The Meridian At Hughes Center

Location is fantastic.
I am a current long term lessee through a private property management company, I have no problem with property manager. I love my floorplan and the luxurious upgrades not found in the local apartment complexes I have viewed.
However…parking is a nightmare, you are only allowed one space underground per unit and if you are a couple one is left to fend for themselves for an outside parking space near your unit against weekly renters, employees, vendors, and on occasion previous renters who miraculously gain access thru the «security gate» just for close parking to the strip.
Speaking of security… WHAT A JOKE! in October 2014 a new security company was contracted in order to «clean up the place» as we were led to believe. Yes they changed their uniforms, but their performance leaves much to be desired.
During the day, as a resident attempting to enter thru the resident gate you are scrutinized each and every time you try to enter, but late at night it is a completely different scenario. These guys will allow access to anyone thru the gate without checking for residency. I have witnessed prostitutes assaulting each other and cab drivers only to be allowed access to the property, again without checking for residency. I have seen men waiting outside the drive thru gate at early morning hours (because they do not have an access card) run thru the drive thru gate with absolutely no response from the Guard on duty. I have personally been required to show ID even though I have a gate access card. They are quite selective as to who they allow thru the gates and it appears that if you are a party girl, drug dealer, club promoter, sex trafficker or prostitute then you have a free pass. The HOA and management allows and supports this practice.
Security is also supposed to monitor the parking area for cars that are parked with no or expired parking credentials and mark those vehicles for towing. They do not follow up on this.
They are responsible for keeping noise levels down yet they do not respond to residents attempting to enter the drive thru gate and horns are constantly blowing (guards have been witnessed sleeping in the guard shack) and partiers are allowed to make noise at late night/​early morning hours all week long with no consequence sometimes the guards even join in the merriment.
Clean up the security issues, short term rentals, and prostitution and the element that comes along with this trade, and this would be a very, very nice place to live.

Don’t ever stay in the Meridian condos. Their toilets are always clogged. The AC pipes leak ⁴⁄₅ times in summer time.
Their plumbers are the worst people ever.
The plumbers ruined my room carpet, closet carpet and floor with their muddy black shoes (Not one time but many times) .Because of the clogged sinks my toiletries were damaged (worth $ 200 stuff). And because of the AC pipes leakage my expensive drycleaned clothes were spoiled.
After complaining to the management lady several times there was no improvement. The management lady always blames us for the problems.
I am not happy with the management…
After staying here for more than 10 months I think it’s time to move out instead of wasting my money.
