Gave it a second try & I was disappointed again. I got the kung pao chicken with white rice. The rice was hard & the chicken was rubbery. The veggies didn’t taste fresh. I also got a chicken egg roll that was burnt. You can get much better Chinese food from a take out place for the same price ! I regret spending my money on this

Give this place a second try we went there for the first time for drive thru food was great fresh. Customer service was great via drive through. There was a bit of a wait for the food but worth the wait.

Recent visit to Panda Express revealed that my previous visits were not just bad days. It was not really busy yet some of the selections available were sparse and looked like they had been on the warming table for a while. I asked for something that obviously didn’t have enough left to cook the order. They told me how long it would take as they started making more of the dish. My companions chose things that we available. I noticed that they put in the old with the new as they put my box together. The food was not terrible, it just wasn’t that good. It was more expensive than some of the area takeout Chinese restaurants, but, was not worth the extra money. I don’t think the oil that the egg rolls were cooked in was at the correct temperature. It seemed like they had absorbed more than my recommended daily allowance of oil. With all of the really good choices for Chinese food in the area I am surprised that they aren’t making better food to compete.

Last experience was horrible! They need new staff or this place is not going to make it!!! Rude and lazy is the best way to describe them. So sad because I really love this place but it’s time for a break! Will try again in a few months and give them one last chance! Love, love, love this place! Been going to panda in NC for years waiting for them to open up north! We have been twice now and both experiences were great! Staff was super friendly and good was great! My kids love the orange chicken and sesame chicken!!! I can’t believe the amount of food you get for $ 6.80, what a great value! We will be going back as often as possible! I wish it wasn’t a half hour drive from my house!!!

There has never been a time that I have been able to just. …have my food right then and there without waiting. Nothing is stocked, and no one seems to give a damn which is sad. Also, the consistency is ridiculous! Some nights I’ll come in and ask if I can’t get a 3 plate with no side(veggies, rice, etc) and I’m told it’s ok while other nights I’m told I cannot. What’s worse is its from the same girl!!! Idk what to tell you to fix your customer service but something needs to be done big time…

I have experienced better costumer service. We were rushed. We have had never been here before and because I finally made my choice but my fiancé hadn’t they were rushing us. They were also talking about how long we were taking to make a decision because they didn’t have many decisions for us to choose from. In front of our faces over and over making fun of how long our decisions were taking. That disrespect right there was unacceptable. There was no friendly exchange or welcoming feeling at all. One positive thing is that I loved their shrimp walnut but in all seriousness I would never go back. Also, the prices were way more expensive than regular Chinese food. I wouldn’t recommend going back.

The food is barely passable for Chinese food. It really different from any place in any food court of any mall. But the service is just horrible. They don’t seem like they care. I went inside to order. There was practically no one there and I waited 3 – 5 minutes just standing around before I could order than waited another 3⁄5 minutes to checkout because the person before me was waiting for something to be cooked. Why couldn’t they just let checkout!?!

Went twice. Tiny portions on the main courses, so you are not getting your money’s worth. Mediocre. Maybe ok if you like super sweet sauces, because I tried a lot of their entrees between my party and I and most of them are covered in them. Not a fan.

I don’t know if I went in with high expectations or what but I left very disappointed. It had been at least a decade since it be been to a Panda Express and I was eager to see all the new bells and whistles that they had to offer as they’ve undergone some major rebranding and redesigning. Well it turns out if you show up on a Tuesday night around 6:30 pm they’ll be pretty much out of everything. You want orange chicken? Sorry we’re out of it. Grilled vegetables? It’ll be a few minutes before we can make up a new batch. Maybe we caught them on a bad night? Like maybe minutes before we got there they just finished servicing a huge tour bus of people? Once we did manage to scare up some food it wasn’t as good as I remember. Maybe it was missing too much MSG or BPA, I don’t know. Whatever it was, it left much to be desired. I don’t know. Regardless, I don’t think we’ll be back. The nail in the coffin was when the soda machine was dispensing water in a few of the selections instead of soda.

This is a very tepid three; Panda Express Latham has disappointed us relative to both the standard of previous Panda Expresses and comparable-value AmChi food. The main virtue is the cafeteria-style line, which assures you get your food quickly, and you can get plates to individual tastes quite a bit more easily than a traditional take-out joint. But between lukewarm food(in every sense), being felt like we’re being rushed through line, and the usual disclaimers about Panda Express(heavy on sugars and glutinous sauces, light on interesting spicing and fresh ingredients), I’m not entirely sure we’ll be patronizing this on our regular rotation of «fast enough for a family meal» joints. The Latham location has the virtue of being new(open spaces, not yet dirty/worn down) but the disadvantage of not being easy-in-easy-out from the westbound traffic lanes.

This was my second trip yesterday since Panda Express opened. As we got to the door, staff was there unlocking the doors, at this point of being open an hour I should have known better but we entered. My 6 year old and I went to the counter which was half full of choices. We were told 6 minutes for lo mien noodles and waited and waited. Then waited another 20 for teriyaki chicken. 40 minutes after arriving we had food. Obviously there was a staffing issue, two cooking and one working drive thru and counter. Everything was wrung up at drive thru register, which was out of sight. Should have turned around when the door was being unlocked!

Stopped in for takeout lunch. I’m pretty fussy about Asian cuisine. I really only like one local, family owned place. First, the prices. Way, way, way overpriced for what you get. These little boxes(maybe ½ pint sized) boxes were $ 3.75 each. The box itself was cute(and probably cost more than the food in it). You got at most, six bites. Tried the beef and broccoli in brown sauce and husband tried the orange chicken. The orange chicken had a decent kick in sauce, but I don’t think it was any better than something I would find in the freezer section at the grocery store. The beef with brown sauce tasted frozen(I’m sure it is, I expect that). The broccoli was hard, it definitely needed a few more moments of microwaving(hey, let’s be honest, they aren’t making this fresh). The beef didn’t seem right, I had to double check that it was actually beef and not chicken. You are offered chopsticks or forks. The place was empty. There was plenty of parking. To me, the real taste of any Chinese restaurant is the egg rolls. If the egg rolls are good, then I’m willing to try more. These egg rolls were terrible. They were very narrow(but not quite spring roll size). They were burnt. There was no identifiable flavors in the egg rolls itself. The only positive thing about the place was the location. It’s got a red light making it easier to exit and enter. Tried it but won’t be back. Not worth the money. I’ll stick with my favorite family owned Chinese restaurant.

Ok, so here is what you need to know. This is Americanized fast Chinese food. This is nothing like the Chinese food that you get from your neighborhood«Double Dragon» or other such establishments. This is is quick and tasty Chinese food. Things worth mentioning: –I have yet to meet anyone of Asian descent at any one of the several Panda Expresses that I have been to all over the country. This location is all English speaking staff. They are friendly enough. I’m here to eat, not jaw jack. –The food is high in sodium. If you are watching your salt intake, tread lightly, because you will top out your daily max by getting one helping of meat. That’s before anything else –The beef is a little on the tough side –The overall quality beats the mall without any question. So that being said — my experience here was good overall. The Orange Chicken was great. The Beef was«eh» which cost a star in my review. The egg roll was also a little too crispy. I didn’t finish it for that reason, which cost another star on my review. The line was short and I got my food quickly, so that’s good karma right there. Also the staff was friendly. If I go again and the egg rolls are not like biting into wood, I’ll revise this rating to add another star. In conclusion — will come back, but not for a while. Orange chicken was great. Rice was tasty.

Do NOT eat here. I went in with my girlfriend to try it on her behalf. I walked in on my own excited to try it and just left. You should never eat chinese food made by a bunch of 19 year olds. The take out bowl even says«gourmet chinese» on it, but it’s FAR from it. That’s like calling taco bell gourmet mexican food. It tastes like a banquet 1 $ microwave dinner. I got chow mein, sweetfire chicken, and kung pow chicken. My lady got white rice and teriyaki chicken. I also grabbed some crab rangoons as a side, along with drinks. Our order came to 20 $, which I’d say is pretty expensive for fast food. While their drinks are pretty generous in size for 2 $, none of the soda tasted right. I dont know if it was the machine or what but I grabbed some sprite and it was awful. I asked for a new cup, which the girl was very nice about, and got mountain dew. It also tasted off. My girlfriend seemed to also dislike the lemonade, as she barely drank any of it. So we sit down and we split the order of crab rangoon. Not only were they all burnt but tasted like they’d been sitting for a WHILE. I could really only eat the little soft part where the crab/cream cheese was and at least that tasted reasonable. Nothing special but maybe fresh from the frier they taste a little better. So the chow mein, which I was expecting the normal greasy, slithery taste of, was VERY dry, and tasteless. The worst part is it looks pretty appitizing, and usually I ALWAYS love Chinese noodles, even the«awful-for-you» microwavable ones, but these were pretty bad. I then tried my chicken. To my surprise, the sweetfire chicken was actually pretty good. Anything with pineapple in it usually peaks my taste buds. The sauce was probably the only reason the chicken was«tender», and by tender I just mean soft enough to chew. As soon as I tried my kung pow chicken I went right back to disappointed. Again it looked appetizing and seemed like the sauce should have made it maybe moist or chewy, but it was tough to bite into and VERY dry. Overall my girlfriend was fine with her food, but said the chicken was pretty dry also. The white rice was white rice, it’d be pretty hard to mess that up and gladly they did not. Needless to say, I had an overall bad experience. I also spent the last 4 hours throwing up to get it all out of my body. I work early mornings and had to LEAVEWORK my stomach was in such shambles. Even after a few shots of pepto bismol, my stomach is in awful shape. DONOTEATHERE. For the price you could just get regular Chinese food in almost the same amount of time with much less stomach issues! *I would like to add, at least the employees were very nice. They offered samples immediately and were very nice about my drink tasting weird. The service is decent, the food is awful.

I have always been a huge fan of Panda Express, the orange chicken is vastly better than any mall food court chinese places, actual white meat chicken, the staff is very friendly, and loved the food I have already been here to this specific restrung 3 times. One thing the wait staff does need to work on is cleaning the lobby tends to get little messy, but I blame the patrons who eat there, otherwise great place for a quick bite. So glad to finally have this in Albany, beats McDonalds, Burger king or Wendy’s anyway.

What are you expecting? Gourmet Chinese cuisine? Quit being stupid. Its Chinese-American fast food ok. So with that in mind I’m thinking about getting a pretty good portion of food for under $ 8. I haven’t gone inside yet so I can’t speak for the interior conditions. The drive-thru experience was fast and friendly offering a sample of whatever I wanted like at your local mall’s food court. The food comes in a Styrofoam container(which I’m not a fan of) and the food gets spooned in buffet style. The taste is what you expect it. No MSGBUT it is either too salty or too sweet. I had the grilled teriyaki chicken(sauce on the side), orange chicken with steamed veggies for my side dish. Now the chicken portions are scooped in the the smaller divided sections and you can either get white/brown/fried rice, chow mein or steamed veggies in the larger section. So I didn’t fall in love with the place but I didn’t get disgusted and hate it neither. So if you’re looking for a quick bite if Americanized Chinese food at a low cost then give a shot. If you want authentic Chinese cuisine, you’re in the wrong place buddy.

Average Chinese fast food. Tried the online ordering, they seemed baffled when I went to pick up my order. Had to sit around to wait for them to prepare it. The food is OK, at best. I can only compare it to frozen /microwave food. I had the Black Pepper Chicken and the Mushroom Chicken w/white rice. It was OK. The Orange Chicken and String Bean Chicken were good, more flavor then the other dishes. You get two entrees and a side. OK value for your money. They have a kids menu, desserts, fountain drinks. Eat here for familiarity or convenience.
