I got comp tickets from a friend, and had a fun afternoon at this show. Grant seemed very talented, I liked Jane a lot, and Ed was good. Some of the games were a bit boring to watch, but the comedians looked like they were having fun, and kept the audience involved. They gave everyone 2 free tickets to give to friends(must pay tax) so I’m curious what this show actually costs, and if anyone actually pays that?

I was lucky enough to score comped tickets to the V Theaters Aussie Improv Comedy Explosion show, I love improv so how could I resist… dragging my husband behind me. I have never been to the V Theater before, it’s a little small and looks old, but the seating was comfortable and I was their to watch the show, not look at the décor and construction of the theater. We had general admission seats which meant we had to sit in the first come first serve section in the rear of the theater, but the usher took us straight to a table in the front row… BONUS! We got drinks that were well liquored but pricey, you have to expect that in most theaters, plus they came in pretty flashy, blinky glasses. But its not the theater I’m here to tell you about… I have to say my first improv show was in New York City with the Upright Citizens Brigade, so I always end up comparing, which may not seem fair, but who’s writing the review here? Needless to say, I laughed alot, I don’t want to tell you what they do in their show but they started out a little weak with a «name song» skit I’ve seen done before, and would be able to pull off myself if need be. The three comedians were good at what they did with lots of personality, you can’t help but like them, maybe its the aussie accents but i think not. They use alot of audience participation, so be ready to get pulled up on stage. I left the show in a great mood, my cheeks and stomach hurt from laughing so hard. I hope to go back and take my mom with me:)
