Newman Property Management

I Lived in a property managed by this company. My lease was up in 30 days sent Brenda a noticed that i would move out of the unit, I moved out as I had told her, I dropped off the key in a night drop, a week later. I recently pulled my credit report to find out that I had been wrongly evicted from this property. I sent Brenda a copy of the letter along with her response, and I asked her how could she evict me, as I no longer lived in the unit, her harsh and unprofessional response was shocking. I’m currently fighting with this company to set this right. IF I WERE YOU I WOULD’NT MOVE INTO ANY UNIT THESE GUYS ARE MANAGING.

I just can’t thank u Brenda enough for all u have done for me. Once again this woman has left me in awe on how much she really cares about her tenants. I was in a hard place this last month due to my disasabily and she help me tremendously by not only understanding and letting me be late but did the most genuine thing an person could ever do. She truly is amazing. Now that I am getting my disability and will never have to be late on my rent is a blessing, but my true blessing through my whole ordeal was Brenda newman for always working with me to make sure my kids and I never worried about having a roof over our heads while I went through this horrible time of illness and loosing my ability to work and awaiting my disability. I just want to thank u Brenda and your team for making my experience as stressless as possible. All I ever had to do was communicate with her and she never his hesitated to help me through my hardship. I will never go through another property management company as long as I have to rent… You are my guardian angel. I can’t thank u enough. Love My boys and I!

Horrible customer service, been a week since my friend put in his application, been checking with the owner with no response. Never answer the phone and never return calls, I wouldn’t let them manage anything and after reading other posts told me friend to run Forest run!

Avoid at all costs. Everyone above is correct. Brenda is rude, company will garnish your deposit, and will not take care of their resident’s property. You’ll get a property with maintenance issues that they will put on you to fix and in my case they flat out said they would not fix things. Run.

class action! my name is seanna benge and i have the resources tio help with this travesty that is happening to newman property tenants. i could write a list of complaints that all sound like yours. ridiculous shameful treatment of good tenants. this will be dealt with in a manner of the law that newman properties obviously has not been challenged with and has been taking advantage of persons who do not have the means to help themselves. i however do and would love to help!!!

Too bad I can’t give it a zero star… if you are even considering renting a property from Brenda and her company, then, RUN, run as far as you can! We have excellent rental history as my husband is a Chef and we move a lot. We value being good tenants and have always gotten our full deposit back. We became enamored with a property in Desert Shores that had the lake in the back yard. The property was a hot mess when we moved in. Poop in the toilet, walls were filthy, dead scorpions all over the place. I thought she would have at least cleaned it before moving in. We took over 100 pics of everything! The place was falling apart. She has a fix it man that comes to do repairs and doesn’t know what he was doing. They painted over dirty cupboards and so the food and gunk was stuck inside the paint, they replaced the tile on the kitchen counters with mismatched sizes so the counter was uneven, all the carpet was torn in the corners and lifting up… wrote all this down with the pics when we moved in and was told that the landlord didn’t want to put anymore into the house, it was ‘as is’ He did agree to pay for the side window that was cracked and had a huge hole on it. Now, we were fine with this because of the great back yard. What we didn’t know was that the owner had intended on selling the place and hired Brenda to be his realtor. Our last two months in the home was showing the house to complete strangers for Brenda who didn’t make one appearance. We paid a $ 1600 deposit and got back $ 300. We filed a complaint and sent the pics in. Apparently, everything was worse after we moved in. Really? After only 10 months living in the property? I think they used our deposit money to help fix the place up to sell because no one wanted it. I really don’t think the owner knew how bad Brenda and her company let the place go. When trying to work the situation out, Brenda was completely unprofessional and had her son (who looks like he just walked in from a lengthy stay in prison) deal with it. We are talking to a lawyer. In writing this, I hope to spare someone a lot of headache. Please read other reviews before signing on the dotted line. I wish we did!

FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD
I would give minus 5 stars if I could. Just like the other review the lady was totally correct.
These people are out for themselves. They will charge you for everything. Upon moving I left the place move in ready. Carpets cleaned professionally, had a professional cleaning company come in, I filled holes from pictures and spot painted whole house. Cleaned the yard and washed the garage. I did everything that was asked of me and it even specified on their lease. When turning in the keys I also turned in receipts showing the work done. They took the whole 30 days to give me my deposit back and shorted me almost $ 800.00 charging me for cleaning carpets, paint, and cleaning the house when I already did the work for them. I am getting charged twice. I also had an altercation with Brenda about the rent one time. I bounced a check by accident and they charged me $ 300.00 when I realized that the check did not go through I immediately payed in cash, then they put the check through again after I paid and overdrew my account. Stay far away from this place. The parolee working the front tried to rip us off $ 300.00 by making the receipt short. I am glad I noticed that or I would be out that money too.
HORRIBLE, AWEFUL PLACE, NEVER TRUST THESE PEOPLE

The woman who owns this business is beyond rude and unprofessional; she is downright nasty. Before my daughter and her roommate even moved into an apt managed by Newman, Brenda sent us a slew of nasty threatening messages to «get that guy out of my property» (HER property?) because she had forgotten that we had already sent her his application and app fee. There is a $ 75 deductible you have to pay for any repair not reported the first week, so you’re stuck paying for property repairs such as stopped up toilet, broken fridge, broken garbage disposal etc whose malfunctions don’t manifest til after the first week. Also, they will charge you $ 50 to replace a lost key even though they have a key machine in their office so it costs them like $ 1. The office help looks like he’s on parole … Falling down pants, backwards baseball cap, tattoos, etc. I’m all for expressing yourself and rehabilitating people who have served time BUT PULL UP YOUR DAMNED PANTS.
