Alright selection, but some of the workers act like juveniles. One time I went, some kid had an Iheartradio show playing throughout the store and the show was ridden with profanity. Now, I’m no prude, but the excessive f-bomb dropping was unnecessary. I’m talking like 1 every two minutes. My friend and I left, disgusted, as the young cashier thought it was edgy and hip. I also came at a time when a different worker was really rude — he told a guy, who was flipping through a comic, «what the f— do you think this is, a library?» Once again, we left, very put off by this behavior. Of course, I had heard that the owner himself rolls this way and couldn’t care less about how these kids conduct themselves. I think I will stick to my monthly visits to fantasies and heroes in San Antonio, where the workers are far more respectful.

I have to say coming from San Antonio where they have heroes and fantasies I thought I could never find a place that would come close. I know legacy is nowhere as big as H&F but they have such a good selection on things. The owner and the employees of the store our very helpful. I appreciate the fact that there’s an actual comic book store in laredo that cares and just doesn’t open its doors to make money. If you haven’t been go! Also it’s cool you can have your own subscription box with whatever comics you are reading.

Kinda overpriced and selection is limited went to a artist signing and all the artists books had been. pulled the night before so the shop could have everything signed then overprice it after the artist signed it… u missed the idea of bringing someone down to get rid of dead stock but its kinda a «hobby store«owner has it to have friends …

I love that Laredo eventually got a nice comic book store. It doesn’t have a huge selection(I have been spoiled by the comic shops in Austin), but I have seen it grow over the years, and free comic book day has definitely become more active as well. They did make the store bigger, and I am anticipating its growth. I love the service here. Everyone is very friendly, and the events are always welcoming. I can’t wait to go when I’m back in town!

Well I’m from out of the state, here in Laredo for vacation and I just needed to get the Black Widow seven and eight issues fast. This was the place that my family recommend since they been there a couple of times. Now I’m giving them five stars because it’s pretty big and they have a lot of action figures, the place where I go to get my comics in California didn’t have that much so I guess this place beat that one. Will be going back soon.

I can’t agree with the other reviewer. I’ve sold my books here often out of necessity and got a fraction of what they are going for. It’s very painful selling a 80 dollar out of print book PLUS others for almost nothing, knowing they are being sold for ALOT more. The excuse is that Laredo only buys DC and Marvel. I’m from Laredo and I’ve bought books from a variety of companies such as IDW, Dark Horse, Image, and more, and they have great stories if not better at times then DC and Marvel. I can buy my books cheaper and at a much larger variety online.

I love this shop. I’ve visited different comic shops and collectible stores my whole life. I’ve been a nerd since I began to crawl. I remember going to the shop when it first opened cause I was like, I just gotta see it. I wasn’t collecting comics at the time, but I went in twice and got a couple old X-Men toys I collected as a kid. Honestly, I didn’t go back until a few months ago. Now I’m in there once a week. The staff is great. They’re friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. They offer a free subscription service which is great. Now I never have to worry about missing an issue. The owners are great folks. Usually whenever I head in on sunday, Mr. Jalomo greets me with a handshake and asks about how everything is going. Now that’s awesome, I’m not just another dollar sign to them. They always invite me over on fridays for the game night and answer my questions when it comes to products. They have a cool shop right now, but I can’t wait to see what they’ve got planned for the new location. By far, this is the best shop I’ve gone to on a regular basis. Not even when I was a kid and went twice a week to a shop for my stuff did they ever learn my name. Now I’m greeted with a «Hello Peter, how are you doing?» By far, the best customer service in town.
