I am upset, with what I think is a pretty valid reason. So, my mom’s birthday was yesterday right? I called up a local flower shop in Laredo for the simple reason that I didn’t want to order some flowers online and deal with their delays or having her flowers delivered in a box.
I live about 5 – 6 hours away and couldn’t be there for her birthday but wanted to make sure she got a nice surprise, since i couldn’t be there this year.
I call Garza’s Flower shop and ask them if they can do a same day delivery by 5pm to my mom’s job, they assure me they «definitely can and will!» So I go ahead and place my order. I get a call from them at 5:20 telling me that they didn’t find her at work… Duhh, I told you by 5!!! So they ask me of it’s OK to deliver to her home, of course I say yes, so they ask me for her home address and phone number just in case she isn’t home. I was a bit upset, but hey they were going to get to her on HER BIRTHDAY, right… WRONG! My mom calls me about 5−10minuted after asking if I had sent her flowers… so I’m thinking they got them to her so I happily say «yes». What she says then makes me lose it… «Well the delivery man called me to verify the address because they missed me at work, but he said it was too far for him at this time and will deliver in the morning.» WTF?!!
I immediately call them & of course, there is no answer… I leave a voicemail, yes an angry voicemail because I didn’t pay well over $ 40 to have a man ruin my mother’s birthday surprise by telling her hey your daughter sent you birthday flowers and I didn’t get to your job on time, so I was gonna deliver to your house, but its Friday after 5 and I don’t want to go all the way out there because its far and I want to go home.
I didn’t get a call back, I called them this morning and the lady who answered saw absolutely nothing wrong with this. The only thing she kept telling me was «we put them in the cooler overnight, and they were delivered this morning»… That’s not the fuckin point!!! So I guess its ok in their eyes to not be professional with their business and do whatever and however tf they want after you pay.
My mom LOVED them! She sent me a picture this morning, but today is not her birthday.

Garza’s Floral did a fabulous job with a rose floral arrangement. I trusted them with the important task of being the first impression to my significant other’s parents, whom I was flying into Laredo to meet for the first time. The arrangement made for a beautiful photo-​op all weekend. I am grateful for the above and beyond service (delivery on day before we flew in, as requested) and blown away by the beauty of it. I called today and asked for a special request. I asked to purchase a Birthday Arrangement for my grandmother and delivered to the cemetery where she was buried earlier this month. I received excellent service from the beginning of the phone call to the end. The employee I spoke too even suggested a balloon. They made the arrangement in the colors I requested and promptly delivered it. They also had excellent follow up! I received a picture of my grandmothers flowers before they went out and it was a big beautiful arrangement! Thank you so much to this business for making my grandmothers birthday special, its our first one with out her, but I know after she saw the flowers she is all smiles :) I will definitely use this business again!
