Tried this place again today. They had only been open a short time before my last experience, and seeing their star rating(and craving a salad) I decided to conclude my trip to the killer chocolate store next door by getting something to go. I was greeted immediately and warmly by the cook in the kitchen who told me someone would be with me shortly. After about a minute three young women walked to the register while finishing a story about ‘well he better this’, and ‘he better that’. They concluded their conversation about not going with ‘him’ this weekend, while I stared at them, concerned I had interrupted their important conversation. When one of them coldly asked what I wanted, was ZERO help in explaining to me how the custom salad process worked, and left me totally confused about what I had ordered. The salad came fairly quickly, luckily, as these women returned immediately to their previous conversation. When I started eating the salad I was reminded why this place is not someplace I will frequent again– how hard is it to make tasty steak– completely unseasoned and tough– and a vinaigrette that doesn’t taste exclusively of vinegar. I have no trouble paying $ 10 for a tasty salad– but if the components have no appeal– you’re throwing money away. There is simply no reason to take part in a Mean Girls episode to eat bland/thoughtless food. I won’t return, even when visiting the delicious chocolate place next door– which I highly recommend!!!

Wish I’d happened upon this place sooner! Happy to have a place where I can custom build a healthy salad to my likings on the go!

First time here with my lovely wife. I had the Shrimp Po Boy Wrap and she the Chicken avocado wrap. Both are large wraps and were really delicious. I had the kettle cooked chips, which were a little salty for my tastes but her pesto pasta salad was very tasty. I wish I’d tried the red potato salad. Definitely next time.

Came here for lunch during a business trip and ordered the Cobb Salad. The salad was good and HUGE! Lots of chicken, avocado and blue cheese. My only comment is that I expected the hard boiled egg pieces to be visible-they were crumbled and looked like the cheese. The pleasant and delicious surprise was the red velvet mini-cupcake that came with the meal. I understand that Crisp is new. I wish them success.

Fast causal dining that specializes in fresh salads. Went there for lunch with two co-workers. Each salad was a decent size and cost $ 10-$ 12. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the dining area was clean and bright. Crisp is not fancy but for those in search of a quick and healthy lunch you could do much worse.

We ordered to go. Extremely friendly and helpful. Food is way off. Wings were ok. Philly cheese steak is in the pictures. There are HUGE tomato pieces with the nasty core in tact. No cheese. There is no more than 2 ounces of meat. $ 12 for that. No Wow. Great interior. Great people. Food blows

Happy to have a salad place near work, as most of my options were sandwiches or burgers. Went in for lunch the other day. The interior is sort of casual upscale, I guess? I don’t know design stuff… Anyway, I ordered the«black n bleu» sandwich — steak with caramelized onions, blue cheese crumbles, and aioli on ciabatta. The steak itself was pretty underwhelming — it sort of tasted like the pre-cooked steak you buy in the refrigerated section to put on salads. The bread wasn’t bad, but it didn’t have the heavy chew you expect in ciabatta. I also don’t understand why there were roasted peppers — the description didn’t say anything about them. I don’t like them, but they’re easy to pull off. The sandwich came with a side and I chose the pesto pasta salad — it was absolutely fantastic, but came in a condiment cup, so there was probably only about a quarter of a cup’s worth. Not nearly enough. There was also a nice little red velvet cupcake on the side — a great, unexpected bite. My wife got a chicken Caesar and was very impressed. Given that I liked the sides and she loved her salad, I know this place has serious potential. I guess I ordered the wrong item or something, but I know I need to come back for a salad. I’ll update my review accordingly.

Just went here for the first time for lunch with coworkers. This place is awesome! Fresh ingredients, a lot of toppings and choices for vegetarians, vegans as well which I appreciate as a vegetarian. Definitely recommend this place and plan to be back very soon!

We have found a new home for salads and wraps. When we walked in it just had a great atmosphere about it that drew us in then we had the joy of having a salad for my wife and a wrap for me with an added potato salad that took me back to my grandmothers house. No leftovers from here needed because the portions are just right. My wrap was the steak wrap and it had rrp and some awesome sauce in it. See you all again soon! I highly suggest Crisp for anyone who likes great food at a great price.

This place has high hopes for being one our new go-to salad-sandwich places. It opened a little over a month ago. The menu includes customizable salads, wraps, wings, fries, and wedge salad. The décor inside is charming and Southern with its white molding and distressed whitewashed furniture. I couldn’t help myself, I built a Romaine salad with steak, chickpeas, egg, avocado and carrot(don’t judge me). I opted for the truffle oil dressing that I later found myself regretting slightly not because it was bad but because it was a little too earthy for my taste. Bad choice on my part. The salad itself was great, lettuce crisp and fresh. The steak was grilled fresh on the spot, although a few pieces were a little underdone for my taste but I guess I didn’t specify when I ordered so my bad. My husband got the apple cider BBQ boneless chicken wings that were were spicy, sweet, and flavorful with each and every bite. Soooo good! They left me wanting for more. To top the meal off they brought us two mini red velvet cupcakes so they quickly made their way into my heart because they found my kryptonite. . The music was a little loud for my taste but the ambience was nice. It would definitely make for a nice lunch date. There were families there with children so definitely family friendly. All in all a strong showing for a place that’s only been open a month. Try it and see for yourself.

I’ve been going here since the day they opened. In the first week my husband and I went there three times. I’ve brought family, friends, and I was a huge fan. Sadly, the longer I go the more the quality and attention to detail dimishes. Each of the last three times has been problematic. First was when I ordered my favorite sandwich(something I’d gotten several times before) and they put an ingredient in it that isn’t on the menu and I happen to be allergic to. When I brought it to the attention of the girl at the counter she told me it IS on the menu(it clearly isn’t) and then sort of rolled her eyes when I said I was allergic. The second time I got take out to bring to my home and they forgot the dressing. I called and to the owner’s credit he would have brought it to me, but I’d never ask that of anyone. I was told«I’d be taken care of» the next time I was in but, a few weeks later, that wasn’t remembered. The last straw was with another take-out order. The dressing was really awful and not at all what it normally is. It was the truffle-oil vineagrette but this time it was made with red wine vinegar and not the champagne(maybe, white wine?) vinegar. It completely changed the flavor profile since the red wine is so pungent. We were also charged $ 2.50 for a piece of bread when in the past we were always charged $ 1.00. In terms of a place that charges $ 10 for a salad I think it would be wise to include a small piece of bread for free. If they could just stick to the menu and maintain consistency in quality and cost I’d still be a customer but I hate not knowing what I’m going to get.

This is my new favorite lunch stop. I love that I can make my own salad with as many toppings as I like. They allow 4 toppings and anything over is .79 cents. The jalapeño ranch dressing was the one I chose and it was perfect. They have a choice of other dressings. Crisps also serve sandwiches, wraps and soups. A nice touch was the four mini cupcakes they delivered to our table. Perfect ending to a great lunch. Highly recommend Crisp.

Crisp. So simple in its name and appearance this place is great for a nice, healthy lunch. Menu is a little busy but their steak salad is excellent! Lettuce was Krispy and the steak cooked just right. Service was very quick and place was clean. Nice touch with the baby dessert!

This is our first time here. Fabulous staff! The food was fast and had a lot of flavor. We had teriyaki wings and the shrimp po’boy. My daughter could not decide so they made her a grilled cheese(not on menu). The perfect place when you are home late and don’t feel like cooking. Definitely coming back!

My first visit here was very pleasant! Atmosphere was nice and the gentleman whom I am assuming is the owner was friendly and attentive. I can’t remember which salad I ordered but it came with chicken and bacon and a bunch of other goodies in it. The lettuce was fresh and cut perfectly in nice bite sizes and they bring it to you when you sit down. Towards the end of your meal one of the workers even brought out a cute mini cupcake for you to enjoy after. All in all I can never complain about a delicious and well-portionsized salad with fresh ingredients. I will definitely be coming again.

Just dined for the first time here this evening. My first impression was that it was most likely a new chain that I hadn’t heard of yet, stepping up to compete with Panera. From what I searched online, I found nothing other than this location. So first off, hats off to them for doing a great job with their branding, appearing very much established and professional. I’m all about supporting the independent business owner so I was really hoping that this was gonna be good. When my fiancé and I arrived, they were in the middle of a small rush. They kept their cool and were able to work through things, which I love seeing. Anybody can get mad during a rush, but those who keep their composure are meant to be in this industry. I think once they fine tune some organizational aspects of their line, this place will be like clock work during their rush hours. I can’t get over how welcomed we were as customers. These guys just get it. What it means to be hospitable, and share your love for others through food. At least that was my overall first impression, especially from the management. They even delivered two mini cupcakes to our table after our meal. It was delightful. This quality in addition to the décor of the inside equates to a warm ambience. Nice TV in the back too. That all being said, the food is phenomenal! Right up my alley. I can’t even tell you how much money I have spent at Panera already this year, and I do enjoy their food. Crisp is better, for sure. We split a salad and we ordered a sandwich and a wrap. I was so satisfied with everything. This is how restaurants should be. Not trying to see how many pages long their menu can be, but more focusing on the quality of ingredients and preparation of the food. Thanks for choosing Newton Plaza as your location. Best of luck to you, we’ll be back soon.
