I have had the pleasure of being well traveled through Asia and am very keen on Eastern antiques. This store has by far the best selection of asian antiques including Buddhas, furniture, statues and artwork I have found anywhere in the United States. I have seen similar antiques in the Wynn for nearly 4x the price. The owner, Tommy, has a passion for his work and his items are truly heirlooms. He has contacts thought greater Asia he works directly to find and import. There is no ‘middle-man’ in his business model. I almost hesitate to post a review of his store because I will undoubtedly miss out on some items, but it is only fair to share such a great place; Asian Images pieces truly have the potential to the the centerpiece of your home. Tommy has importers from China, Tibet, India, Myanmar(Burma), Thailand, Loas and many more places encompassed in SE and Greater Asia that find the most amazing pieces. Asian Images antiques range from the new to 100+ yr old hand carved museum pieces. In fact, that vast majority of the store is museum quality. It should also be noted, that I have been purchasing from Asian Images for over 3 years and am always excited about the new shipments he receives from all of the East every few months. This store and Tommy whom has created it are a treasure in the town of Las Vegas. His store is like walking into a museum. I also think most of glowing reviews on Unilocal are BS half the time, so I a signing my full name to prove my independent, unsolicited review. Dr Matthew HC Otten

I was pleasantly surprised by this shop. It’s unassuming from the outside, in an «office» type strip mall. But once inside, the place was packed with original antiques and reproductions. They span many different Asian countries, not just Chinese, but Tibetan, Napalese, Thai, Indonesian, and more. The owner will tell you what is an original antique and what is a vintage piece(around 50 years old or so) and what are new reproductions. He will work with you on price if you are a serious buyer. I also like that he lets you browse instead of some other places that follow you around or stare at you like you either can’t afford anything, or you will break something. But be forewarned, the place is packed, so watch your butt when you bend over to look at something or watch your handbag so it doesn’t hit something. You can also give your email so they can notify you when they get new stuff in.

Wandered into this space while waiting for friends at Cathay House and couldn’t have been more surprised, a large and dynamic collection of authentic and recast pieces spread across three rooms with prices ranging from $ 40 to several thousand dollars. One part store and one part museum but also a passion project of the owner, an importer/exporter and an artisan himself in doing much of the touch up work, suffice it to say that there is likely something here for everyone interested in adding Asian accent to their décor and even for those trending more western in their design the space still warrants a visit for the simple beauty of the antiques. Admittedly a bit disorganized and probably not the best spot for the claustrophobic, I personally loved getting lost in the collection and speaking with someone so genuinely interested in their craft.
