I used to bring my family here as a treat. The burgers were to.die.for! Big fat yummy, tender, juicy, seasoned ground beef, just like dad used to bbq. Today, I got a tough, tasteless, cardboard replica of a Sams club or Costco bulk frozen patty. Since when does 100% ground beef have 90 degree hard edges? The bun was soaked in grease, and it was essentially a crunchy chewy greasy blob of gunk. The saving grace were the fries and beautifully blended Coke.(Note: your $ 7.99 burger only comes as a burger — no fries, salad or even a pickle. Your fries are gonna set you back another three bucks on any dog, sandwich or entrée.) I’m so sad. When I was craving an old fashioned thick, juicy, tasty burger on a toasted warm bun, I’d run to Great Links. Now, I’m off south bound to SkinnyFats.

This is a grill, cooked to order in open kitchen. This is a great place to meet a friend, have a cold beer, great dog, watch a game, tease the staff(they flip it right back). Now this isn’t a family atmosphere, or a place designed with high end service or patient wait staff… this is an old school grille… like it should be. Try a Mob Boss Dog with Italian Fries. and a freaking cold beer. Good job guys!

Delicious! I have been here several times and tried both burgers and dogs they offer. My favorite thus far is their Vegas Chili Dog. It is smothered in their white sage chili which is unique and delicious! They offer many varieties of beer and a delicious root beer float to settle that sweet tooth. Staff is delightful and it’s a fun casual environment.

My friend took me here to great links. I ordered the old west burger and sweet potato French fries. Both were excellent and delicious. My friend ordered the Italian beef sandwich and a New York hot dog. He said they were awesome. The Owner is very friendly and greets many of his customers including us.(like the Mayor)

Good food, small place. They have a nice selection of dogs, sausages, and burgers as well as multiple versions of French fries. I enjoyed my beer brat served mob boss style, which included mushrooms, grilled onions and peppers, marinara sauce, and two mozzarella sucks. The Italian fries were okay — heavy on the Parmesan cheese, light on the garlic butter sauce and Italian seasonings. I had a taste of my boyfriends Italian beef sandwich and it was the best of the bunch with a decent portion of beef, grilled peppers, and a nicely flavored au jus for dipping. Definitely worth going back!

OMG! If you haven’t been here it’s a must try absolutely amazing food. The staff is awesome. Every single thing I’ve had is amazing. Wet Italian beef, different hot dogs, especially the one with marinara and mozzarella sticks omg to die for! Last time I ordered the beef and cheddar wow delicious! My boyfriend is from Chicago and we just love the food, beer and pleasant staff. Awesome place!

As first timers we looked forward to trying this place out. We didn’t realize that we’d have to know beforehand exactly what we wanted to eat and that we should refrain from looking over the whole menu to choose what we wanted. The server was an impatient jerk who made it blatantly clear that we were inconveniencing him in some way. He appeared annoyed and rushed us making us feel a little stupid that we didn’t know we were supposed to know what type of fries we wanted. If we had a nickel for every sigh he made during our order, it would’ve paid for dinner. If it weren’t for having a hungry child in tow, we would have walked out midorder. To top it off, this gem of a server had the same blue rubber gloves on that he used to handle food with during the order. The same ones he had on during check out for other people and the same ones he brought soda with. Not the cleanest. Other patrons expressed the same annoyance to this guy’s demeanor. Who knows why he was such a jerk. Food was ho hum, especially since we felt so unwelcomed and rushed at 6pm on a Monday night. Not as we had anticipated at all. Horrible experience. Plus side, there was a kids menu. Will never go back or recommend to anyone.

Now Great Links is not a place I think most people should visit more than a few times a year. Yes, the menu items are very tempting and on days when you are craving calorie adding and artery clogging foods, this is the place to go. I was excited to see they offer veggie options and that is what I ordered: vegetarian chili and vegetarian hot dog plus a side salad. Most other items are fried, covered in cheese and sauces. I see this place as somewhere to stop by to watch the game, have a beer and eat some fried foods. The open kitchen with the bar next to it is very inviting to chat with the employees. There aren’t very many seats other than that so maybe getting items to go is another option. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning on the floors and such– it felt a bit grimy to me. Also, I saw an employee serve himself a fountain drink and drink it in the kitchen. Later the same employee scratched his head/neck while behind the counter next to the stove. I don’t know, the heavy greasy foods and the lack of cleanliness of the place are enough for me to pass on this as a choice next time I am in the area.

My brother came to visit from LA and he always uses Unilocal… So he found this place and said there was good reviews and we would try it… We went and LOVEDIT! I have been back many times since. I just don’t recommend going when they first open.

When you are looking for inexpensive and calorie filled food this is the place to stop. The chili cheese hotdog my wife had was tasty. My mushroom swiss burger was well cooked and had a huge amount of mushrooms and almost too much cheese. The French fries were good and the tater tots, which I don’t normally enjoy were perfectly crispy and actually hard to put down. My chocolate milkshake was large and just the right thickness with a nice amount of whip cream.

Once again in Vegas hunting down great gluten and dairy free food with good taste. We came to Great Links looking for their organic salad, but they were out. It turned out awesome though. Most of their sausages and hot dogs are gf! And they were happy to make a grilled chicken sandwich protein-style for my friend. My polish sausage was beautifully presented. The French fries were yummy and the homemade fry sauce was plentiful and quite excellent! Really loved the root beer on draft.(It took me back to my Midwest days.) Michelle was super cool and took wonderful care of us. Everyone there was really friendly. We’ll definitely come back. Later note… Something had gluten unfortunately. I think it was either the butter alternate used to grill the onions or the special fry sauce(malt vinegar?). Ask if you are super sensitive. They are really nice.

This place is super close to my house and have been coming here for years. If your looking for yummy comfort food then eat here! The staff is super friendly and they always recognize us when we come in! We always sit at the bar, we like watching the food get cooked! Great family owned establishment. Great prices. Extensive menu options and yummy food! **TIP: This place can get very busy, only one fry cook and one griller. But it’s well worth the few extra minutes it takes to get your food!

In fairness, we have never done take out from Great Links, and after last night, we won’t do take out again. The brand new employee, thrown on the phone orders at dinner time, had the worst phone skills of any adult I’d ever met. It took him 10 mins to write out the following order: 1 onion ring 1 crinkle fry 1 veg ck patty with buffalo sauce, minus dairy. 1 veg patty with mushrooms, no dairy. I requested extra raw onions. 10 minutes of telling me uh hold on, while he wrote. P/u time 20 to 25 mins. We arrived in 15. Our food was already bagged and waiting. We took it home, the 10 mins it took to get inside and put our food on plates, the fried food had saturated the paper bags and the bottoms fell out. The burgers sucked. I never take pics of food for reviews, but was so pissed off to have spent 24 $ on this quality of food, with 2 $ as a tip. No onions at all on my burger, and at best 5 slices of mushrooms. The previous time we ate in, roughly a month ago, they were extremely short handed and the cooks were made to serve tables. The same order above did take them 25 minutes, which is crazy long. As chefs by trade we know about being short handed in the kitchen. This happens, but it seems like Great Links is trying to cut cost, and in turn they’re going to lose business. We love going here as a go to near our house, so I hope Great Links gets their stuff together.

Had been eager to give this place a try and now I regret even stepping a foot in the door. Service was elementary at best but the food was absolutely horrible. Appearance wise, food got an A+ but once we took a bite it was very disappointing. My wife had a patty melt which had no flavor while I had a Philly cheese steak that had everything but the steak. The bread fell apart as soon as I picked it up and lacked flavor as well. We were really eager to try this place out but ended up disappointed. Sorry but ain’t coming back

I know, I know. Who goes to a place named Great Links Brewhouse and orders a Burger and ice water. Well… that was me today. Hey, they do have a sticker on the entrance and throughout the place that they competed on Burger Wars sponsored by Fox 5 so they must have decent Burgers. I went with the Pastrami burger which was slightly over cooked with grilled onions, spicy mustard and melted provo with pastrami piled on top of a 1⁄3LB meat patty. Good combo, I do like a little heavier mustard on mine which I added. Besides the burger having a char to it this definitely satisfied my burger craving I had today. To accompany my burger I went with the Italian Fries topped with Italian seasoning and grated parmesan cheese. These were tasty fries. The parmesan began melting which made them even better half way through the meal. Overall visit was solid, I will be back to try one of there monster dogs. They have several varieties of topping combinations including the classic Chicago Style. I think my first choice will be the chili dog. I saw one being brought to another table and I almost had to change my mind.

Burgers here were great! And so were the chili cheese fries. It says draft house, yet don’t actually have any beers on draft. However, do have a pretty decent selection of beer, considering the dive type burger/hot dog shop. Either way I highly recommend this spot for a great bite to eat!

I’m up in arms that it’s taken me so long to try out Great Links Brewhouse & Grill. I really have no excuse. It’s close to home, has great Unilocal reviews, and even has veggie dogs on the menu. Come to find out not only do they have offer veggie hot dogs, they have a full blown vegetarian faux meat menu that includes veggie chili, brats, cheese steak, bacon, and chicken nuggets! Veggie items are priced the same as their meaty counterparts. I squealed in excitement and vowed to be a regular customer if the food was good. Ladies and gents, I was not disappointed. DELUXECHILICHEESEDOG($ 5.49): Covered in vegetarian chili, cheddar cheese, and jalapeño slices(sans onions). A few slices of veggie bacon were tucked in the veggie hot dog. Tasted awesome, and I’m so glad to have an eatery that really caters to the vegetarian community. I only wish the cheese was more melt-y. 4⁄5 LASVEGASCHILIDOG($ 5.49): This dog comes with white chili and is an upgraded version to the traditional dog. Cayenne sour cream and pepper jack cheese were some of the unexpected ingredients. Husband liked it! 4⁄5 ITALIANFRIES($ 4.29): Loaded with parmesan cheese. Not what I’m used to but we were happy with these fries. 4⁄5 ZUCCHINISTYX($ 4.99): These were just okay. Probably won’t order them again. The zucchini was too squishy. 2⁄5 VIBE: Small, casual hot dog joint. 4⁄5 SERVICE: Upon walking in, we thought we were supposed to order at the counter but we were instructed to sit down at a table. Our waitress was super nice and checked in on us often. As we left the guys working behind the counter waved and bid us a friendly farewell. 4⁄5 GOODTOKNOW: They have a BOGO coupon in the Entertainment Book, up to $ 6. Unilocal100CHALLENGE2015: #240

I originally started going to great links for lunch and dinner but one day I stumbled in there earlier in the day and discovered a breakfast menu. I lucked out that day because the breakfast is delicious. They serve fresh eggs potatoes biscuits and gravy and you get any link you choose to add to Your breakfast. The staff is nice and friendly and your sure to have a good time. Sometimes it’s gets busy and its wait but well worth it. Long story short anytime of the day you can go to great links and enjoy a good hearty meal

It’s no Dog Haus*, but damn I was surprised by the dogs here! Large menu of hotdog and sausage options, along with kicked-up fries and tots, burgers, and even some chicken options. VEGASCHILIDOG: Sage sausage white chili, pepper jack cheese, relish, tomatoes, cayenne sour cream, and spicy mustard. I don’t think I’ve had white chili before, but I definitely dig it on hot dogs! This pick was loaded up and practically needed a fork to eat, great chili and good snap on the standard dog. MOBBOSS: Grilled onions, peppers, and mushrooms, with marinara sauce, tons of parm, and two cheese sticks. Get this with hot Italian sausage for the full effect. Again, covered in toppings and filling enough to be a meal. Great flavor in the sausage, too. Opted for standard tots as our side, and we were encouraged to try a dipping sauce– opted for the fry sauce and was not disappointed. Crisp, fresh-made tots and ample, lightly-spiced fry sauce. Good light side to balance out the heavy hotdogs. Signage indicates that they provide table service if you dine in, but we(and other visitors during our visit) used the walk-up and order method. Guys behind the counter were friendly. *Re: Dog Haus is a part butcher store, part hot dog restaurant in LA with truly gourmet concoctions. It’s a few steps up from Great Links, but I can appreciate them both.

This place is awesome. My boyfriend and I are both vegan and saw this place come up on HappyCow. They have veggie meats that can be substituted(at no additional cost) on any of their menu items. The only veg options that aren’t vegan is the veg bacon and veg hot dog. Great place to eat if you want to venture of the strip! Vegetarian selections: Veggie hot dog Veggie Italian sausage Veggie beer brat Veggie kielbasa Veggie chicken patty Veggie burger patty Veggie bacon Veggie chili

After craving a hotdog, I pulled out the technological equivalent of a crystal ball that is the Unilocal app. GLB&G seemed the place to visit for lunch during the work week based on the reviews. Easily located using the technological divining rod that is the Unilocal app, the team rolled in after the 11:00 hour. Parking was a breeze as was the seating despite the potential for tight quarters during a rush. The menu boasts over 152 hot dog and sausage combinations. Again, according to the menu, their hot dogs are custom made by Boar’s Head. Your gonna get 7 ½ inches of natural cased beef and pork. I set my sights on the Deluxe Chili Cheese Dog w/chili on the side. The contents included cheddar cheese, bacon, onions and jalapeños. What really got the party started was the portion of the menu containing the specialty fries! Once again, the menu states there are over forty different combinations to customize your order. We decided to order three off the menu with only a few minor tweeks at the recommendation of our on point and truly wonderful server, Michelle. They included the following: Italian Fries– With Italian seasoning, parmesan cheese and a tasty garlic butter sauce on top of recommended crinkle cuts fries. Next up was the Buffalo Cheesy Fries– Recommended tater tots tossed in a mild buffalo sauce, and topped with melted cheese. Grill Master Fries– Recommended shoestring fries smothered in cheese, grilled onions, and thousand island dressing. As the baskets of addictive potato masterpieces came out to the table, and they allicited multiple OMG responses. Their beauty was only matched by their taste as they dropped on my tie and on my lap of which I did not care… I was in a high starch and fat high. Once I came to, my boss was kind enough to offer their water so I could spot clean. My dog was good but nothing compared to fries which could have easily been meal onto it’s self. All this goodness was washed down with a 22 ounces glass of Death Vally Root Beer. They also serve beer. Next to the root beer a cold glass of golden nectar would be an amazing means to compliment the meal! I look forward to retuning in the very near future and experiencing the happiness that is GLB&G!
