I reposting this review as I just received an email from Unilocal HQ saying they were going to remove it as it ‘appeared to be writing about someone else’s experience.’ Apparently, according to Unilocal a husband and wife cannot have the same experience. In October of 2014, BOTH my husband and I reached out to Castillo construction after our friends had used them and were satisfied with their work. I had been warned by her though, that it would probably be better to have my husband call (he’s fluent in Spanish) as Eduardo really only returned her husband’s calls and not hers. Sure, enough my calls went unreturned but my husband was able to get through. We set up an appointment time to have a consultation and needless to say Eduardo never showed up and never called. When we called him to find out what happened, he didn’t answer and never called back. I did receive a message from him on here asking for us to give hime another chance, however it was over a year later. I’m sorry if my business were truly important to you then you would have done your due diligence in the first place and returned a woman’s call and not just her husband’s.

I used Castillo construction and I am very pleased with the results. I even recommend Castillo construction to a friend. After meeting with Eduardo she decided use Castillo construction to paint her apartment.

I don’t normally do this but I have to edit my original review. I originally gave Castillo Construction 3 stars, pending Eduardo completing the finishing touches on my town home. Minor painting of exterior stucco and removing lockbox. However, Eduardo promised several times that someone would come and complete the work, no one from his company ever came and completed the work… Eduardo stopped returning my text messages, asking for them come come and complete the work… After 2 ½ weeks, I hired someone else to complete the painting and called a locksmith to remove the lockbox… Unfortunately, my friend is also still waiting for Eduardo to make some corrections and complete the finishing touches her apartment too…
Eduardo and Castillo construction starts out great but you take your chances regarding completion…

We have used Castillo for many remodel home projects and have zero complaints on the work done. He is very busy (because his work is good) so you do need patience sometimes. He is fairly priced for the workmanship. So far the different crews we have had at our home for different remodel phases have been very nice, professional and respectful of our home. The owner, Eduardo has a natural talent for remodeling/​decorating ideas so don’t be afraid to ask for his advice. He suggested paint color I would never have picked, trusted his advice and absolutely love it!

Eduardo was over 45 minutes late to our appointment. He texted a half hour after the appointment. I can let this one slide considering he at least texted me later. Once he arrived, I asked for a written estimate on a bathroom remodel. He told me he would get me one by the next day. Still haven’t received one and its 5 days later.

Can’t say enough about how wonderful the crew at Castillo was. We recently converted a large upstairs bedroom into a loft and had a light added to the room below. We received quotes from 5 companies in total, some were less expensive and some were way, way more. Overall, we paid a very fair price for some amazing craftsmanship. We will absolutely be using Castillo again in the near future for kitchen and bathroom remodels. I would highly recommend these guys.
