We have hosted events here for my fraternity for many years, I am amazed at the continued professional reception and willingness to accommodate everything we need on a dime. I am impressed from the time we are greeted at the door to the compliments given from the awesome staff. We thought of moving our event just can’t beat what we get here.

My sorority planned a banquet dinner. The banquet hall is large so you can hold many people in one room. There is enough room for a photo booth. Which is great! There is a large bar where you can opt for an open bar service. The food that is served is very slaty. The food is filling and pretty decent for banquet food that is once you get past the saltiness. I also felt that the banquet hall felt older, out of date, and had a tacky vibe. I felt they needed to update the décor and flooring. The surrounding stores and parking lot was shady and not formal. But overall, I had a great time with my sorority sisters.

Was there last week in the little wedding chapel pretty inside staff did a nice job. My only gripe and note has nothing to do with service is the location. Being next to the laundry and dollar store just takes away from the sophistication of what this place really could be. I just think it would be more appealing on the exterior if it was in a stand alone lot where the exterior could be solely focused on the reception center and the chapel. Just my business based opinion.

OMG! I had my daughter’s wedding there on September 28, 2013 at 7PM. It was AMAZING. I purchased the elite package with up-lighting and I used their chapel. The chapel was so beautiful. The chairs, the rhinestone clasps on the back of the aisle chairs the sashes, the draped columns, the pedestals, the floral arrangements, everything was beautiful The reception room was lovely. The spacing of the tables, the setting of the head table, was perfect. The food, from the appetizers to the desserts, were fabulous. We had, ribs, chicken wings, crab balls, fried shrimp, fruit and cheese for the appetizers. Each was succulent. Our main entrée was a chicken breast and salmon medallion combo. It was great and the portions were huge. The cake was both beautiful and delicious and the fondue bar was scrumptious. The service was on point. The Maitre’D was courteous, helpful, professional and accommodating. I know that I am not easily impressed, however, La Fontaine Bleue, greatly exceeded my expectations. Our guests are still talking about what a lovely time they had. If your child is getting married and you want to have a memorable occasion, you want to have your wedding at La Fontaine Bleue. My daughter and her husband were very pleased and they had a good time. One word of advice. Go for the Elite Package. I think the extra’s really made a difference in the ambience!

AMAZING. How many time can I say it. From beginning to end, all I say was that my event was a total SUCCESS. Everything was great. The staff, the set-up, the Maitre’D, the cooks, the servers — everybody played a vital role in making my Wedding Reception wonderful. My family members and friends are still raving about how special the evening was and to this I owe it all the wonderful people at LaFontaine Bleue. Please be assure that I will have my 5yr anniversary there and hopefully the same Maitre’D will be there to easy my bridezilla nerves.

Had our wedding here on the 30th of June and it was just terrible. We’re thankful that they gave us an hour extra to do our ceremony last minute because our ceremony got cancelled at the garden due to the power outage. Food came out soooooooo late. Our ceremony ended around 9 and food the entrée didn’t come out till around 10:30. Our guests were starving. We had a teamed platter; salmon and sirloin. The salmon was good but the sirloin was tough and dry. We are so disappointed with their service. It is as if it was their first time catering a wedding. We were supposed to get an ice cream bar and champagne to toast as part of our package and it never happened. In addition, the wedding favors we gave to them to put at each table were only placed on a couple tables. We had 20 tables! After the wedding, we called them about our concerns. They kept saying that their director was busy or not available to speak. So we came to the facility to talk. Again the director stepped out, how convenient. The lady wrote down our concerns and said that she will pass it on to the director and she will give us a call. Haven’t heard from them ever since! We paid for the highest package and didn’t get everything guaranteed in our package. Very disappointed. Unprofessional!

So I’m not totally white. But my white side takes over when its time to dance. Think Carlton a la Fresh Prince. Its that bad. But I like dancing. I don’t care how dumb I look. Or how white I look. The totally charming Hilvic N. decided to throw a UYE here in support of DC’s truest sound, Go Go. When I was first asked to go to a go-go I immediately called my father and asked him about go go clubs and what to wear. Daddy was very wrong. The go-go he and I were thinking of is not what DC go go is all about. Well congratulations to PG county for giving me my first ever pat down/metal detection before walking into a nightclub. I have only ever seen this on TV/movies. It was scary, but I am thankful they are looking out for everyone’s wellbeing. I felt really really underdressed. The crowd to see Be’la donna was older and dressed to the nines. These women were dressed to find a husband, I was dressed to teach second grade. Coat check is $ 1 and the girl taking your items is pretty cute. The bathrooms are lovely as well, and its the first place I’ve ever been where women fully utilized the lounge area. Girls were drinking, primping, gossiping, laughing, and carrying on. I felt almost bummed that I hadn’t come with any of my girlfriends to goof off with. There were 4 bars, one in each corner, and no lines. Easy to get drinks. And there was a lovely food line. Fried chicken wings(i dont know that there was mambo sauce), waffles(FRESH!), fries, shrimp, and chicken tenders. They take visa. I had fun, and the live music is great! Definitely a genre of its own that deserves some respect. Got to love that cowbell. And it has totally solidified the fact that I cannot dance. But I still have fun. And that’s all that matters.

Leave your Fruit Stripes gum in the car. They will take it from you upon entry when you are searched. That being said, spit that razor blade out from under your tongue as well. They ain’t playin’ with ya. It was great to check this spot out with some of my favorite Unilocalers last night to see all-female go go band, Be’la Dona, winner of the WKYS Go-Go Award for best up-and-coming group. La Fontaine Bleue is reminiscent of a grand ballroom. It just happens to stand alone on a barren strip of Annapolis Rd. Good thing is, there is plenty of parking. In fact, the entire lot is available for this venue. Although I arrived at around 7:45pm, there was already a line out of the door. I was a little worried I was going to have to pay a cover since the line was moving slowly as there were only allowing two males and two females in at a time, but luckily a gentleman came out to give everyone admission tickets who were in line before 8:00pm. Although I got in before 8:00pm, it was reassuring to know that I wasn’t going to have to pay a cover. The crowd was mostly folks in their 30−40s but there were definitely folks younger and older than that. The short order food included waffles, chicken wings, sliders, chicken nuggets, fried shrimp and some damn good french fries. To my surprise, they even took credit cards. I had to leave before the all-female Be’la Dona performed, but while I was there I was able to enjoy the DJ that played lots of old school hits and tons of baby making music that your uncle probably laid it down to back in the day. We even warmed up a little bit with some line dancing before the first band took the stage. All in all, I had a good time but the randomness of this place might throw you off unless you’re ready for it. If you’re going to go, go for the music and embrace everything else for what it is.

I can only speak on Thursdays first off. There is a company called«Made in the City» that has grown and sexy(kind of) events every Thursday. After work party’s if you will for the grown. I would say the age starts at 25 but the max age could be anywhere. I went when it first started and I think it was better then. The live band«Suttle Thoughts» were great as usual(if you get a chance to see them GO) they have other bands go on before them like Bella Donna or something like that(don’t mean to mess the name up) but Suttle to me is the best. Come early for happy hour, and I mean EARLY because it goes fast. Meaning they end it after an hour(sucks) They play old school, all types. Its either hit or miss with the music though because they go back old school with the gogo for a little while as well as other genres so if you ain’t feeling it you ain’t feeling it lol. But the DJ that plays sets is alright. The DJ tends to not switch it up as much, I don’t want to come the next week and know what you are going to play for your throw back segment :-/When the event first began people danced and enjoyed themselves and its KINDOF still like that on SOME nights but NOW, since it got kind of popular(ex. EU showing up to play, etc WTF, eventually everything hot has to add EU or Chuck Brown… I’m good on that ;-/) the younger generation shows up and just stands around looking uncute and swagged out with no dance partner(that’s not swag) and it makes it uncomfortable. So… I would say if you want a good band, a cheap table and you are with friends celebrating something, experience it. But if you want upscale, not the place for you. The people are cool but iffy, I want to be certain to have a good time myself. side note: I still go from time to time just to see if I get a good night. We win some, we lose some
