Recently purchased pre sale tickets to see J Cole this past Sunday when we arrived we assumed the line wouldn’t be too long since the tickets were purchased ahead. I was wrong we waited in the sun for 2 hours and the line wouldn’t move at all. It was over crowded and it looked low budget, however I have no complaints about J Cole’s performance he was awesome but this place isn’t that great I rather go to wet republic or rehab.

This place is fairly new and I’ve been about 3 times– i’ve had fun each time. The best part of the pool is the lockers. They are $ 30 but worth it! I get anxiety about leaving my phone and stuff around at pool parties so for the ease of mind i find it worth it. I also recommend getting the souvenir cups(they are the ONLY drink you can bring into the pool) but also it’s the best deal. They are $ 36 but have triple the alcohol. I usually only need 1 to get drunk — 2 if I’m there all day. Trust me you’ll end up spending a lot more on individual drinks over the day.

So, I am a vampire and I have never been that comfortable with daylight of any form. Imagine my reaction when my friend — not a vampire — text me to tell me to meet him for a pool party. I was like, «Dude. Remember my no sunlight policy?» and he was like, «Yolo.» He had a point so I just put on some SPF150 and got in an Über with my little flowery bathing suit and my American flag tank top. I know what you’re thinking: are vampires even Americans? Well, let me tell you something. That’s racist. Or speciesist. Of course vampires can be Americans. Just because some of us have lived longer than this country has existed doesn’t mean we can’t be citizens. Even Johnny 5 got to be a citizen. So my Über pulls up and when I get in the Mandalay, I stop by the bathrooms to reapply my SPF150. Then I walk past the regular people pool and to this little shindig. I had never been wanded with a metal detector while wearing a bathing suit but I am happy to say that there’s a first time for everything. No beeps. So I went in. Here’s what you need to know to enjoy yourself here. It’s a little list I wrote. I suggest you print it out and put it in a little ziploc bag in your bathing suit pocket. 1. There are not many places where the staff wear less clothes than they do here. 2. SPF150 has a way of creating an oil slick type sheen on the surface of the pool, so maybe stay out of the water. 3. Get bottle service. You’re a baller, so just man up and do it. 4. Don’t start making out with a girl and then accidentally bite her neck and turn her into a vampire. She will not be impressed and besides, you didn’t bring enough SPF150 to share so she might die right there. That’s all I’ve got. Print this out and carry it with you. Or don’t. I’m a vampire, not your mother.

I always go to Encore Beach Club but I really wanted to go somewhere that focused on hip hop music. So when I heard that DJ Mustard was gonna be there, I was definitely interested. They only have ONE bar. Like a lot of people parties, they gave free drink vouchers but trying to fight the crowd who also wants their free drinks, it isn’t even worth it. Once the two hour free drink special is up, the line is a lot calmer. Their drinks are very pricey, but very strong. Expect to pay around $ 30 for one drink. This one bar is also the same place where you order food. I went to buy mozzarella sticks and was told it was at least a hour wait, so naturally I passed. The pool itself is small. Probably haft the size(if that) of Encore Beach and due to the crowd it filled up quick. They do have a dance floor and the front of it has the shade. DJ mustard and the DJ who was before him made the experience fun for me. I would probably only come back if they had a good DJ.

The«party» pool at Mandalay Bay — not to be confused with the general pool that’s open to all hotel guests. You have to hike a little bit past the entry to the other pool, through the tall bamboo covered walking path, like you’re about to stumble onto some amazing party in Thailand. Expect the security to be that of a night club, you are wanded, but here the girls purses are searched. Any pills, even prescription or allergy medicine in clearly labeled bottles are confiscated. Pro tip: go toss any«contraband» in the bushes by the entryway and go retrieve it later. We had a VIP cabana organized by the lovely Jenna and James at PLAY Management. You might as well get a Cabana here($ towards food and beverage min) because onebeer will run you $ 10, a single shot of Patrone is $ 16. If you’re a really big deal, you can order the«I’M RICH B*TCH»(seriously) from the menu. Oh and Champagne showers are $ 150 per bottle. The DJ keeps the party going along with jazzercising dancers that don booty shorts and leg warmers, they run around the entire place and even interacts with the day club goers. They open at noon but we didn’t show up until 2 pm and there were still people straggling in. It can get packed and if your cabana is by the pool like ours was, be aware of the splash zone areas by other patrons. Our waitress Brittany was the sweetest, not to mention gorgeous. Actually, almost everyone here were beautiful. We also had two male servers who were super friendly and nice as well, opening bottles for us and constantly checking our drinks, and monitoring the ice bucket to keep all of our drinks cool. The best value we found here was actually the chicken wings, to which one in our group exclaimed it was the best chicken wings he’s ever eaten! It was $ 18 for 10 and came with carrot and celery sticks. They only have one flavor though, which is buffalo and muy bueno.

The staff is pretty rude. We had a group of girls who were chilling on a day bed because they told to come in early so we can reserve it. Once they sold it, they merely kicked us off so they can get others in. The staff was like«hell yeah» when they were kicking us off. The ambiance and everything is nothing special so I would look for another day club. I probably will NOT be returning since there are other day clubs in sin city that would be better for a group of 10+ girls trying to catch some sun and get an escape from the real world.

Keep in mind Im writing this on a Monday after a long weekend in Vegas, that is how motivated I am to get this review up. From the standpoint of fun, layout and having a good time(only reason it got 2 stars).Daylight is a great place but the service here by the staff was ABSOLUTELY horrible. I cant even begin to communicate how unorganized this was, it truly was unbelievable. I cant believe an operation that makes so much money operates like this. No other place in the world can you spend as much money at a vegas pool party and get such poor service. If you spent 1k at a restaurant they would practically wipe your mouth with a napkin each bite. We made a daybed reservation on there own website(to avoid any issues with promoters etc) we wanted to straight to the«horses mouth» per se. We paid for everything up front online and had our receipt/tickets. So we get there and go to the side where table reservations enter. There is about 10 – 12 guys running around to different patrons and we stood there for about 20 minutes while he looked for our reservation. He then stated the reservation wasn’t there? I just don’t understand how that is, then they finally found it or something. So we get in and a we dont get our bottle for a good hour. While our two other friends are having trouble getting in because they have khaki shorts on and not swimtrunks. We finally get the bottle and more arguing ensues because they dont think we have paid for it when we have already bought the daybed package. I had a heart to heart with the waitress and she said it really is amazing how disorganized it is. Its a shame too because its a fun place with a nice layout and plenty of room, I really did like it. Then to top it off once, once our bottle was finished, they wouldn’t let us buy beer! The tab was closed and«they couldnt open another» I literally thought I was on candid camera. We had to go to the bar and order beers, we were just laughing at this point. Must be nice, I guess the management and owners have to much money at this point… Didnt want anymore.

Worst club ever. We were on the list to have a cabana and they didn’t honor it at all. There’s no other room to sit if your name isn’t on the list or you paid a subpar $ 500 couch or a $ 30 locker.

all i can do is shake my head Clientele: 30’s — 50’s Ambience: clean wild party Drinks: didn’t even attempt due to the staff being overwhelmed(2 guys manning the only bar at the venue) Staff: HORRIBLE, they ask our group of girls if we wanted free drinks, led us to a table of unsuspecting guys who were not cool with it. why would they do that? UGH. Music: Will.I.Am called out that day and we had someone else instead. ok EDM. P. S. the white floor is HOT, pls bring flip flops in order to not burn your feet, or else you’ll be running from shade to shade. there’s not much of it, unlike encore beach overall, not a bad place to be, however with all the other choices of day clubs and the fact that it is on the far end of the strip, it wouldn’t be in my top 3 choices

This is the first day club I’ve ever been to and I have to say, I had a blast here! If you’re taking a cab in, tell the cab driver you’re going to the day club at Mandalay Bay. Key phrase: «day club at Mandalay Bay.» If you tell them you’re going to Mandalay Bay expecting a short walk from the casino to the pool, then you’re in for a rude awakening. The lines to get in were a bit confusing. We bought our tickets in advance to come see Alesso perform, and there was no clear sign indicating which lines were for pre-purchased folks, and which line was for people paying at the door. Asked two different staff/security guards and got two different answers. Once we got in, I noticed that the pool area wasn’t as big as the pictures portrayed. But it still looked nice because it was hot as balls that day in Vegas. All the chairs and stuff were obviously occupied, so we found a nice shady spot by the bar area. Ahh speaking of the bar. This is the type of place that’ll make a person with a drinking problem go sober. Seriously, $ 40 for a drink though?! That’s more than cover charge itself! And for $ 40 you would think you’d get more alcohol. Nope! Oh, and water is expensive too. Granted, it’s like Voss or something like that, but still. Thankfully, they got a water station by the exit where you can fill water up with your expensive cup. Overall, conduct yourself like you would at any other night clubs. Don’t be puking cuz they will find you and they will kick you out. The pool itself is nice, but I did notice during my sober moments that the water was kinda. murky, but then again, there was so much people there, I guess that’s to be expected. Otherwise, a great time. I hope to be back to this or any other day clubs out here in Vegas. I’m just a bit bummed I been to Vegas so many times and I’ve never been to a day club prior to this!

As a local this is the only day club I’ll go to and only on Sunday’s. Sunday’s are open till about 8 – 9 pm, and usually showcase house and techno DJs such as Marques Wyatt, Dubfire, Sasha, Nicole moudaber, etc. musically if you hate commercial EDM, this is the place to be Sunday’s. The security is TERRIBLE. I understand it’s a day club and they need to be more thorough with security due to the drowning liability but the first weekend we went for Guy Gerber, when it was 50 degrees out, my fiancé wasn’t let in with pants on, but my female friend was. I also forgot I had Advil in my purse so when they searched me and found it they went through a PILLBOOK just to make sure the round tablets that said«Advil» on them were actually Advil. I told them just to throw them out, I forgot they were in there, but no they insisted on checking a pill book. Good thing is they turned out to be Advil!(duh!) so I was let in. Once inside everything is great. We usually get tables here and the servers are always very polite. There’s lots of umbrellas for shade and plenty of bathrooms. I have never gotten in the pool as I don’t feel like wading through piss, budlite, and vomit, but most people in the pool seem to be enjoying themselves. Overall, it’s laid back after you get past the overbearing security and if you’re a local you get in free, so why not go?

Not being a pool dayclub regular, I will have to compare Daylight to the few pool dayclubs I’ve been to. Which to say is that I like those better(Cabana Club at Red Rock, The Pond at GVR). This place is for tourists so not so much a locals vibe. My first Daylight visit was to see my cousin who was hosting a 40th b-day party for her boyfriend. They invaded the DJ/VIP area so at least I had that experience! We were on the«stage» overlooking the pool. It was not my type of music but I knew what to expect going in! The place was not super crowded so that was a plus! We had security personnel next to us the whole time I was there, which is good and bad. Maybe they had to make sure no one fell/jumped off the stage. The drink set up was nice, I don’t know if they paid for the bottle service or was part of their party deal. Ice was refilled and water was available too. Having my small purse searched was a pain but that is what they do at these places.

Love this place for a day pool party. The pool is huge and there’s enough room that you are not elbow to elbow with everyone. When I say the pool is huge, this is super important because it is so hot in Vegas that being able to sit in the pool and cool down is a must. Other clubs have pools that are so tiny that the only way to stay cool would be to have a table or cabana and those are not cheap. Both times I have been here they had great DJs performing. Morgan Page and Alesso are who I saw. I’m a music junkie so I love it when they bring in good DJs. A couple of things that probably need to be improved is their locker and bar areas. When you rent a locker you have to go to a specific kiosk or else your code won’t work(they only have one kiosk that will open your specific locker). Because of this confusion the lines are long and people constantly think the kiosks are broken. The bar is ridiculous. Even being a girl it took me about an hour to get a drink. Either have more bartenders or a more organized way to order drinks. Even with these two issues I would recommend DayLight for a day pool to everyone!

The security team at the entrance takes their job more seriously that TSA. Prepare to have your purse searched before you enter the club, and be sure to have nothing inside except your phone, ID, credit card and money. They intentionally embarrassed my friend for carrying dental floss in her purse and then threw it away. They do not allow you to bring in sunscreen or any toiletries. Sunscreen can be purchased for an absurd price inside. Once you make it through the circus that is security, Daylight is actually a cool day club. It is a smaller venue than EBC and Drai’s, but it’s still fun. EDM, fun crowd and food options at the bar. I liked that there was space to sit around the pool even for those who didn’t pay for a cabana. There is free self serve water by the bar. Be careful, people get crazy with the beach balls. If you’re by the pool, you WILL get balls in your face.

Being a female I can’t really complain about anything! No cover to get in and barley a wait! The host will often times walk groups of women straight to the front and skip the line. It’s Vegas so yes the drinks are expensive but thanks expected. When we went in the host gave us each a drink ticket which was pretty cool. Also females, be prepared to have your purses checked! Make sure to put on plenty of sunblock and drink plenty of water in the summer. Oh yea and bring comfortable shoes because you don’t want to walk around barefoot. The cement is incredibly hot. If you have a day bed and do not have an umbrella you will melt. I am not a fan of actually getting into the pools in Vegas because I’m convinced that people don’t get out to go to the bathroom ha! That being said I normally melt when I go to day clubs. I have been a few times and there is never really a long line to get in the bathroom but the bar can definitely get crazy and take a while to order a drink(easily a 10 min wait).

I’ve been to my share of dayclubs in Vegas and Daylight was just an average experience. However, Disclosure(on 6⁄20) played an awesome set! We had a prime table location right in front of the stage — it was like partying at a concert with our own private area. Our cocktail server was sweet and friendly, and the barback was accommodating to our requests to move our umbrella(it was 107 degrees that day) and for additional bottles of waters. The most memorable cocktail was the peach iced tea, which tasted exactly like the name without the strong presence of alcohol. Every 30 minutes or so, they would be spraying jets of water from the stage! Being right in the front, we got soaked but it was refreshing after being in the heat. Bathrooms are located all the way in the back of the dayclub and there are plenty of stalls — I never had to wait once! Security was intense. I was the first in line in my group and the bouncer gave me a hard time on my ID and asked for another form of identification… he’s clearly has never seen a Virginia state ID before and didn’t give anybody else a hard time after looking at mine. All of the girls’ purses were searched and certain items such as bandaids and chapstick were thrown out.

I’ve edited this review about three times because my experience involved alcohol and it’s all coming back to me now… I’m so confused on how to write this review. On one hand, it was hot as the devil’s butt outside but I mean… it’s a pool and I was wearing jeans because my legs are allergic to the sun and break out in rashes unless I’m in water. So, hey, cool. Also, the drinks DEFINITELY did their job but HOLYHELL $ 30 a drink and we got four. That could’ve easily paid my A/C for two months. So good job on making your drinks so expensive but worth it considering 50% of the cup is pure alcohol, and then good job getting the drunks to buy more lol. My GF, friends, and I went for Carl Cox and I had a REALLY good time dancing my life away for five hours. So while I’m not sure if I should complain about the pricey drinks, I will say that you should probably open up another bar and have more than just one. Also, your bartenders should pay more attention to who they’re serving. Seriously, I saw a guy so drunk he could hardly stand and was given another drink anyway. Pretty sure that’s a liability in some way lol. Out of curiosity, do you have cleaning people? Because the 30-ish empty bottles just laid out literally in the middle of the dance floor are really annoying when you’re trying to drunk dance in heels. And you have to find a better solution to the cotton candy plastic wrappers because it was windy and those were flying around everywhere. The staff was okay I guess. Just your typical macho-man security guys asking to see your pockets even though they know you don’t have any. Whatever, that’s cool lol. But jeez, can we talk about the bathroom attendant that felt the need to point out that her jar is for tips? Literally, she pointed to the jar and said«for tips.» WEKNOW. And lastly, if you see me standing in front of you for 20 minutes and you’re serving other people that arrived after me anyway, you’re not going to get a tip on the $ 30 drink you just whipped up with a smile on your face. Drunk, yes. Dumb, no. Thanksss.

Just as a business stand point, why would the only have one small bar for the entire day club?! It took my friends 45 minutes to get a $ 40 dollar drink because they only have one bar!!! All other day clubs have more than one bar and this is one of the newer day clubs so I don’t understand why they only have one single freaking bar. I ended up not getting any drinks because the line was ridiculous! Security is super tight here, I felt like I was at an airport. they do not allow a LOT of stuff in here. I guess because the venue looks like a rave stage? Other day clubs are not as half strict as this place. they threw my eye drops away when I kept telling them i needed it because of my lasik eye surgery. jerks. I wouldn’t come back here unless if there was a huge headliner with guest list.

This is my first time ever going to a day club, and DAYLIGHT made it awesome! The guest line moved pretty fast, we got into the club within 15 minutes. I have to say, the venue looked hella nice. There was a lot of space to move around and dance. The weather was perfect too. Not to mention the pool, I thought the pool would be packed with everyone, but it wasn’t. I got to enjoy my time in the pool with out being squished. They also have blowup floats for you to relax on. CAUTION: You will get flipped over if you are on it though. My friend got pissed off cuz she got flipped, and her phone broke(I know, kind of her fault she brought it with her in the pool). They give complimentary drinks! You get those drinks at the bar by the main stage. The only reason I’m taking off a star was because it took over 45 minutes to get our drinks. Everyone was pushing and shoving at the bar, it was a nightmare. Only 2 girls was working that day, they really should add a couple more bartenders so not everyone is waiting for their drinks. Also their LOCKERS are hella expensive. I think it was $ 40 bucks for a locker. We had to buy one since my friend didn’t want her Michael Kors bag to get wet. I suggest you bring very little stuff so that you don’t have to buy a locker. Overall, I had a great time. ALESSO was awesome! He killed that stage. Also they give out free stuff during his stage, I got free sunglasses ^^ I definitely would be coming back again.

I came here for Labor Day weekend and i was stoked to go since Alesso was playing and from pictures and what i heard, Daylight was supposed to be craaazzzy. BUTLOL the pool is actually pretty small, i was expecting EBC kinda shit, but its fun anyways! The line moves 10000x quicker than EBC, thank the lord. The first thing we did was get drinks … and oh my god it was soooo SLOW because there is only ONEBAR. so i suggest if you dont want to spend half your time waiting for a drink, buy the huge cups plastic cups($ 40), which they fill with copious amount of alcohol. Super efficient bc you get refills(cheaper) and it has a cap so you can bring them into the pool to drink(cap is kinda loose and doesn’t close all the way tho, idk why). I got the mojito, and since i didnt eat breakfast or lunch(results of a late night and rushing to make guestlist), i got pretty fucked upppp. The stage is pretty amazing… from what i saw of it. I was mostly in the pool a lot of the time because it was so freakihng hot. But BEWAREOFSPLASHERS –______– i know i know, the drop is fucking amazing or whatnot, and everyone is excited and shit… but damn…): so much splashing my fake eyelashes almost fell off… LOLOLOL. good thing i had my sunglasses hahaha also — if youre walking from the strip into mandalay bay/daylight, the pool is in the back of the hotel. When you call for a taxi, make sure to tell them Daylight, not Mandalay Bay. They have taxis right outside of the beach club, so its easy to get a ride without walking all over the hotel in drunken stupor. …but seriously minus one star bc my dress got stolen so i had no cover up at the end, WTFFFF. so it was so cute): and NOTOWELS ??? where do i even go to get them…(but it wasnt such a big deal bc the heat dried us off realll quick). And they kicked us out of our daybed midway through the pool party. Idk how long my friend reserved it for though…
