First Nails II

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE — I have been getting my nails done for many years and have only one other time, in NC, found anyone comparable to Fonz. He is amazing and meticulous. After an illness I had to go a full month without a fill and did not lose a single nail. If you are a nail biter and have nubs for nails he is your guy and will work with you to help obtain beautiful hands. Can not say enough great things about him, simply the best!

It was my first time here and left very happy with my nails. Alexis did exactly what I wanted, I’m definitely coming back to her, she’s super friendly and understanding. She took her time, and listen to the concerns I’ve had in the past with different people. I recommend coming to her, she knows what she’s doing… Thanks again

Completely unprofessional and rude. I arrived at this facility at 6:27pm while the sign says they close at 7pm. I knocked on the door as 4 employees are clearly visible and ask if they are closed. The woman replied yes they are closed and locked the door. She didnt give me a chance nor opportunity to ask any further questions. I called them because their phone number is on their door and said it would be nice to post a sign if for any reason they are going to close their doors before the time stated. They just laughed. So glad they never received a dime from me!!!

The lack of professionalism here is ridiculous. The sit and talk bad about paying customers. Smh. Maybe it’s because the girls are so young maturity just hasn’t struck.
Fonz, Hannah, & Emma are the ONLY reason I go back. The other ones are just so disrespectful.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would… I ask for just a gel manicure and the girl messed it up. The gel was not put on right and she didn’t even clean up the side of my nails.

Tried this place out for the first time, as well as trying coffin shape for the first time too, so was nervous. Greeted by friendly staff, and was told Hannah would help me. She was so patient in her craft, and talkative. Loved my experience and how the nails turned out. Even was given a sugar scrub as a holiday little gift, which also smelled and felt AMAZING. I appreciated the effort and care here, and being able to have a good experience and unwind. Can’t wait to go again

I was really hesitant at first when I came to the salon because I was unsure of what to expect but after a few visits, I really enjoy this place! All the staff are incredibly professional and humorous.
I’m in love with the shape of my nails and the color (they use OPI nail polish which is my favorite). They know how to do all sorts of shape: almond, stiletto, coffin, etc. They can also do matte! I would recommend 100%, they certainly do not get enough credit for their work.

Very very happy with my services. Walked in Monday evening at 6:00. Hana greeted me. Only 2 other customers on the shop. Hana started and completed my pedicure. I’m extremely picky and an nervous going to new businesses. Past 3 places I went butchered my nails and I was unsatisfied. She smiled when we meet eyes and kept a close eye on my toesies. She was quick yet took her time. Cleaned up around the base and sides of the nail. Polish is smooth and included é coats. Water for pedicure was streaming hot just how I like it. She was gentle and kind. She doesn’t talk unless you initiate conversation which I love because sometimes I just want to sit back and relax. It’s a spa for goodness sake. She asked me if she could provide me of anymore services and I said no until I looked at the clock. I have a special nail appointment tomorrow with a close friend of mines but I will definitely be returning! The entire staff seems talented do you can’t go wrong with either one. I also see then cleaning behind themselves and sanitizing their tools which is very important. Price is moderate (I can afford a gel manicure & pedicure and tip all in one day) I understand some people can’t, so bare that in mind. I think it’s fair pricing.

Tricia is super. I wish I had known before my appt. Hahn, I think was the name of my girl but she wasn’t very conversational. She looked at an hombre photo I brought in, said she could do it and then it turned out to look an absolute mess. I don’t think I should have paid for her service because Tricia had to fix everything… Shape, color, my happiness. Next time I’ll know to just start with her.

Got a full set of french tips with a design. Fons did an excellent job. He’s a perfectionist and made sure my nails were perfect before I left.

First time here and I absolutely love my new set. Fons did my nails and he is amazing! Very patient and understanding with me as it was my first time getting a full set. I honestly couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out. Staff was very friendly and squeezed me into their schedule as I did come a bit close to closing time. I will definitely be coming back!

Today was my first time here, my usual place wasn’t open and I just had a spur of the moment «I want a full set» itch. I was serviced by Fonz and let me tell you, he is very meticulous and somewhat of a perfectionist (I mean that in the best way possible) he has a particular way of doing full-​sets that just make them seamless. He really is the definition of «quality over quantity». The entire time he was doing my nails the conversation just flowed and he was never once distracted or stepped away. He prides himself on the skill he has developed, and as a hairstylist I can appreciate when someone knows their value. I will definitely be coming back to him. Mind you I got lucky with timing, as soon as I sat down people came in the salon left and right. If you can, make an appointment. If not that’s ok just give them a call.

First went there for a fill and design and Alexis did a great job. So I went back when it was time for a new set. Not so good, in fact horrible. Alexis seemed to have problems in putting on a full set, she dumped alot of acrylic on them and explained to me it doesn’t matter how much she puts on as she files them down. I thought that was different but went along with it since she did a good job with the fill. However, within 24 hours my nails lifted all around the edges and upon look carefully at the ends, they were warped and uneven. Didn’t catch that when I was there as it took an impossible 2 hours to get a full set of acrylics. I called her and told her the problem and planned on going back, on the 3^rd day but they were just so bad and I was so pissed off that i decided to go elsewhere and get them fixed. Won’t be back.

I agree with Maria-​it is really nice to not have all of the conversation going on in another language. I regularly see Tricia and she is great! very sweet and does a great job and takes her time. I also saw Alexis once when Tricia was not available and she was great as well. They have alot of options and choices. Prices are a little higher than my previous salon, but it is worth it!

Tricia is great! The place is clean and has a nice atmosphere. Usually you go into a nail shop and they are speaking a foreign language… not here! I love this place and it’s my favorite nail salon.

My full set is perfect! But my pedicure is not so great. I’ll give it another try in a couple weeks & see how that goes.

Great atmosphere, I’m a cosmetologist and I’m big on sanitation. These chop shops can give you fungus and all types of disgusting germs. First nails is the first salon I’ve been to that took precaution when doing your nails and not spreading bacteria. The prices are great. I recently moved but I would definitely come back soon for all their unique pedicures.

Got my wife a gift certificate for her birthday and she loved it. She didn’t have a nail person since leaving Cali so she needed to find one she liked. Lucky she found Emma and did a great job.

I went in just for a spa pedi & mani. The price was pretty decent for Vegas, (in CA I can get a spa mani & pedi for $ 20). A few weeks back I tried another nail shop, Nail TK on lake mead, and was really unsatisfied w/​my pedi. Anyways, so I wanted to try a different place. I came here and was very pleased. Nail TK charged me extra for the scrub, hot towel & massage. Here it was all included in the price & they did a really great job. The gentleman that helped me out, I believe his name was Phoung. Both my toes & nails look & feel great. When I go back in 2 weeks I’ll probably try out their gel & have them do a design. He said designs were his specialty ;-).

I liked this place very much. It is your basic, no frills strip mall nail shop-​but for $ 25 I got a nice spa pedi, complete with callous scrub and hot towels-​which is something that these other rip-​off nails salons charge extra for once you sit down and it’s too late. My pedi lasted a long time and they were super friendly. I would most definitely go back! Thanks ladies! (and 1 gentleman) :)
