Food is overpriced, especially for a place that’s directed at college students and when there is a lot of competition nearby. Their coffee and espresso drinks are fairly priced and pretty good though

I worked here while going to LCC over 10 years ago and still get cravings for the Chicken Salad sandwich, Cous Cous and Veggie Bagel. Haven’t been there in SO long but still have great memories of working there and EATING there!

This place is one of my faves in Lansing. I remember when I was a student at LCC I used to love to come here and get a soup and sandwich(which were usually from Great Harvest) and coffee and just hang out, do my homework, study, and write poetry. I even had a professor who taught class from there a few times… and bought the whole class coffee! Yes there is a bookstore attached which has a little more in it than college text books. The people who work there are always cool and its a nice kind of piece of Urbana in Lansing.

I have such great memories of this place from when I went to LCC. Soy chai and some of the best grilled cheese in Michigan. Yummy. A few of my professors would hold office hours in Gibson’s which made it a particularly tempting place to hang out, you would always run into someone interesting. I thought it was great how you could get a side of mandarin oranges with your food. I always hated the buying and selling books business but I loved the little coffee shop.(It’s under a parking garage, a particularly ugly one, making it a great use of urban space.)
