them was entertaining and made the time in line go by faster.

One of the best sandwiches Ive ever had. I love that they slice the meat right in front of you for each sandwich. These arent fancy sandwiches and thats what makes them so good. I always get the Mama Laspada, which is turkey and salami. You have your choice of white or wheat bread, I get white. Then condiments, mayo and your choice of mustard. You pick and choose from toppings: lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, hot and sweet peppers. Each sandwich is then topped with salt, pepper, Italian herbs, oil, and vinegar. Then all the toppings get tucked in with a second layer of meat. DELIcious. Im moving out of the state soon, and honestly Laspada’s is going to be one of the main things I will miss. If/when I come back for a visit, I will be coming here right from the airport.

We used to live in Fort Lauderdale 2001 to 2007 and came to lauderdale-by-the-Sea location quite offend, we loved it and bragged about these sandwiches! Then we just came to the new location in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea December 2015 The taste is very different it’s not as spicy there’s not as much meat the bread falls apart it’s different it’s not as good! How I was looking forward to that original taste and experience. It didn’t happen.

I’ve only been here once, and I can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in the area. I don’t understand how one hoagie can be so much better than the others, but this one is. The bread is incredibly fresh, the ingredients high quality and add in the entertainment value of watching people literally throw meat and you’ve got a winner. The large sandwich is truly that, large. You will not be disappointed so quit reading and head to Laspada’s.

Hallelujah. A real Italian HOAGIE in south Florida! Growing up outside of Philly, Italian hoagies were a staple of my diet. But they are hard to find. Well, look no further! The meat is freshly sliced to order, the bread is great(its some of the closest to northeast bread I’ve had down here), and it comes with oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and oregano — the way an Italian hoagie is meant to be made! Staff was great — when I walked in they joked that I was going to order a tuna on whole wheat(which made me feel skinny, because, you know, that’s what skinny girls order). They were surprised when I got the Italian, but they jumped right on it. It was ready in seconds. And it was SOCHEAP! Seriously, under $ 10 for a huge Italian hoagie. Are you kidding me?! New hoagie place — check. This will always be my go to hoagie joint!

Just happened to park along the street in front of Laspada’s to go to the nearby arts and craft show at the beach. I just had to grab a hoagie while I was here right? Not to busy when I got there but not to worry, these guys can handle a rush! Struggled to decide whether to go with the Monster or Turkey but finally settled on the small turkey. The Hoagie rolls are baked fresh and are perfect for their signature hoagies. Mayo and spicy mustard to start things off then after flying thru mid air, literally, a heaping help of fresh turkey. Next goes the provolone cheese(feel free to substitute Swiss or ??). Then load it up with toppings like lettuce, tomatoe, onions and your choice of several types of peppers. No, you’re not finished yet, over comes the topper, another layer of turkey. Bam, now you’re done. $ 9.47 including the bag of Doritos and I was out the door. The ultimate sign of satisfaction… wifey says that was way better then the ones you bring home from Publix

Hands down one of the best sub places around. The staff is super friendly and fast. They have about five people working behind the counter so you get your food pretty fast. My husband and I split the 12 inch mama’s laspada which has turkey and salami with all our favorite sub toppings. I usually get the Italian special which is my favorite but I got to say that I really enjoyed the mama’s laspada. The new location is bigger and nicer. The down side is you have to pay to park but it’s worth it. It’s only like 35 cents for 45 mins. Which is really cheap. If you never been here before my top three to try would be the Italian, mama’s and the monster. Can’t go wrong with any of those.

This place is nothing but amazing. We came on a Saturday during lunch time and the line was out the door but we decided to wait since we had heard great things about them. I’m so glad we did. For starters, let’s talk about how interesting it is to watch them make the subs. No really… you need to go when it’s busy and watch this all happen. There is one person at the end of the counter cutting meat, then there is another person taking care of your order. The person taking care of your order preps your sub roll with whatever condiments you want. Then all of a sudden, the person prepping the meat throws the meat(which is already realigned to fit the bun) toward the person prepping it and he catches it perfectly on the bun. I watched the entire time we were there and there wasn’t one time where they missed. So now let’s address the service. It was also nothing short of amazing. Even at their busiest time of day, they were attentive to each customer and extremely nice. The food… also amazing. Their large sub could easily feed four people. Their prices are extrembly reasonable. I had the«It’s a Monster» sub which was jammed with freshly sliced ham, turkey, and perfectly cooked roast beef. Seriously, not one to be missed if you are in the area.
