Pearl’s Next Generation Restaurant

Horrible. We all got sick. Ordered a sandwich and the roll was not edible. Hard as a brick. Dessert was bread pudding which made us all sick instantly missing a day of work. Stay away

What a true disappointment. Although the prior reviews were mixed, I thought it would still be OK to use my Groupon for dinner. What a mistake I made. Arrived on a Saturday evening around 8PM thinking the dinner rush would be over. And it was… Only about 8 tables were taken when my wife and I arrived. Only one of the Pearl’s Next Generation gals came by to get us a drink of water and ice tea. No server yet after 15 minutes. Another 10 minutes and still no server. Finally our server came over to take our order and what was previously offered by the kind lady who go our drinks was now «86’ed» (no longer available for you non-​restaurateurs). So we settled for the special of the one pork chop dinner for me and the turkey dinner and dressing for my wife.
After 45 minutes and four ice teas later, our dinner arrived. Basic is the understatement for what they served. Food had no taste and my wife’s turkey dressing was a pile of mush. Yes, wet bread of some sort. We never complained and simple moved our food around our plate. Corn bread we ordered (you pay for your bread there) was dry unless you smothered it with a lot of butter. Wife said the veg’s were OK but the macaroni salad was swimming in mayonnaise. I tried them as well, but I used a straw instead of a fork.
None the less, we left with only a $ 10.00 tab after using our Groupon, plus the 15% tip of course. I generally pay 25% at low cost eateries, as it should be. But not in this instance. Service poor, food poor and abeyance needs a full make over.
Go somewhere else for one of those good olé homemade cooking meals you have been craving. Cause this place will disappoint you in more ways then one…

After many trips for breakfast, has to be the worst food in palm beach… undercooked eggs, cold has hashbrowns and burnt bacon. coffee was good service is good… not having breakfast anymore.

I had the pot roast. It was delicious. If you’re looking for comfort food this is your place. The décor is out dated. Service is great.

I actually had been here before my Unilocal days as a tag-​a-​long lunch guest. I live down the road but never go in. Just one of those things. I am a «city-​slicker» and the place reminds me of banjos, cigarette smoke, and people yelling about «Auntie Mae» so I’ve always thought I’d be out of place there. Well, I was really craving real breakfast the other day which basically is impossible to find these days. So I heading down. I am so glad I did. It was just what I wanted. There was a large bar area to sit down at if you are by yourself. The staff definitely had that southern thing going on. I had no problem finding something to eat. They had everything you could want for breakfast. The place was clean, but a bit old. They cook right in front of you so you can watch them behave. I ordered pancakes because I am the anti-​breakfast person. I dont care for sausage, hate eggs, dont drink milk, not huge bacon guy, etc. So I got the short stack (2) pancakes. 1^st off, I should have ordered one pancake. I thought that would be wussy so I got the short stack. They were huge. Now about the taste. I honestly never ever had such a delicious pancake. Every place I go to, they taste the same. Those places probably all get the same brand pancake mix in 5 gallon palls. Pearls must make the batter from scratch. If not, it doesnt matter because it is very good. I like everything about this place. I will be back for sure.

Not as good as it used to be, over medium eggs were runny recently with super slow service, lots of better local places to have breakfast.

Pearls has gone way down in service and food! We use to love this place, the last 3 times we have been there we were over charged on our drinks and we had to argue with them to be able to use our groupon! The air conditioner was not working again and the food was over cooked. We will not be going again. If you go make sure you count your drinks and check the prices!

Great fresh food. Delish tuna salad, French fries on point. Also the green beans are FRESH!

Good comfort food at a reasonable price. Customer Service is also good.

Service is TERRIBLE here. The food is just as bad, very greasy! Salty and over seasoned.

Oh my, how come I haven’t been here before?!
After an early beach yoga session, the boyfriend, his buddy, and myself were looking for a good breakfast with mimosas. They mentioned «Pearl’s» and I was totally down to try a new place out.
It was busy when we arrived, but we managed to snatch a booth for the three of us instantly.
We were warmly greeted and offered water, juice, coffee, mimosas, Bloody Mary’s — such a lovely southern charm in her voice! We opted for three coffees, three mimosas and some water.
After the coffee and water arrived, the mimosas did shortly after. They were actually legit tasting mimosas (and 2 for $ 7.50? You can’t beat that.)
We ordered our food and began the waiting period. We were constantly being offered refills on our coffee and water from revolving waitresses passing by with the coffee carafe; I think I must have had 4 – 5 cups of coffee without noticing.
The food took a little while to come out, but it was GOOD! The bacon was crispy, my eggs were fluffy, and the rye toast was buttered perfectly.
Seriously, I don’t think I’ve eaten breakfast that fast before and I cleared the plate entirely.
My companions were equally as happy and I encourage you to give them a try, at least once.

Love, love, love this hole in the wall!!! Best breakfast diner around!!! Service was impeccable with southern charm. Food was spot on and filling at reasonable prices. I don’t hand out 5 stars often but this deserves it. Keep in mind the atmosphere is not fine dining but food and service is top notch!

2 weeks in a row that our order was «lost». Waited for food for over an hour today just to find out that the kitchen didn’t even have our order. Do you think either of the waitresses — week 1 or 2 — ever stopped by and thought — jeewiz — why don’t they have food??!

A perfect place for breakfast. Good service and great breakfast. The gravy and biscuits is perfect.

I love the staff, but get sick from the grease. The food makes me ill so I stay away. Good prices and friendly staff! I’ve really only been for breakfast so I’m not sure about lunch or dinner but I know they have nightly specials!

I am a newbie to Pearl’s and I really love it. Pearl’s has become my favorite breakfast spot, much better than Denny’s or IHOP. The food has always been great and the service was quite good. I have been about 3 times for breakfast. They have the best egg white, mushroom and swiss cheese omelet I’ve ever had! You can’t taste the grill at Pearl’s like the aforementioned breakfast places. I had lunch once and the pot roast was really good too, as was the bean soup. The prices are more affordable than the chains as well. I was really surprised to see any bad reviews. Can’t wait to go on a weekend and try their bloody marys, which were highly recommended by a local bartender at a chain establishment. Thumbs up!

Took the family there for breakfast after Church. Service was extremely slow. Three tables who placed their orders several minutes after us were served before us. Waitress made no appologies or acknowleded the slow service. The lady at the register did not ask anything about service or quality of meal. Definately would never go baxk.

I really wanted to like this place, given the reviews. I came for breakfast and regretted it. After a long wait watching the multiple employees focus on their non-​customer related tasks from my booth, the was finally able to I order two eggs scrambled with toast and home fries when my waitress stopped by. She spent more time with the tables where men were the customers, which bothered my mom to no end, but I am pretty used to it. After all, it is her tip, not mine if she didn’t want to be attentive.
After ½ hour, seriously a ½ hour, my meal arrived. The eggs were warm, the home fries were cold and the toast was so cold the butter wasn’t even melted. And for what I paid, it looked like they were rationing out the food.
Turns out, didn’t matter how much they gave or didn’t, the food was so cold and coagulated I ended up not eating it. Paid my bill and left. Least to say, after apologizing to my mom profusely, I will never return.

Went here with a group from work. If there was a rating of less then a single star it would apply to this place.
Restaurant itself was disgusting! Food was terrible. Looked at my fellow co-​horts food and thought to myself they will have a abdominal emergency later. Denny’s would’ve been better then this dump. May have been nice in it’s hey day, but most certainly not now.
