We had just finished a marathon drive from Vegas through Death Valley into the Sequoia Park, up the coast to the Redwood Park and back down the coast to Pismo Beach and back to Vegas all in 10 days, about 3,000 miles. We don’t gamble and don’t care anything about the strip so after doing my homework and checking reviews I called this place. A rude man with a very heavy Indian accent told me the motel had been recently renovated, the rooms had kitchenettes complete with utensils and were newly painted. He said it had everything we needed to stay. It sounded perfect for what we wanted and was close to the airport. He wanted to know when we would be there but since we were driving in from CA the best I could tell him was mid afternoon. We drove up to an empty office at exactly 3:00 pm. My husband rang both bells for service, the phone was ringing off the wall and nobody was there. The sweet little cleaning lady noticed that we were waiting a long time and came in to the office and through a door to another room and out came the manager. He had been sleeping(more like passed out) the entire time. He was still groggy from his nap, completely out of it and really rude to us until my husband gave it right back to him and then he changed his tune. We were tired from traveling and just wanted to get into our room and rest so we paid him for 4 nights and went to our third floor room. This guy is a complete liar. The room had not been renovated in years, it was in serious need of a paint job, no kitchenette(mini frig only) and we never did find the utensils. We should have thrown a fit and demanded a refund and left but we just wanted to get some sleep and stay in one spot for the rest of our vacation so we stayed. The next morning the manager called to tell us that he had made a mistake on our bill(imagine that) and we needed to come to the office with our credit card and pay another $ 72. Like I said before he was out of it. Being close to the airport is nice but the building is directly in the flight path for planes landing all day and night. Some fly so low that you can feel the vibration. Across the road is a truck stop. The semi trucks come and go 24⁄7 or just sit and run all night. The lights from the Silverton and the truck stop lit our room up all night. There is a bar that adjoins the office in the parking lot that never closes. You can hear drunks fighting, singing, coming and going, and car alarms sounding all night. We heard the manager arguing with people more than once and one guy threatened to punch him in the face. I’m guessing he was lied to as well. We were just ready to go home. I checked for an earlier flight out and we had missed it. This was a terrible end to our vacation. Oh, no frigging donuts either. This place must have changed hands since the nice reviews were written. I don’t usually write reviews but maybe this will save someone else from the same fate.

We had a good experience here, the room was comfortable enough and clean, free doughnuts and coffee available in the office for bfast. A little pricey but we did the reservation the day before, and it was weekend, so maybe you can get better deals reserving with a few days in advance.

Great little find for a night or two, and you get a lot for the price. Free Wifi, coffee and donuts, mini fridge, nice water pressure, cozy bed and very efficient AC unit! We did not want to pay $ 200+ for a hotel on the strip Friday night due to our late arrival. This place was just the ticket!

Great place, excellent customer service. Beautiful remodeled rooms, free WIFI, more than 70TV Channels, and 3HBO Channels. You can either book through or through , or call ahead to reserve your room. No bad traffic there, the location is safe, and a five minute drive to the Las Vegas Strip. There are Serta mattresses in every room, and you will sleep like a dream. The motel is close to shopping centers, grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurants, The 15 freeway is easy to access right around the corner. The prices there are the best in Las Vegas for a nice, safe, clean, and no drama place to stay.

This place gets five stars for customer service! I just had a terrible experience across the street at a place called the Silverton hotel. The Silverton Hotel wanted to take a deposit directly from my bank account and not return it until checkout which I refused. They would not accept cash without it. The Highland Inn Across the street rescued me! The Manager was willing to work with me on a great rate and he gave me a very lovely room. The hotel is close to shopping and lots of restaurant options it is also just down the street from the strip. It has very clean rooms, free Internet, refrigerator and a nice Panasonic 32″ flatscreen tv. Thehe rooms are upgraded and roomy. Great customer service beats discrimination in my book any day! I’ll be. Staying here when ever I’m staying the night in Vegas !

$ 70 for a Saturday night. It was basic, clean, and quiet. Not too far of a drive from the strip. For being the type of hotel it was, it was good. No complaints here. Free doughnuts in the AM!

Exactly what it should be — a nice-ish value option off the Strip. They seem to have done some recent remodeling so it was even nicer than I was anticipating. There was a king bed(with pillow top mattress cover), desk, fridge and a patio table(indoors…) with chair. Not very fancy, but you can’t beat the price!

This is a $ 50 per night hotel 10 minutes from The Las Vegas Strip. Hello?! There was one other 3 year old review on Unilocal about this hotel, I’m glad I disregarded it. I had no complaints about the cleanliness or amenities of my room. Free Wi-Fi, King Size Bed, Non-Smoking Room, A/C, Cable, a Desk & Table and a Compact Refrigerator. I’m sorry that I forgot to take a pic of the inside of the room. The room was cleaned and towels re-stocked every day that I stayed there. No hotel ‘comforter’ is to be trusted [in answer to the other review]. Yes, the place has been there a few years and from the outside doesn’t look like much. I remind you it cost $ 50 per night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. So you have to drive to find anything but Burger King or Subway to eat, chalk it up to how much you saved while you slept.

This place is the epitome of «dive». It’s not yucky or gross, just very much 1 star. You get a bed and a mostly clean room(although who knows what kinds germs are on the comforter). It’s about 3 miles from the strip, in the middle of nowhere, and the price is cheap(usually about $ 70). I’ve stayed there several times, as I’m in Vegas for family(not for the Strip). So if budget accommodations are your thing, and you don’t mind base basic and divey, this place is fine.
