Seriously love this place. I’ve never had a bad experience here. Every time I get my food the woman that works the front is always warm and inviting. The lemongrass beef spring rolls are a favorite as well as the flank steak phở. I eat here once to twice a week, and everything has always remained consistent.

Great food, wonderful people. Get the egg roll, wonton noodle soup and shaken beef dish. So good.

So first off, I believe this phở place is run by non-Vietnamese staff. Their broth does not give me the anise aroma, nor a vietnamese spice. Its almost as if it is chinese, or something other than Vietnamese. Also, I had to ask for extra cilantro and white onion, because it seems that they ration it out here. Of course they dont have tripe, because Louisianians dont know about that and upon my inquiry, I was told that no one asks for it, so they dont buy it-understood. I guess this is the best phở to get around the way over here, but I would rather not have gone here at all if I couldnt even get a decent broth. Dont even ask for the fish sauce.

The food was delicious and well presented. We had a few different Phô and tried the shaken beef Bahn mi. They knocked it out of the park! We also had tai tea and a couple different Bubble teas, all very good. The restaurant was super clean. The only thing was there wasn’t a lot of seating. So going during peak times might be difficult. I picked up a menu for call in orders for the future.

After the failure of the 2 previous Vietnamese restaurants in this same location in LaPlace, I really didn’t have very high hopes for this one. My husband and I had just accepted that we would have to travel to Metairie or New Orleans to get quality Vietnamese food, and we did so quite often — until now. Since our first visit to Phở de Lis, we haven’t had to look past our own back door for delicious, fresh, authentic Vietnamese food. Let’s start with the phở — tasty and consistent. Right up there with any of the good Vietnamese places in the city. The jasmine rice plates — superb. Spring rolls — always fresh(no chewy or soggy rice paper here). The vermicelli bowls are just right, although I do wish they offered the pressed vermicelli that Phở Nola does(we will continue to frequent Phở Nola when those cravings strike). The bubble teas are yummy, but admittedly not up to par with Frosty’s(not a deal breaker though. It’s hard to mess up a fruit smoothie and we do still order them regularly). I have yet to try a banh mi from this place and am quite interested to see what type of bread they use for those — I’ll update this review once I have. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, and the owners here are related to the owners of both Phở Nola in Kenner and Rolls n Bowls in Metairie(two of our other favorites). All in all, this place is top-notch and our new favorite place to eat in Laplace. It’s a good thing we only live minutes away, because we eat here at least twice a week(sometimes more… okay, a lot more.)

The bowls of phở for ~$ 10 are SUPERLARGE. Biggest bowls of phở I’ve had, and I had every last drop of until my bowl was clean. After a long cold afternoon doing a swamp tour by the nearby Cajun Pride, phở is exactly what I needed. We all ordered the combination Phở, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The basil was pretty fresh, bean sprouts were clean, and most importantly, Phở was delicious. You order and pay at the counter, and grab a seat, and they will bring the food to your table. Definitely recommend this place if you need a hot bowl of delicious goodness.

This restaurant is the former cajun persuasion but new owners and new menu. The service was great, the food was great, and was a pretty nice serving. I’ll definitely be coming back to try other dishes they have!
